End of vacation
Say goodbye to the lake
Under August sun
And August trees
And August sky
Last waves lapping
On the rough rip rap rocks

Station wagon loaded and running
Trailered boat tagging along
Motor lifted and tilted
Asleep until next summer

A holler from brother
"Time to go!"
One last look out at the
plane of blue shining and winking
Then down to my knees
And take a scoop

Oh, if I can only carry
This water home
Start my own lake
My vacation would never end...
This my foolish dream

By the time I got
To my awaiting seat
I only had
A damp hand
But memories that still
Fill the lake in my heart.
A distinct memory from about 40 years ago. Me making one last effort to sustain the vacation as long as I could.

Egan Lake, how I long for you
transcended isotropic view
In my departure somehow I knew

I would never be back;

here with you.

There we were at Lake Tiorati feeling the sun scorch our skin.
Sweat dripped from our bodies at Lake Tiorati and we were parched for a swim.
It was 80 degrees to hot even to breathe,
and still the lake jeered at our pain.
Tiorati lapped at the shore acting a tease,
seductively calling us in.
And then with a snap and a "**** it I'm done",
came the shirt off my back,
and all followed, one by one.
In Lake Tiorati on an 80 degree day, with wet sweaty bodies,
we broke the rules to play.
Jesus it was ******* HOT

I lost somewhere
In the translucent water
With the blue violet hues
Where there are no ripples
And dirt to destroy the beauty
Of that crystal clear water
Which is known as blue lakes

Somewhere I melted
In its calmest surface
As a transcendence
Vanished in heavenly lakes
Of mystical drops
Like a mermaid 🧜‍♀️

With its first sight
I dreamed to dive in
To enjoy the visible depth
Of crystal lake
Became a real dream
As it is the most clear water
Recorded in the world

Dreaming as a swimmer 🏊‍♀️
In the clearest natural waters
Is the gorgeous Blue lake
Also known as
Rotomairewhenua
Which means lake of peaceful lands
That located in Nelson lakes National Park of New Zealand

Being a dreamer’s dream
Will remain as it is
Due to it’s sacredness
Thus not allowed to enter
In the divine lake
Which holds the visibility record
Upto 80 meters or 250 feet

Deep in the eternal blue
With its pristine waters
Everyone wish to swim in it
That is not possible
As is maintained for clear water record
But anyone can enjoy
Its incredible view
By staying in
Any of the 700 near huts
Will definitely be a
Eternal cool view
In the heart of calm blue
Heavenly lake
The beauty of crystal clear blue lake is mesmerising and that too with a clear visual depth and with no ripples in it make it really calm and cool.

prill on tranquil loch
and my image rippled out
as words on mind lakes

I lost the sun so
I asked the trees
In darkness they mourned
And threw their leaves
Down to the cold
Hard ground

I asked the wind
It shushed me loudly

I asked the house
That slept alone
It sat there with eyes closed

I asked the lake
The ripples laughed
At my request
And sparkled specks
From sky above.
Nights at the lake in September can be very poetic.

Under the water,
Watching as the silver surface moves.
Quickly calm, as the darkness pours into ears.
The mind at rest,
Apart from the world the silence is best.
The pressure pushing into softest of spaces.

The lake is thick,
Swimming between fingers as if to hold its hand.
Keep on falling,
In a world lacking gravity,
Reaching for something to hold whilst knowing there’s nowhere to stand.
