Kiss one:
And I’m left thinking,
“Have I found him?”
The one
Who can love this mess that I've become?
Have I found the one
Who can repair
This broken vase
I call
myself?
                                          No, it can’t be.
                                          He’s only drunk.
                                          There is no way.
                                          Not me.
                                          No.
                                          No.
Kiss two:
And I’m left thinking
"Was I wrong.
Was it not
Just the alcohol.
Have I found him.”

                                           Yes.
                                           I have.
                                           He can love me.
                                           He can.
He is the kind of man
                                           That can care for something
                                           So broken.
Cold December night:
I discovered
He was no man at all.
He was a boy
Who made a broken girl fall.
                                          Fall.
                                            Fall.
                                              Fall.

Until she hit the bottom.
And then buried her.
And her hope.
And her love.
6 feet under the ground.
Because he was a boy.
Who found it easier
To go back to what he knew
Than to try at something new.
So he buried
That broken girl.
6 feet under.
That cold,
Hard ground.

A mask is what you see
No one knows the real me
No not even I
No matter how I try
the rhymes can mask the pain
but i feel it everyday
trying to break its way
to the surface
and show that what you see
is not the real me
but a mask to cover up
the girl who is lost but,
the walls are holding strong
you cant hear her screams or song
sung painfully and slow
its depressing, i know,
but the truth is so  much worse
than the mask you see first
so keep that mask in mind
when finally breaks the ryhme
broken, fading
faster
loosing control
desiccating
darkness consumes
falling
gone.

She stands there
Fooling them with a smile
That they think is full of glee
When really
She can't wait to get out of here
and just fall
Into a deep deep slumber.

When she's sleeping,
She can't remember.
She forgets everything.

She forgets the taunts,
The torture,
The tears of blood
The screams
The demons....

She forgets them all when her eyes are closed.

But when she's awake,
the memories...
They hit her like a ton of bricks.

So sleep my angel...
For they can't hurt you there...

You don’t need to try so hard.
You can wear the clothes you want.
Do whatever you please,
Express yourself the way you know how.
You can wear those heels
Just because you love them.
Your true friends will accept you
And all your little quirks.
It’s time to let it go,
Let go of all your fears of judgement.
Stop caring what people think of you,
It’s none of your business anyways.
You are who are for a reason.
You’re crazy, eclectic,
A miss independent and a little rebellious.
You like to defy the norms of society
So why aren’t you doing it?
Let go of all those rules and make your own.
You’ve always stood for the outcasts,
Paving your own path,
Cutting the trees blocking your way.
Why care now about fitting in
When you’re a shining gem?
You were born to lead, to conquer.
This is your destiny, you’ve always worn
Your individuality just like a badge.
Don’t become submissive,
Stop looking for approval,
You won’t find it anywhere
But inside of yourself.
It’s the self-acceptance that comes first,
There’s no better friend than you.
Go on, look in the mirror.
Remember, you better like who you are,
That is the person you’ll be stuck with
For the rest of your life.
Enjoy all the strangeness,
All the weird parts of your personality.
There’s no refunds, no exchanges.
You are who you are and that
Is perfection; no matter what anyone says.
Accept who you are now,
Accept all the growth to come.
You can accomplish even your
Wildest dreams, those shooting stars.
It’s time to just be,
Time to stop leaning on societies
Ideals and march on out
With head held up high.
Self acceptance is all you need.

Measuring
What cannot be
Measured, Instead of holding
The true and the Treasured, each
Minute seems longer, and each
Second I ponder, how to make it
Mean more than my

She rises from the flames.
that is the story,
that she was broken and beaten
and yet
she rose.

I've heard it told so many ways,
the history of the dragon.
the truth is that her heart was eaten,
heat swallowed
by earth.

and yet
her eyes, her ache
she burned.
Not done yet
I lie in my bed
And listen to the rain
And wonder what silence will bring

I hope for the sun
I hope for a change
I hope for the colours to grow

I’m not one
Who will complain every time
The rain begins to fall

For without the rain
The flowers won’t grow
And the world would be dull and grey

It’s the same in our lives
If the bad times aren’t there
The happy ones lose all their charm

So embrace all the days
Where the sun doesn’t shine
And remember of the days that will come

Remember that
Without any rain
The flowers will cease to grow
what will the sunshine bring?
Hundreds of voices
All sounding at once
Streaming and swirling around

When stopping to hear
All of the sounds
Many conversations assult my ears

The girls on the corner
Are chatting away
Talking about someone else

The boys on their way
Glance back at the girls
Then discuss the way the look

Children are laughing
Dogs are barking
And cars are passing by

A lovely old couple
Sit on a bench
Reminiscing of how life used to be

The dust in the streets
Swirl by in clouds
Spreading around all the junk

As people go
Along through their days
These noises wait to be heard

But yet as you look
Throughout the noise
The wonder can be seen
