Life’s not an instant gratification
A tedious and rewarding journey it is
Patience is the key to learning
Life, the teacher, which shows the way
Everyday a new chapter, a different lesson
In humility, kindness, compassion and gratitude
With patience, it is an enriching experience
Hold on to life’s hand, trust a rewarding journey

I don't seek your permission...
To write about the what, why and how.
It could be a haiku or come in the shape of a cow.

I don't need your approval...
When I don't sound the least bit poetic...
In my mismatched metaphors or ill-rhymed acrostic.

I'm not asking for your blessing...
When I pen down and put up what I think...
Be it in cloying cliches or in tear drenched ink.

I don't crave for your understanding...
When my 10 word poems weren't filtered through your poetic lens,
Or if my contributions in collaborations lack in sense.

I don't hope for your likes...
If my content does not tickle your fancy,
Or if my words just rubs you silly.

I mean no disrespect...
But don't be too quick to click on the 'comment' button.
Private messaging has been put there for a reason.

I don't mean to cramp your style...*
You're entitled to your own opinions of course...
But if you've got nothing good to say, please save it and shove it up yours.
.
This is a peaceful community, almost sacred to many. All bearing a heart (hale or ailing) are welcome to spill their ink... Regardless of writing experience or poetic prowess.

Bear in mind that people write for various reasons. Some are really good at it, some are just barely starting. Some ask for feedback, some just want an outlet.

So... Be nice. Use the private messaging feature if you really need to offload your thoughts on another's text offering.

Respect and be respected.

You're never as brave
As you think you are.
Not until you wear your
Courage like a permanent scar.
Don't forget the impossible
Is never really that far
And dreams can be reached
By wishing on a shooting star.
You can only be as brave
As you
 believe *you are.
For a friend dealing with some stress, I'm here for you. Always. ❤

back and forth it goes
my mind is doing that **** again
you know, when you avoid difficult decisions but they come back to haunt you and so you lay awake in the dark listening to anything and everything to shut it off

it's unavoidable
the brain will taunt you

so you start to talk to yourself in attempt to find some sort of reason
a reason for all the struggles and all the pain,
the very same storm that sends the flooding rain
Soon enough you're drowning and at this point it's sink or swim;
barely holding your head above water you're praying to be rescued and it's then you realize life's a game

that even if you're pulled ashore
you'll be back in that **** water
and laying in the dark again.

taken aback for a fool
how silly of me to dream
to wear my hard work
right upon my sleeve

as i watch it feather to dust
the envision of trust

isn't always as it seems

... that Love is the most
difficult aspect of LIFE.

Though it is only a portion
of the whole, it is the part which

most makes or breaks you.

There he goes
the Democrat's fool
the Republican's stooge
a New Order tool

He thinks his candidate
tells the truth
He's heading for the
voting booth

There she goes
those lies are glib
her female hero
promotes Woman's Lib!

For corporate governance
they're all in
They got that
Jolly Roger Grin!

There they stand
The brave Senators
The political nightmare
Dogs and curs

You're out of work
and in a jam?
Just email your
Congressman!

As far as our
Fearless Leaders go
they're no better
they're politicos

For corporate governance
they're all in
They got that
Jolly Roger Grin!

At the end of our rope
we choke and dance
but we keep our
political stance

We listen to their
clever quips
kissing babies
with rotting lips

But they are poisoning
the water we drink
the air we breathe
C'mon folks!
THINK!

We have power!
We have might!
We gotta think!
We gotta fight!

The Constitution's
eroding away!
The Bill of rights?
Ha! Gone today.

In the end
We could WIN!
There's 99 of US to only

ONE OF THEM

For corporate governance
they're all in
They got that
Jolly Roger Grin

Truth holds many faces, like how fractured mirror show multiplicity.

I say this in a review in WC before:

“I believed that truth varies in the complexity of right and wrong depending on our beliefs, culture & tradition, principles and values. So knowing to find balance between all this, you’ll never get lost upon looking into yourself. Finding the courage and strength within – is acceptance and understanding everything of who you are.”

This is the here and now
Dog eat dog push and shove
Get out of my way
Its my way or the highway!

Too bad if you no like it fella
Pow zoom to the moon Alice!
Jealous?

I will **** your **** up cries the illiterate fool
Steal from me? It's ok I forgive karma is the law for the thieving pig!

I'm third eye open rise above it all
I laugh at it all

Been run over by fast motorcylcles
Poisened to death busted up jailed
Beaten cheated by creeps

Disowned by family
Tossed in the streets
Deception in USA
More than one can say

Avoid propaganda
Miranda rights?
We all are in the same boat
The great escape awaits us all
Headed for a humpty dumpty fall

Wall street crash smash and grab that cash
Get shot get stabbed in a crowd alone
Welcome to the xenophobic new war zone

I was one too.
Taking pleasure in pains of the
Past; addicted nearly, to the
Pity and attention
Of others.

Now I keep it locked away.
Private pearls of an adventure life,
Wounds long healed;
Faded scars. My smiles now deserved.
I wish the same contentment

To all those others, the
Happy unhappy. Who can only
Recognize themselves
In broken
Mirrors.
