Among the Witch community,
Whether you notice it or not, we’ve resparked Witch Wars
and it’s all been riding on this saying:

-- She who cannot hex, cannot heal.
She who cannot curse, cannot cure. --

Wards & Defense Magick are great and all,
but what about when time comes where you’re stuck in the Offense?

what happens when you or (if you’re a healer) someone who’s in need of healing
comes to you, and you have to turn them away
simply because you can’t identify/fix the problem.

In short, you’re incapable of healing that person;
You, as a “Healer”, are now disgracefully claiming the name.
All because the fact is the harm is rooted in either a hex
or curse, and knowing how to deal with that -needless to say- would take
Your complete understanding of hexing and cursing.

That level of understanding is what you need to identify what’s being cast on them and from that point, know how to reflect or break it;

And in harsher/stronger situations, having that judgement is vital when deciding if/how/what to cast back.

But it's all still somehow a ******* debate.
So Welcome to the Age of Witch Trials: By Witches, For Witches.
now featuring among the Witches near you.

Re:  Roy Moore
Let dos and don'ts prevail
Where man cannot decide,
Remove the uncertainty veil
And put instincts aside

And build a concrete fence
Between all right and wrong
For the sake of social rules and hence
For the sake of pitiful us all.

And let us grow less human,
Robotically designed,
With obvious solutions,
Uncertainties consigned...

Show me the spine of morality
And give me a choice to make
For who am I, if not a gambler
Playing on fine ethics edge?
After a long day of debates on morality. A recall of an inner monologue from a few years ago. Opinion refined, arguments sharpened, but basically... having the same first thoughts.

i didn't think things
would get this worse

to where discourse
turns to discord.

we thought with force,
we fought with sources

when we were taught
to endorse reinforcement.

I was officially born in the 17th century.
My homeland was England.
My parents were many.
They conceived me in coffeehouses.

I was officially born in the 17th century,
When the crowns of Scotland and England united,
When James VI, King of Scots,
Ascended to the throne of England as James I;
When civil wars between roundheads and cavaliers
Ended in Parliamentary victory,
At the Battle of Worcester.

I was officially born in the 17th century,
At the time of Interregnum,
Commonwealths, Glorious Revolution,
William and Mary
and the English Bill of Rights.
Reformation and proliferation of literacy:
People learnt to read the Bible,
Then chose to be curious and explore,
Secular literature and novels
In circulating libraries.

My parents were many.
They conceived me in coffeehouses,
Scattered around the city,
Spread throughout the country,
And finally reached abroad:
Another Revolution,
on the other side of the Channel.

My parents were many.
They met at intellectual bacchanalia,
In reading societies and clubs,
‘Cause that’s where news was communicated.
Freely criticizing politics and governments,
They engaged in conversations
in an environment of confrontation,
Social status set aside,
To listen, exchange, formulate,
Understand and comprehend.

Another William called me ‘mistress of success’,
Blaise thought I was ‘the queen of the world’.
Being well informed and debate in social networks
Was a duty, before being a right,
As my parents’ opinion would guide the rulers,
Ideally in the interest not of few, not of many,
but of all.

First heeded by governments,
They quickly learnt to manipulate me,
They muzzled me and domesticated me,
Taking away my freedom and relevance,
With the unofficial excuse by which
My parents were too ignorant
to even have a voice.

Now those coffeehouses have changed their shape,
Intangible, virtual, ethereal,
New spaces for new parents
To develop ideas, opinions,
And exchange;
Not currencies or stocks
but information and views.

I am my parents’ voice,
My name is Public Opinion.

When cliffs and waves clash
Continuous tournament
Victor is unknown
~.~
Imagine if cliffs were our believes
And waves the opinions of others
Will the debate ever stop?
How often do we change our mind?
But just like it is on shores
Sometimes waves bring nice shells and stones.
So does the ongoing debate.
There is no clear victor
But the debates might always bring good ideas.
Therefore
Lets embrace debates
Even if they don't end up with us changing our believes
Because
We might be missing out on some great ideas!
