Running through the parallels of life,
Its easy to get stuck in your position,
Too stuck up and heart cold as ice,
They say life comes down to your decisions,
You think but from your own perspective
Not realizing your thought process is potentially destructive
Leading to a shock everytime you're surprised,
Good or bad, you smile it up in disguise
So if you choose to live in your own little world
And watch life slowly unfurl
Know that you are completely oblivious
Living in a world rather insidious

Find Yourself!

Life wants to slow me down
But I'm sprinting all the way to the crown
Boy I used to be lost at every turn
Demeanor of a James Bond
What every boy yearns
I wish to paint pictures
Cant draw so I'll do it through scriptures
Nightmares dominating good dreams
Evil gobbling up my good sleep
Result of a disturbed subconscious
Be yourself, this ain't no contest
Do yourself, you don't need context

Speak My Mind

Money ain't a thing if I got it,
If I made a million, I wont just let it sit,
Mind flows free like a levy breach,
Insight from the inside set me off to preach,
I will and I absolutely have to speak my mind
No pad, no drum, no break to this grind
Chasing the wrong things brings nothing but stress
Love what you have and you'll worry less
Circumstances turn good people into a mess
All born innocent, life handles the rest
Mistakes are imminent at all times
I pour my mind all over these rhymes
No need for a matchstick or a lighter
Baptized by fire so only natural I turned out a fighter.

Marching on

Used to be able to find peace in silence
But my mind has turned into a war scene, full on violence,
There's things I've tried to put away
That continue to haunt me everyday
I'm just gonna let it all pour out,
Ignoring all mockery and doubt.
My course was set but
I jumped ship and took a different route
To explore my own destiny
And ignore what others had picked for me

A little word with myself

Always felt a need to impress
Whether in front of girls or a benchpress
Never could quite fit in
Feel like I stand out even when Im sitting
Insecurities pressed ******* my conscious
What that takes me through is just viscous
Ive tried to overcome it all and open a third eye
Then I realized perfection itself is a lie
Now its just a matter of convincing myself
Letting go of the past and starting a new life
When everyone and Everything tries to shut you down
You just have to dust the dirt off
And pick yourself up off the ground

Same Beginning

In a different zone
Lost touch with people I’ve known
Moving in a different direction
Not in the search of perfection
I gave up that dream as soon as I realized
Everyone’s faulty and that’s what makes us prized
To learn from mistakes and become wiser
Maybe lend a hand and be nicer
Keep moving regardless
No matter what pain, sorrow, stress
Hard times remind me of my mistakes
Glad I’m far away from these fakes
I know Imma make it no matter what it takes
They can keep looking down on me
They might even knock me down on one knee
But I’m not going out without a fight
Life’s a *****, she never played me right
