Roses are red.
My name is not Dave.
This poem makes no sense.

The moon breaks through the window with luminosity
Your chest rises and falls lightly with every calming breath
My pale fingers trace your gorgeous skin as I lay awake
I blink with every inhale of breath your sleeping body takes
Our legs are tangled together to keep us from moving apart

My fingers seem to trail towards your collar bones
Chirping crickets and hissing cicadas fill the silent void
My colorless lips tug into a smile for you have awoken
Your lips lure towards my ear in a swift manner
Words of love and wishes for the future pour from your lips

And we end the night with a simple kiss
A stolen life
run by a stranger
who looks a lot like me.

Before this automaton
fell from the sky
and took my place,
I used to be a little more human.

I’m an alien.
Revisiting a planet
that I’ve already been to
and one where I don’t belong.

A planet where it seems like there are no answers;
where life
and people,
continue to baffle
and confuse me.

I’m just going through the motions.
Nodding
like a toy dog
and smiling in all the right places.

Every day
slowly unfolds
much like the one before,
leaving me further behind
and feeling a little less human.

Angel?

In That Moonlit Night Standing In The Abaft,
Watching The Towed Flaccid Wooden Raft,
I Thought That I Saw An Angel Resting,
Lying Exhausted There In That Craft.

I Call The Girl Out Unbeknownst Of Her Kind Name,
"Hey Young Lady!!" To Which She Didn't Much Respond,
She Looked Up Towards Me Once In Anguish & Collapsed,
I See Desperation In Her Amber Eyes & Resolve To Help Her.

The Crewmen Had Now Been Doing The Paddles After Resting,
I Summon My Captain & Ask, "Do You See That Girl In The Raft?"
The Senile Captain Smiles To Say, "Commodore, Better Get Married,"
I Look Just Clueless To Which He Simply Replies, "There Is No Girl."

True He Was As She Had Simply Disappeared,
I Started Thinking Of My Sleep Needs That Day,
I Looked Around Again In A Hope To Find The Girl,
I Had Compromised My Routine As The Commodore.

Then I Immediately Realized It Was My Wild Phantasm,
Now This Was Just A Plain Illusion Of A Tired Sailor's Mind,
No Mermaids Could Have Ever Existed In Reality & Were Fake,
I Turned Towards The Deck To Go Back To My Bunk For Sleeping.

As I Climbed Down The Stairs To Enter My Room Amazed & Dazed,
I Saw Her Standing And Waiting For Me By The Side Of My Bunk,
I Accepted That Delusion Of My Mind & Started To Lie Down,
She Said, "I'm As Real As Your Thoughts, Don't Fear Me."

She & I-Me & Her, Had The Best Time That Night,
In The Morning She Was Gone & Was Just Gone,
Disappeared Into Thin Air While I Was Asleep,
Each Day I So Dearly Long For Her To Return.

Tonight

Tonight,
It feels calm yet perturbed
Carrying this weight of regret
Fills my heart with malevolent beats of distress
Pumping motions of prying blood
Purple tint stains as it cuts
Screaming in pain but to no avail
Help is not needed but weary the mind
"You’ll seek what you’ll find
Beneath the shadows of imminent time.”

Tonight,
Verged with desire
To seek the forgotten light
Above the skies and among the stars
Hidden within this immense universe
Waiting as it pours
To the ground with glinting flames
For when I will get better
I will turn all this mess
Into beautiful shades of existence
Prior to what has held to evade norms
To change what was lost
To be claimed and found.

Tonight,
To feel what is certain
Yet leading to disappointment
Crying in vain to appease regret’s misery
I believe in fate
To a whole new life’s beginning
Displeasing life to graze within its end
Without it,
It has no meaning.

*Tonight,
The love we were once hurt to prevail
Learning to love and be loved again
And live in happiness until forever ends.
Everynight you'll have these thoughts that will haunt you till morning.
Insomnia. Let it rest.
Overcome it.
You are better than this!
You deserve every tinge of happiness in your dreams when you sleep.
So sleep and when you wake up,
Learn to love yourself again.

Chance
I will share with you
My empire of dirt
If you should ever decide to cast me out
Through the heavens I'll fall
I do not blame you at all
For i have nothing to give
But im sure as hell going to try
To give you all that's left of me
Maybe we can build something new
We can take a walk in eachothers shoes
And make sure the laces stay tied
As the soles wear away i can learn to confide
If we ever trip or break our stride
Feel free to bind the strings and throw them over a telephone line
To come back to another time
They will not wither
They will not break
If they ever fall
The ground will shake
And let us know its time to come back home
No two souls are destined to be alone
Our spirits have bathed in one anothers glow
The scent is one they've grown to know
Held hands throughout the cold
And will surely hold fast as destruction surrounds the place we call home

I adore you and you alone

I see the raindrops fall,
They drench everything...
I remember you in rainfall,
You are the only one for me..
I miss you, you are my missus,
Rest of the world is incomplete.

A chunk of intimacy,
Another part of closeness.
Sweet traces of disagreement,
In the warmth of our arms.
Yes, together with these,
We brew the drink of love.
It being largely uncontrolled,
We let most of things happen.

And trust my words about love,
Things are being pretty perfect.
