Ever wonder what it would be like,
If the world suddenly ceased to exist?
Like a flash of light, a snap of a finger,
Gone in an instant.

Everything we’ve ever done, seen, and thought,
All in vain, like it never even occurred.

For what purpose is life, if all of humanity becomes equal in that instant?
Perhaps it is true that the only guaranteed equality in life is that of death.
I’m 99% sure you aren’t reading this so bkdlepejfbf

indulging in something yet to come
wasting “time”
even if it doesn’t exist
it’s so persistent
barriers “I” can’t scale
like water through the cracks
Like the atoms intertwined in everything
the storm has settled
there’s stories to tell
Fragments to share
Bring it into existence without any hope
Art isn’t meant for you to cope

HP is a great community, we write about whatever we want, I love seeing all the ways we can talk about our day to day lives. Its beautiful and rewarding. Write about what makes you happy. Never let anyone else determine that.

In breath I twinkle
inside a hello poetry sky.
Stars sing along
as night hours make room
for a creative flow.

Sometimes my verse sings
daintily as moon joins in
to dance with beams.
Other times the HP sky
becomes a stepping stone
for deep travel into verse.

When sun rises and takes command
in changing of the guard
the sun of Hello poetry sky continues
as my heart sings in gratitude.

We are indeed a team
making the best of a creative land
and open sky.
Thank you HP

How I ponder with a why.
Why my words become so deep
that is when I take a seat.

Wandering eyes shifting
Gorgeous smiles lying
Friendly spirits lifting
Quiet voices dying

I walked past him again
My quiet overcoming me
I walked past him yet gain
My quiet destroying us
I have a nasty habit of ghosting people

As the violinist brushes the bow against the instrument
She takes in a deep breath
She takes in those painful memories
And she exhales
They’re gone
Hitting her in flashes
She has to overcome the darkness that stands in the way of her light
She is torn
Because even if she wants to leave her past
She still holds some of those memories clutched tight to her thumping heart
Even the ones that haunt her the most
You see
She is split down the middle
Her mind is saying go
But her body won’t even tilt
She’s frozen stuck in a life
That she had wept about in nightmares
She was strong
But she couldn’t wrap her mind around living like this anymore
She got the message when her eyes would no longer shine
And she had to force a smile on to her face
She just wanted to be normal again
She wanted her violin to bring her joy
Once more
It had been her only sanctuary
The only place she called home
Dear Poetry,
You are one of a kind,
You were a love, hard to find,
With you I can leave the world behind,
To one more refine,
Dear poetry,
You fill me with hope,
With words that help me cope,
You lift my spirits oh so high,
Dear poetry,
I'll love you until I die...
