I left my tidy home
For several weeks alone;
When nature interloped.
It was invaded,
Raided.
Droppings,
Breedings;
Laying siege
To my larder.
They'd been waiting
For the moment
Of conjugal entropy.
All they smelled
Was theirs
In dark and quiet.

But who turned on
The flat screen;
Made a cup of tea?
Sat with seeds
And left a pile
In front of my T.V.
Not mice,
But
Entropic progeny.
Sometimes

       All of this

           Sanity

   Just makes

I would show them their seats
Each had there own, painted faces
I would greet,
Sir,
Madam,
Sit
Upon the table surrounded by friends
But too quiet as they sit still
"No movement"
Temper flares
"You are dead to me"
As I throw them out,
"I relinquish these friendships"
Bodies now burn on a cremation of death,
"I am better without you all"
New friends to meet, to keep,
As  I speak to many in the following weeks
"Would you like to be my friend"
"Why not ye"
"You seem like a  nice bloke"
sealed is there fate with but one word
YES
They wake up my friends of solitude
In rooms kept safe
For each will sit at my table,
I am there only friend needed
"Till we must part"
They should know the rules
As another bonfire of the forgotten will
Light up the night, departed friends
"Missed so much"
Sit,
Smile,
Friends
In chains, some cry with joy
One screams obscenities,
"Pardon"
"What"
Silence
Follows, as all around now smile
He will sit again painted face in silence,
They compliment my food,
I don't like the look one gives,
"a silent one"
"Now never breathes again"
The quiet ones consume
Till the last,
Bleeding upon the floor
Tears stream
She says quietly,
"Burn in hell"
Then face plants the food, I worked
My fingers to the bone,
"No respect"
I don't waste time
Silence is a killer among friends
So the bonfire burns
Bodies now burn on a cremation of death,
So many friends lost to silence,
"Will this struggle ever end"
"NO"
Third time lucky,
I will never be alone like before,
I will **** to have the perfect friends
**"HI WOULD YOU LIKE TO BE MY FRIEND Y!!!!!"

I was standing in the aisle at Bulk Barn
I was low on neutrinos and looking to stock up
I like to sprinkle them on my cereal in the morning

I made my way down the aisle and found the anti-photons
If you like your coffee black and not sweet
Then this is almost as good as other alternatives

My electron supply was fine
But I thought I'd get some anyway
Just for the ion-y

I don't understand the economics but I guess
The invisible hand does
When the clerk looked in my basket
She just waved me through
Working my way out of ionic *******, lol

On his mighty mountain
Jove reigned with his queen
Never questioned
Never held in check
Such riches never seen!

With mount Olympus as his home
Far above the throng
He could do just as he pleased
No, he was never wrong!

Then a fair nymph maiden
Caught Jove's roving eye
Hera was out shopping
He saw the maid go by...

Making his advances
He found that he was spurned!
No matter how he postured
Her head was never turned!

"Oh Jupiter!" She laughed aloud
"You bloated moon, you knave!
I'd rather love a he-goat
For all the gifts you gave!

You have no tact. No honor.
You plurocratic fool!
You pick your teeth with
Poor men's bones
Using wealth as tool!

Go on then! Arrest me!
Force me... if you dare...
But I know Hera's servants
The one's who do her hair!"

Jupiter was stymied
He knew just what this meant.
Hera'd throw a fit for sure!
So he had to relent.

But he cursed the nymph-maid
With great poverty.
But dissing him was such a joy

She'd do the same for FREE!

The evening spotlights
Shine on the walls
Of David's ancient abbey.

Raised by Border people
And peasant Picts.

Shadows and silhouettes
Fill thresholds that once
Let light and glory in.

Foundation walls protect
Winds still whispering
In Gothic naves.
A thousand years' stories
Are sounded in her bells.

Night surrounds Jedburgh Abbey.

I strained my sight for movement
Of Augustinians who thrived
In cloisters and walled streets
For a story to bring home
Of a phantom cloak or hood
Disappearing on ramparts
Or passing an empty window.
Just a sound, or simple wail
Would do.

Just then, dark legs
Swooshed past me,
Fitted in knee-high boots.
I lost my thoughts
Of ghosts and sprites
With an astral figure in tights.
The abbey is on the border of Scotland and England.

we were deeply in love
my new girlfriend and I
and we sat under the trees
in the open fields in the starlight
and she whispered to me:
"Will things ever change?"
And I whispered back, as I nibbled at her ears:
"Nothing will ever change, sweetheart"

Then she got pregnant
and everything changed

I changed my address, my work
my phone number and my email address
my routine and my weekend haunts -
*everything changed

to tell you a secret
where my eyes roamed
while in the forest
where my eyes homed

if I can tell you without fear
and the secret you don’t take far
it was not the wild deer
my eyes were seeing her

to tell you a secret
what my lens caught
while in the forest
what pictures it got

if I can tell you without shame
and you rightly guess the answer
it was not following any game
but kept on catching her!

one llucy
I heard this all from the grapevine,
curiosity killed the cat…
so… seems unlikely that my dog killed your chickens
just give the poor dog a bone
it's pretty much genetics
all that nature versus nurture
even he makes mistakes…
let's let boys be boys
bygones be bygones
you should always love your neighbor
I know you eat chicken too
we can't be having the *** calling all the kettles black
you know what they say?
If you can't beat 'em,
                                          join 'em.
My dog killed all my neighbors chickens…. not a good way to make new friends.

so King Lion
summoned us for a meeting
and King sat on his throne
and before he started
the King looked in my direction
and he roared:
"Hyena - don't you dare laugh;
here in Council what we deliberate over
is no laughing matter"

And I ****** in my pants
(in a manner of speaking)
and sat throughout the meeting
trembling in fear, as it seemed
to the King -
but also because I had to keep
my suppressed laughter
rocking in my tummy
throughout the meeting
final in my current series of hyena poems...
