" Who is in there? !  Answer eh! "
The shadow trembled .                 " Are you black or white?!"
" I am hungry, sir. '' The voice replied.

Why is it that souls are judged on the basis of their colour?  This disgraceful conjecture which has been dejecting people  for centuries, seems on an external tenure. When will it bear a full stop? Be it the western nations, where it determines a person's status or the southern, where it decides a person's magnitude of beauty. Although, this mind set is hobbling downwards, yet some vestiges are still sparky, which are needed to be hushed off.

Once upon a time
In a land not so far away
Wait, Sorry that was right here
        Last summer this very day
        I bought three bunnies
        black white and grey.

        before bringing them in
        I worked all things out
        built three wooden warrens
        poured milk in separate bowls
        As I put them down
        like a precious prize
what they did then and there
        took me by surprise.

        All three baby rabbits
        latched onto the same cup
like allies in a fight pit
        they went slurp slurp slurp
But I tried to let that slide
maybe they were hungry and dazed
Later that night I put them to bed
in their wooden boxes side by side

        Waking up the next day
what I saw blew me away
        cuddling together in one box
there they were cozy and gay
        Do they fail to see
        the difference in their color
like we the "righteous" humans do!
Don't they feel superior to one another
like we with our clever conscience do!

Are we the savages or are they?
        Is humanity just a cliche?
        From cavemen to civil beings
are we too evolved to see
        Death doesn't discriminate
        So why should we?
We all were created equals and as equals, we shall live

We all have baggage
We all have hate
We All bleed red
Yet we all discriminate

We all have bodies
We all have a different color and size
Yet We have a "perfect" body
That we all buy

We don't all have money
We don't all have fame
Yet this is what we all base it off of
Your status or you name

Let's not talk about our ethnicity.
Let's,for a while, we don't see our races.
Let's not,for some individual's fault, blame the whole community.
Let's not judge someone just by looking at their faces.

Let's not isolate someone just beacuse he prays some other God.
Let's not detach those strings just because he's not one of you.
Let's not, by seeing someone's clothes, feel odd.
Let's just peep into those inner feelings which are always true.

Let's not create hierarchies in caste & treat everyone equally.
Let's not differentiate any man or woman.
Let's not think ourselves superior & become bully.
And
Let's, just for once, we all become human.
When God sent us here, he didn't assign races, religions and all with our names. He sent us as human beings - One common race. Then who are we to discriminate anyone on such basis that never even existed.
Where does a heart beat when all about it simply misunderstand
why it has been beating
what it needs to keep beating
and a direction pointed to a better time and place
where it isn't constantly battered and compared
"You haven't earned your space"
"You are one in a thousand trying to do the same thing."
However, the love for what you wish to do and create
From blood,sweat,and tears
it is a song that's hard to sing
years of perfection
Vocal practice
Before the created products are discarded as "Unneeded"
What about my heart frightens you?
Never the same as all the others
Never employing the same routine as the others
I am sick of being the one pushed out as the "sudden example"
to the flock
Where does one fill the emptiness without sisters and brothers?
Maybe a new fresh idea on the block frightens you since it might
"be the next best thing.. or maybe not."
One never knows unless chances are given
Without openness, the albatross has now a completed knot.

We must not need to define a "shelf" on Life's Display Case of
Importance
In order to get along and mingle

If we interact, right
Hey, this might be the "newest of Jingles?"

Open your hand and give a true chance.
Alike a sweat soaked Tango... Such a "Dance" is quite complex
In life, most things are a "complicated Dance."

Tired and exhausted, here I sit
Thinking of the things that have changed today.
M Still confused, why it happened to her.
She has lost everything today.  Everything.
Her childish smile, carefree looks, innocent eyes.
Everything.
It’s lost now.
Her once sparkling eyes are lifeless now,
There she is sitting with a heavy heart,
Like soulless a creature.
Though she has not died physically
But her soul, her purity, her charms, her senses are taken away of her.
She is still pondering what her fault was.
Why that filthy looking creature who she has once considered her uncle
Had touched her.
Why he kissed her like that.
Her once gleaming eyes are now clouded with tears.
Her pride has been shaken.
It seems as if the man’s touch has taken everything that once belonged to her.
She is still wondering why she wasn’t able to react to that man.
Why this was done to her.
She took him to be a father like a figure
And he tried to destroy her pride.
That small girl, who has not turned even sixteen until now
Is surrounded with darkness
Wondering why she was so soft then
Even after knowing whatever is happening is wrong.
She could have called out for help but all she did was,
She sat there mindlessly…….
It wasn’t that she was illiterate a child,
No, she was quite educated a girl.
She had knowledge about the actions that could have been taken.
Yet, she sat there lifelessly….
Angry, no she wasn’t angry
For she knew it was not man’s fault
But it was her fault that she had allowed him so far
She was quite, I guess because she would have been taught to be polite,
To be quite and to behave nicely
For she was born a girl.
She is not suppose to speak out loud
Even if something wrong happens to her
After all she is a girl…..

But yes, indeed some things have changed today
Some emotions took shape in her…some feelings born and some died...
Anger and hate toward men had born
And that small girl of sixteen with gleaming eyes and huge bright smile has died….
She is no more...
The one who replaced her is stronger than ever.
She knows how to speak out loud.
She has learnt that verbally abusing the one
Who is sexually abusing you is better an alternative.
She has learnt to be bold enough to stand against society...
But still emptiness and darkness is there
Somewhere within her
Prevailing continuously
And will keep growing forever…
For her soul has been shattered today……..

You told me
that God is love
oh tell me mamma,
did you lie to me?

I'm good, actually
I met the person of my dreams
do you miss me?

You said things
about being kind
and then you forced me to leave
for the kind of girl I am

You know, dad used to kiss me
before bed
now he doesn't even care
if I am okay

And I'm sorry but I am not
how you can say that
God loves us all
and the call a problem
the woman I love?

Parents should protect
their children at all costs
but when I opened my heart
you both told me it wasn't right
and then falling in love became
falling apart

How dare you blame her?
she doesn't feel ashamed
and she never leaves me alone
how can you judge her?
she wasn't the one that
left at my worst

So I'm sorry but I'm not
and if you still ask me to leave her
I will pray for you

and if you really believe
that God is love
practice what you preach
and maybe one day
I'll visit the place
I used to call home.

Youth is only accepted when the cameras are ready.
Pose for a picture by reason of Getty.
Gone are the days of sticks and stones and spilled milk.
We live in a melting *** that has been dropped and spilt.
This is not an adults swim only.
We will all jump into the pool.
This is not a land of first come, first serve.
I speak cause I’ve got nerve.
Our age is not a reflection of our IQ.
Our age is the tape that covers our mouths.
Our age is not a representation of our wisdom.
We won’t be seen and not heard.
Because our voices are the anthem of a rebellion.
I wrote this because so many adults in my life have tried to keep me from expressing my feelings.
