The zeal of God's Love for our hearts and souls
    cannot be matched or conquered by human willpower;
It can only be rejected by our cursed nature.
Not exactly a poem, more of a meditation on our relationship with divinity.

The meaning of leaves in
a refreshing cool wind
He chose to live
for friendship
Not for that
other thing
Refreshing cool wind on a cross and died. He chose to live for friendship, live for survival, not for that thing any more. This is the meaning of it clung to her old leaves new myriads? Of lingering leaves

The busy day of taxing
became one of relaxing when  in hushed
silence they stared at the Bethlehem Star
Did the star sparkle with colors that made
people silently exclaim  oh and awe?
In star stuck amazement the Shepherds left
their tasks to behold the Bethlehem star
Did the star shine like a beacon to light the way
to bring people safely home
In case I forgot to mention it got peoples attention
from near and far who wanted to get a closer look at
the Bethlehem Star
Did the constellations align in the shape of a mother and a child
making it a very rare sign that drew the Wise men from afar?
To the Baby Born that day the star lit the way for people to find him
What a unique invitation to every tribe in every nation
What a joyous birthday party invitation

Sometime later the star might had dimmed but for those who trust in Him the light is still shining today, there are pieces of that light shining in all the hearts of everyone he calls sons and daughters
The light still shines like a beacon for those who are seeking for Him
His  invitation still stands today for every tribe and every nation
No need to RSVP, he will  just meet you were you are if you will believe and except his invitation  He is waiting for you to receive the free gift of Salvation that He already paid the price for, He is a friend like no other invite your sons and daughters and friends too
There is a celebration party with all the angels in Heaven when he welcomes us home
In Heaven there are many mansions He is preparing a place for you it does not matter if you are rich or poor He will receive you all
May the light of the Bethlehem star shine brightly not just on one day but all year through and every year after that for You
My wife, Karen, was an excellent cook.....
learned from her mother...
Who learned from her mother

My sister-in-law, Marcia, magnificent....
learned from her mother....
Who learned from her mother

My mother, Grace, exceptional...
especially, when it came to "pies."
Learned from her mother....
who learned from her mother....

Well, they had to learn the art from somewhere!

"Magicians in their kitchens", my father-in-law, Larry, often said, when Karen's mother started preparing a festive meal, especially for a holiday such as Christmas or New Year's. (She could prepare a Crown Roast so tender it could be cut with the blade of a toy rubber knife). All three had a common denominator that was learned from their mothers, our "Grandmothers." Very seldom did either of them use a measuring cup, or spoon.

A 'pinch' of this, a 'dash' of that! If the recipe called for a cup of milk, Karen's mother would tip that bottle of milk over the ***, count to "two", utter "that's about enough." If a recipe called for a cup of flour, my mother would extend her hand over the bowl, pour the flour into her hand, "that's about right," she'd say. The best apple, or peach pie, you ever tasted. "There's something missing", was Marcia's favorite statement, then reach into the pantry for "whatever."

Passed down from grandmothers, to mothers, to daughters, and to sons as well, we all knew that when we sat down at the table, for however long it would be, we would be in heaven. All because of........

"GRANDMOTHERS!"

Bring me rain, rain, boom

Bring me rain, rain, rain,
Let it boom or blossom due
Sunsets kissing the earth
Sky filled with crimson's view
Flow river flow,
Run, earth run
Bring me days unending waves
Days unending tales
Bring me rain, rain, rain,
Let it boom, flow, grow

Evna-Luna©

Sun kissed earth adore the air
Mild blown tears falling freely
Give me paradise, blue or white
Give me years true or through
Bring me rain, fall, fall
Days of glowing health
Trees on river's fronts
Bring me through a broken seal
Give me love that sweeps me in
Bring me rain, rain, boom
Ovi Odiete©

Give me night, nights, boom
Watch me moon, stars, sky
Give me paradise blue, white, blue
Bring me rain, fall, boom
Give me days unending bliss
Give me years unending peace
Bring me glow, glows, boom
Give me earth and paradise blue
Watch me sleep, dream, boom
Bring me paradise blue or white

Angel Come
Angel Come; Come with a Whisper,
With tongues of Mysta
Come in the Night,
And bring us the Light
Come unto Mystery,
To elude our Misery
Angel Come- Angel Go

Angel Come
Come Like a River
To Inhale this Fever
Overshadow me with Shivers,
To see me thus Thither
Like a river Glorious,
In a secret Joyous
Angel Come; Angel Go

Angel Come
Remould my emotions,
To fit my Devotions
Come into the Dark;
And get rid of the Black
Encamp me in your Palms,
To wrap me in your Arms
Angel Come- Angel Go

Angel Come
Come into my Subconscious;
Awaken my Unconscious
Come like an arrowing Rain,
Invade my narrowest Pain
Let me hide my face in You;
For I seek a space in You
Angel Come: Angel Go

The moon shines down,
watching our steps
it gives us light,
in nights deep times
Waking us out
to join the stars
and shine forth still
The moon shines down
and give us calm

The Moon is a symbol of bliss~
As it shines, it gives us calm
