When I look at him,
I see a very bright future,
It's very sad that I,
Can't see myself in it,
Anymore
I talk
but all of my words are sin

I move
but all of my actions are sin

I think
but all of my thoughts are sin

I dance
but all of my rhythms are sin

I sing
but all of my tones are sin

I write
but all of my poems are sin

All of me is a sin

I am a sin

May each mouth
That has touched yours
Lead you to mine.
For they have taught you
The art of slow.
The eager lips of young love
Pale compared to
Those seasoned enough
To savor each movement
As if it were their last meal.

Why do you say you miss me?
There's no need to tell lies.
Why do you say you miss me?
When I won't give us another try.

Why do you say you miss me?
Now that you can't see me everyday.
Why do you say you miss me?
While you give other kisses away.

Why do you say you miss me?
Only talking to me over the phone.
Please don't say you miss me
when what you miss is not being alone.

Today, we carried the world in our pockets
We ran away.

We landed near the tree where you always chose to stay
We played outside while we waited for the rain
We had a lovely day.

We let the sun shine through the blossoming of every moon
The sky felt smooth, and when the rain finally fell,
You smiled, calm, and steadily glowing, blooming against any rain that would ever have to fall again.

And just like the flowers in the end, you laid there, unharmed, waiting.
Today, we had a lovely day.
You have the body of Spring
Your eyes are starry
Glaring
And as you touch with your fingertips the Cosmos,
he holds his breath, full of bliss.

Because life is a mystery
And Truth and Lie are dancers
They step here, they slip there
And they dream
A starry spring night
A caress
A stroll in the sunlit alleys of Paradise.

Because life is a mystery,
but there are no answers.
And humans like galaxies come together.
They twist and twirl.
Trying to understand.
But there's no reason.

Because life is a mystery,
but there is no reason for answers.
Without the mystery there is no life,
there is no dance.
And the dance is beautiful , it's sweet.
And you always learn the steps from someone else.
Never alone.
You never dance alone.
You will always dance together.

You have the body of Spring,
the lost aromas of the far sea.
And inside your heart, the most beautiful dance of all.
I don't know why,
neither I want to know.

Because life is a mystery,
but I don't want the answers.
The lone thing I want is to dance,
but I don't want to dance alone.
For my dancing partner,
I don't want to dance alone.

Birth is  a beginning
and death a destination
And life is a journey:
from childhood to maturity
and youth to age;
from innocence to awareness
and ignorance to knowing;
from foolishness to discretion and then, perhaps to wisdom;
from weakness to strength
or strength to weakness -
and often back again.
From health to sickness and back we pray to health again;
from loneliness to love,
from joy to gratitude, from pain to compassion,
and grief to understanding -
from fear to faith until,
looking backward or ahead,
we see that victory lies
not at some high place along the way,
but in having made the journey, a sacred pilgrimage.
Birth is a beginning and death a destination.
But life is a journey,
from birth to death......to life everlasting.!

A beautiful passage written by a dear friend, Sammy, for Grandpa Verne, a wonderful man, who recently passed away. Written with love and caring for my darling wife Janet who was utterly shattered by the loss of her father.

.....For you were once my love, back then
But then was then and now is now,
Life has flowed beneath this bridge
Paved our way and showed us how.
Through ups and downs, we counted cost
Depicting how we played our cards,
This fortitude and moral strength
A measure of.… how one regards,
My friend who shined as crystal gem
When hardship intervened, by chance
In offering her helping hand
In order to resume the dance.
And though the passing crowd moved on
and paused, perhaps to glance and stare,
She bent and warmly took my hand
And murmured, friend, I care, I care.
