Beautiful
The word you said as you kissed my lips
You've repaired me
Helped me
Helped me love myself
When i could barely love another
Hugged me so tight the broken pieces fit together

Now you've ripped out the stitches you repaired me with
You've moved on without warning
The stitches you've reclaimed
being weaved into another's soul

Beautiful
that wonderful word carved from the Earth
the joyful word we all love
ruined forever
as you kiss another's lips.
Cheater
Betrayed
You've lost my love
Maybe that's what you were trying to do
All along...

When he tells you he never wanted to you from the beginning
do not try to change who you are
to fit his liking
he does not deserve you
and he never will
when he gives you the
“it is not you it is me”
tell him
“you are **** right
I am a goddess
and I need no peasant”
When he tells you
“I think we should stop talking”
allow yourself to feel the pain
of losing a friend
but to not allow yourself to mourn
the loss of someone
who does not matter
When he bangs
on the fragile door of your heart
and demands to be let out
Open it welcomingly
Do not beg him to stay
When he tells you
“you should probably hit the gym
more often you know you’ve been getting a little chubby”
Block your ears with love for yourself and leave him with joy
When he makes you feel
you are hard to love
understand that puddle walkers
will never appreciate
The greatness of an ocean
When you find out
he has been sharing his love
with another that is not you
realize he is wasting time
Playing with stars
when he has the moon
realize you are that moon
And you deserve
nothing less than the sun
When he fills the blank space
in your mind
tear that page out
and throw it away
After all, he was a simple rough draft.
Understand you hold galaxies
in you
that your mind
is a universe
far too complex for his simplicity
You will someday learn
that you deserve the love
of 1000 burning suns

One mere candle will not do.

Am I wrong for believing foolishly
My brain cells scream loudly to avoid poisonous thoughts such as you
I light the cigarette between my lips to taste your lips and every memory related to it
I take another puff of a fragment
Hell has never been so tempting

i have climbed endless mountains
all the while wanting you to show me
someone else would be willing to do
the same for me. foolish me for still clinging onto the thought of us. one day i hope you don't distance yourself so much and wake up and accept the love i know you deserve.
i no longer care to give you the love you deserve because you seem to have given up on me. foolish you for waiting for me at the other side of the mountain because traveling uphill i learned going back to your arms would be way more of a downhill battle than I could ever handle.
I was inspired to write this piece by a recent getaway to the great smoky mountains. Hope you enjoy **

Old Soul
I used to be a night person, until I knew
I would see you every morning. You are better
than my caffeine kick, to get me through the day.
The other day, I told you that I
loved night time. Puzzled,
you asked me why. Little did you know,
It is because in my dreams, I am
always with you. You called the day,
gorgeous, which made me jealous. For I
will never be as beautiful as the morning sun,
that you love so much.
