There in the closeness
A hairs breadth away seems a million light-years
The sweetest air fills lungs in hurried breaths
A quickened heartbeat drowns out the world
The mind twists and sways in thoughts that soon become a blur
Melded into emotion, into heat
And time stands still

Drawn like magnets to fill the gap
That electric blue spark lingers behind a gaze
Current runs high
Feeling the blood rushing through the smallest veins
Every cell electrified, every hair on end
The weakening of unwanted defenses
That moment the body and soul acquiesce
And time stands still

In the stroke of a cheek
The almost intangible sensation of gliding on smoke
Rising as the embers burn from within
And each breath fans the flames
Proximity feeds passion
As time stands still

The past, erased methodically, deliberately
For there is only this
This birthing of eternity
This moment when the tentative brushing of lips
Burns into soulful coalescence
This one reality
This moment
When time stands still

And if you haven't found a kiss like that, you're kissing the wrong one

***Okay my lovelies, I have gone through three different titles for this poem.  I don't think any of them quite fit.  I'm open to suggestions.  So far I have gone through
-in the warmth of a kiss
-as time stands still
-the birth of eternity
-if a kiss is just a kiss, you're doing it wrong

Please feel free to list any suggestions in the comments or in a message

I want to explore the sensual map that is your body,
My hands and mouth the tools of discovery,
Caressing, licking your precious land,
Until your sighs become moans

A network of nerve endings,
Electrified
Mapping your ecstasy
Until you're aglow

A body erupting with passion,
A land erupting volcanically,
Molten magma flowing,
Scorching euphoria

darling iridescence
I paint on canvas but
baby can you paint me
with your tongue?

Your body is hard to the touch
but easy on the eyes.
I'm a *** slave in disguise, you don't
owe me anything more than your
throbbing companion.
Fed explanations filled with thrusts,
moans and scratches,
Resolutions created through the exhale
of your sleeping body.
I'm no more than a cage to poke your stick into and you want me to bite you out of frustration.
I'm reminded of my role: lay down. Shut up. Don't look at you. Take it. Roll over. Take it. Take it. Take it.
A drunken sigh of satisfaction sneaks out through your lips as if it was trying not to wake your tongue,
as any disturbance will cause my body to surrender to you, against any will I have left.
The desire to be the one you surrender to is slowly passing.
Because with each breath I hold, I find myself still gasping for air.

I am surrounded
by a **** accent here,
rare beauty
in a flowered blouse
& holey blue jeans.
Her explosive
radiant-eyes
invite me in.
I trace her outline
in my mind,
thinking about
good clean sin,
stay seated
grinning
& discussing
just the weather.

buttons were undone
zippers were sliding down
clothes were falling to the floor
eyes shining with desire
breaths coming out harshly
hearts fluttering

We'll stroll one day
Down a country lane,
Palms together, flesh to flesh,
Stopping to kiss
In sunshine-dappled glades.
My hawthorne hero, holding me
against you as we gaze,
Stopping to laze
Upon each other,
Drunk on heat and sweat and summer ***,
The scents of oh, everything, including us
And we are all.
Giddily, we'll fall
Together. I will know
What it is to lie with you and laugh,
******* happiness in warm spurts
As you take me in your arms,
Fondling your possession
Finding me forever willing
Following me, fascinated, into the hot, hot
Summer of our lives.

Woke up late this morning
Wish the pain would pass
Cigarettes in the ashtray
lipstick on the glass

What in god's name happened
what did I do last night
Everything is fuzzy
It hurts to see the light

Hold that thought, I'll be right back
That's the last thing that I said
Now, here I am next morning
Feeling half past dead
Hold that thought, were my last words
From there ....I just don't know
Someone brought me home here
But, someone...I don't know

Cigarettes and lipstick
The pairing makes me think
A half a pack of winstons
And a nearly empty drink

I   am not a smoker
I  smoke what's close at hand
Right now, I'm feeling sea sick
And I'm still here on dry land

Hold that thought, I'll be right back
That's the last thing that I said
Now, here I am next morning
Feeling half past dead
Hold that thought, were my last words
From there ....I just don't know
Someone brought me home here
But, someone...I don't know

I'm gonna take a shower
Maybe that will help my head
I just don't know what happened
Or who brought me home to bed

A glass with lipstick on it
My cigarettes or not
The last thing I remember
is saying Hold That Thought

Hold that thought, I'll be right back
That's the last thing that I said
Now, here I am next morning
Feeling half past dead
Hold that thought, were my last words
From there ....I just don't know
Someone brought me home here
But, someone...I don't know

She's dancing in her skin tight jeans
Little boots with little tassles
When in the bar another comes
And you just know they're gonna wrassle
Hair all up, and dressed the same
I mean, these two could be twins
You know that fur is gonna fly
There'll be someone slappin' skin

There's rules in bars
At times like this
The most important one I'll mention
Is get the bartenders eye just when
You can feel the building tension
The bartender's job is now
Not serving drinks to you
So when you know a fight is on
You'd better order two
That my friend is my advice
I give it to you free
But, when I am out and it is on
I make sure I get three

Bubba's had just one too many
And you know he's gonna blow
It doesn't matter what you say
He's right and you don't know
Just grab a seat and hold on tight
And bud, take my advice
Before the bartender leaves the bar
You'd better order twice

Dancing close is always good
It doesn't do no harm
Except when the one you're dancing with
Came on another's arm
You'd better get your order in
Because, the fists are gonna fly
And you'll be waiting for a while
Before another you can buy

There's rules in bars
At times like this
The most important one I'll mention
Is get the bartenders eye just when
You can feel the building tension
The bartender's job is now
Not serving drinks to you
So when you know a fight is on

That my friend is my advice

But, when I am out and it is on

Ah, the swoosh
of your dress
gliding off you,
finding the floor!

It pools black
and elegant
at my feet,
an entrancing
****** puddle.

But I
cannot look.

Nothing between
us now but
silk and flesh,
my hands
and fingers
have become
the only eyes
I have,
the only eyes
I need.

Your soft
yielding skin
offers
all the seeing
and knowing
they crave.

Love,
let them
look closely
and discover
the delicious
details
of the world
you are.

This seeing
transforms lust
into magic,
makes
a ceremony
of desire.

It can lift us
off the earth.

Soar with me.

Touch me
like the sound
of that black dress,
falling.

What more
is necessary?

I admit, I have a thing about dresses...

Most of all. it's the truculent desire hardly shielded,
creating whirlwind, shaking the woods of my mind,
then insistent fingers in an ****** day dream, touch
intimately to arouse my hood, those  robust waves
inch forward to my shores, I shudder, again and again,
like a sea swell, in an intense want, we are engorged,
a mania for the moon, slouching behind the clouds,
your eyes had always spoken gently, yet brewed storms.

I sense a wish that yearns culmination in my invasion,
full luscious red lips, smeared with the spices  of amour,
their own symbolism eloquent, as wet they are, whispering yes, yes
coal black eyes can't hide the eagerness, they peer,
your body, now so tender has a tremor, anticipating my touch,
you are ready for a journey together, to the far deeper ends
an impatient waterway, aren't you, awaiting my row boat,
for a fervorous exploration together, through the watery canals
Temperature rising high,
body's clammy upon touch,
all from your eye contact,
it all feels so much,

You walk towards me,
my legs turn to jelly,
you whisper of pleasure,
a lit fire in my belly,

Finally alone we lay,
i caress your manliness,
tongue trickling 'o' my *******,
feeling pure bliss,

My body shaking with ecstasy,
wanting, needing, waiting,
your hardness pushing against me,
I taste your stiff being,

Holding back the urge of explosion,
you enter my warm, creamy secret,
sliding, teasing, thrusting,
our bodies shake as we feel it,

Tipping to the top,
Don't stop 'please' don't stop,
rushing, burning, throbbing,
warm, wet, oh so hot.
