To Wait
 Oct 2016 Ronney
Sam
is to listen.
To be here and there.
In the wind,
As it spirals around.

is to be patient.
To stay put.
In the line,
As it moves forever.

is to forget.
To walk away.
In the confusion,
As it builds more.

is to see.
To observe.
In the community,
As it crumbles down.

is to stop.
To glace.
In the thought,
As it whirls whenever.

is to be.
To exist.
In the sadness,
As it eternally soars.

Dark Delusion
I can’t wake up from the dream.
No matter how much I try.
Even how much I scream.
I know I’m ready to die.

But the light frees me.
From the closed eyes.
Now I live to see.
The so beautiful sunrise.

protected I sit alone
lacking the comfort of love
no one to soothe my isolation
surviving an angry crowd
i want to scream out loud
where is my equal
someone strong in spirit
able to find love under the pain
pain from slights of countless people
love not gone
just covered up tight
out in the open
what others see
not the real me
pain that has a life of it's own
taking my laughter
eating away at my joy
leaving me protected and alone

Can I sing
Can I float upon his guitar string
Do I dare to grow
When will I know

to leave
and will the angels grieve
at thought of me
being gone? On my own?
Am I on my own?

I am not a work of art
nor will I ever be
as long as we assume that
a very human Human
is shattered at every thought,
everyone tells me
Let it die
and stop the crying
We are more than death’s travesty rhyming

(What future is this here in my hands?
What is there to touch unless one
Thrusts their arm
Forward?

Show me
that people can really break,
for I believe that
if this were true
being in love would have done so already)

Sweet freedom rains from heavens away
Listen for the kingdom has wisdom today

Spring on my seed
This world wont rule you forever
Worries, you shant need
Those who fret can't be clever

We all live for the chance at love
But scheming up in the blue
Sending notes by way of dove
Swooping down to show me you

Fairest body, and hair does flow
A magic smile and eyes that know

You can't put all of your happiness
into one person. They are
temporary. They do not last
forever.

Things break.

The dependence is a thin line that stitches
your heart to the object,
struggling to not slack,
and one day,
like she broke you,
you will crash backward.
That's the thing about poets
Where others see a storm
We are reminded that our hearts are not alone in their torment
Where others hear rain
We hear the whispers of a thousand forgotten dreams
Where others feel cold
We feel ice piercing into our souls making us bleed out all of our secrets

That's the thing about poets
Only the beautifully tragic can understand them
