Experiment with insignificant moments that come your way
Simplicity and magic often accompany each other
Do not be afraid of the enchantment
Be, just be....

Brian Hill - 2020 # 17
Are you afraid to just be?

Dear ethereal nothing
Having become rather fond of never
You will find me in an aching muscle dream
The kind which lasts no more than fog
And clears like eyes with only blinks
Observe my lostness if you must
Find in it an ounce of head turn on my behalf
Or not, regardless
Look around and see this hollow earth
These steady hands which know no more of thought
Than your heart of dose of sound
A letter wish this also reads
But just in case your ethereal being has yet been freed
I end this lay and say lay down my pen
Addressing this to the cosmos through
And to no one in particular, this
I still do
Just so you know

“I was just
joking,” You Say but
I don’t feel any laughter
coming - something funny is
there though it’s the
Just, the
Just makes What You
Say both less and
somehow
more

the funny (not
haha) part is: What
You Say is not can
never be

I'm laying down
Head on my pillow
Wondering you're doing the same
Knowing you, probably not
I can close my eyes and picture you
Easier than I would like
Sitting in bed
Watching tv and
Eating lukewarm ramen
I shouldn't miss you like this
We never had anything
Yet I still hold out hope
That we can change that
So uh... remember how I was talking about how I wasn't gonna be selfish? Yeah... bout that...
