“beauty products”
were non-existent
where being
the fullest expression
of yourself
was beauty enough

imagine a world where
human beings were not
shamed for the size of their bellies
defined by their number of “followers”
or judged by the colour of their skin

imagine a world where
we simply accepted each other as
the beautifully imperfect beings
that we are

Sometimes I wonder
If thieves plunder
Just to be wanted
To be chased and haunted
For the alternative is worse
Unwanted is the true curse

Night sits on my chest
Squeezes poems out of me
And grinds my poor soul

isn’t it funny
my dreams and thoughts of you
have given me more
than you ever could

I miss his sunshine,
that summer gaze,
that left me in a constant haze.
I love him so dearly.
now.
and always.

I want to sit and talk,
about the glimmer of the stars,
And the tiny red mars.
But he’s as far away,
As every star ray.

He reminds me of snow.
So beautiful,
But so cold.

But after all,
Every winter needs a spring.
And every fall a winter.

So let us sway with the trees,
bloom with the flowers.
And forget the senseless hours.

Let your dreams run wild
with your eyes shut,
and a heart open wide
full of pride and nothing to hide.
