A Nov 2019
I got a twitch in my nose
Just can keep still
Because you'll never know
That I love you for real

It's cute when we say it
But it's more than that
It's the feeling of taking a leap
Knowing it might be a step back

Don't know how you'll react...

But I love you
The whole you
The person in and out
Who's crooked smile
is the only thing I think about

And even when your mouth
droops down into a frown
I want to be the one to help you through
Whatever it is you need to do
to make you smile again
But will "more than a friend"
make you frown?

Auntie? Are you proud of me?
As you watch me learn and grow from above,
Are you proud of how far I’ve come?
Do you shed a tear to see how strong I am?
Do you wish you were here to witness how much of a lady I’ve become?
Do you wish you could be here for your sister? My mom?
Do you wish you could guide her in the right direction in life? Far from the bottom?
Auntie? Can you see me typing this poem wanting nothing more than to wrap your arms around our family?
Hoping that your prayers and wishes become upon us?
We’re so lost without you auntie, I wish you had never left.
I wish you were still here protecting everyone.

Transmission teeth.

Down the back loc.
N out the sad top.
Plus one.
& plus two.
Making sad flocks.
Of people.
Screamin’.
& cryin’
And flyin’ about a new world.
One that has fingers in hairdos.
& coffee grounds for *******.
Talking over new vocations.
Guitar strings in heck fire.
Hell fire.
& lava.
Green organs blazing down in ancient rains.

I Choose to be without you.
Because I choose,
To be sad without you,
Rather than ,  not happy with you.
#happy #sad #you #me #choose

Why not stay for a while.

Hey Ma.
It’s me.
Alex put the dishes in the graveyard.
But I didn’t believe her.
She’s been studying for the chair leg test.
But I guess all the best rockin’ chairs come from over here in Laurel
Canyon.
My bud said he got tired of all the mice in Greenwich.
So he bought a whole cage of em.
Syd & Jim took a hike.
They’re looking as thin as ever.
The neon sky Drops packs of cigarettes and water jugs regularly.
So we’re all in tip top shape.
Don’t forget to close your over door.
                         Your last son.

the spent breeze rises up, moving,

****** into, ******* up air in our lungs
but yet still! the spirit weak,
the teeth useless chewing,
dry words mashing,
no eat, just pasty

the scars shine
like veins protruding from the top of a man’s neck,
looking like holes in a  rusted car that can’t never
shine no more,
once the breeze stops moving

he sat there while he slow died,
not moving,
nature and his loves
and his
skin slow dry texturized,
desiccating

done.

the spent breeze rises up, moving on...
