Take it with a grain of salt they say
little do they know
that one grain
does
make
things
salty

Woe to the country
once full of pulcher and life
torn by ideals and strife

woe to the bullet
gunshots gnawing through flesh
seeking for the life supposed to take

woe to the soldier
nursing death
desolate of the horrors he has mete

woe to the army
marching steadfast
clung upon by ghosts of foes and comrades past

woe to the child
walking towards home
but sees only wreckage; broken dreams

woe to the families
braving the seas
yonder hope for safety

woe to the lives
wasted
upon what exactly?

woe to us
can we not hear their cries?
or is it indifference?

woe to mankind
woe to you, oh man!
what have you become?

**What have we become?
the devil leers.

So you said that I should pay my dues but I'm sure that I'm in credit
And until I can prove it's true and news, you'll pretend you never said it
It won't matter what you say or do I'll believe what I'm believing
So slice off another piece of you and I promise I'll be leaving

That steamy weather
That moist air
Your addictive kisses
Your lingering touch
Your mesmerizing eyes
Your porcelain body
Your seductive curves
The way you hold me
And cherish me in your arms
The way you smile at me
And how it takes me away
How it blew my mind
And dulled my senses
I wish I could press rewind

How vivid it was for me
Everything you made me feel
And yet how come I alone
Have these memories of you and me?
Went to the weird side of the internet, found this "phenomenon"
****.

Smiles, tram cars, stinging eyelids
Transparent brittle shards,
Ashes finding water surface
All of this onto a palm
Locked into a fist

I’m the coin that’s landing on its rim
The odds were slim and yet
I am standing on a grin
The third side says that
Karma always wins
