because
to live
means
to love

I know it was the right decision,
Because one doesn't make
painful decisions lightly,
But ever since,
I have never quite been able
To sleep as well,
As when I did with someone
Lying beside me.
Even though I am almost two metres tall
And my feet hang out at the best of times.

This long distance is killing me most
because I can't see the look
on your face when we speak.
I want myself branded into your mind,
leaving specks of me
scattered across your eyelids when you close them--
like you've been staring at the sun for too long.
But instead I'm like an old book;
the pages starting to tear and your patience starting to wear.
The binding's falling apart at the seams.
You start to think it as burden and rip it to shreds,
burn it to dust.
When you close your eyes,
do you see the firelight dancing on your eyelids?
this is very old, but old poetry writing me is very adorable so I thought I'd share.

talking with this prettying girl,
we are just walking --
down this new york block, we just talking
pretty **** thing, high heels, white skirt - black stockings
nice eyes,
thick thighs,
amazing lips,
the perfect smile -- of all things.
she was a flirt ,
kept licking her lips,  as we were talking
but it was much to my delight - I'm not complaining
it was midnight,
in the middle of the park,
a fullmoon, so the scene is candle light dark
stars glistening off her eyes,
each touch of our lips, ended with a spark.
the taste of her lips, was my favorite part.
her skirt -- fitted so tight,
as I clung to her hips
the body contact, felt so electric
the attraction so strong,
pulling me in - like a magnet
she couldn't be more perfect
this night -- out of this world
we are on our own planet.

Hold me high enough to see

Over the troubles in my life.

For, I wish to know if the future is worth the wait.

you gave your heart, you gave your soul
all in the name of rock and roll
you sang of the pain that we all know
so many people hate to see you go

still growing are the seeds you sowed
a life lived fast, a song played slow
your tortured soul wasn't just for show
you'll live on, in my radio

all humans think they are the ******* ****
like we think elevated thoughts that trip across moonbeams
drift on clouds laced with estrogen and ******* sunshine
like we steer their course
when in reality
our elevation has nothing to do with the brevity of our infantile thought processes
that we believe are unique and something for others to wonder at
it's been ******* done before
someone already wrote a better poem about it, too.

don't stand on my shoulders and point out all the **** i can't see from down here
things unseen still exist
i'm not a tourist
in a poetic world you created
full of bleeding wrists and antidepressants
******* tell it how it is
don't elaborate
or don't
say anything

Day

Day
Life,
its sad.
All of us, living,
day by day,
until the day
we die.
alone one day.

Its like that,
from the very first day.
The second you take you first breath
your clock slowly starts ticking away.
Every beat a heart takes,
another second closer to that day.
We all come to this world screaming and cry,
most of us live our whole life the same way,
never taking in the moment - because it wont always be that way.
We are all so lost in our current pain,
we forget that it one day, it will all go away.
Precious are the moments,
as are the memories - in our hearts they replay.
