Your spirit has the smell of earth,
kissed by first rain,
effervescent with scent of promise,
Your spirit has the smell of the sea shore,
the breeze, sweet with the salty spray of power.
Your spirit has the smell of the mountain side, grassy meadow wild with fragrance of untame flowers
Your spirit has the smell of a monastery, mystic camphor serene thoughts of living.
Your spirit has the smell of the battle,
blood, gore, flesh and fight
Your spirit has the smell of a maiden
out from her scented bath,
sensual, drip dripping
Your spirit has the smell of forest,
wild sweaty, hot and humid.
Your spirit has the scent so honest,
of love pure tho rugged and rough

This veneer of civilization
So vexatious in its impression.

Words adroit, adept, artificial,
So artful is the communication.

Gestures gentle soft, controlled,
So measured is the emotion

Visage serene, cool, pliant
So unfazed is the digression.

Eyes moist, weary, weathered,
Yet sensible is the suppression.

Thoughts random running havoc,
Yet accepted is the discretion.

Emotions roiling seething simmering
Yet artificial is the expression.

This veneer of civilization
Such progressive regression

That elusive thought
Danced merrily away
Into the recesses of its play

Mocking me with its glee
Prancing away without regret
Giving me no reprieve and stay

Soul searing, mind wearing
As my mind meanders
And limps through the fray

Across landscaped extravaganza
And deep inner turmoils
The demons do come up to prey

I plod on undeterred in my path
That wayward thought demon
I encounter, confront and slay!!

Cloudless and bright your visage
Your raven strands blow across it.
The gentle rise and ebb of your breath.
I gaze at you, asleep in pristine beauty.

The waves that lap the silver sands
Of shore bathed in pure beams of the moon,
Echoes of the sirens of the tired ships
for mooring to rest, from  their trips.

Hours pass over me, yet undeterred.
My eyes never content, longing more.
Calls out to your heart with silent gaze,
Waves of love, again, again and again.

As light on rippleless water
Flashes a smile on your lips
A flutter a flash of your eyelids.
Perhaps dream of me, you did.

Slumber evades my being
Captive it never is mine
As often as I sit a gazing
Your beauty in sleep divine.

Tis past midnight and all alone
Where's comradeship and love??
A world that's gone to sleep
Has no room for a lonely soul
The sounds of snores around
But none , to ease your qualms.

Laugh and the world laughs with you
Cry and you cry all alone
what you lost none other has
What you missed,has none other
Your pains are yours alone
Your gains many to share
Your sorrows you alone to bear

No shoulder to call your own
Laughing faces many all day
But none the kinship of pain
All with you when smiles abound
None when heartaches sear
Laugh and the world laughs with you
Cry and you cry all alone.

Once they laughed with you
Now sleeping still and sound
Their means to life, have found.
But you all lost and stiff
Oh Chardonnay and spice
My comrades for life
My pains you understand

Love is a cheat untrue
There's nothing more uncouth
It's just a word for fools
No grain of truth no proof
None cares no one tears.

None's there's a waiting for you
No supper warm, no hearth
All alone you are, you are
Come home to me myself

You thought love's a great word
But living is only by bread
Love fills not the stomach
What fills does matter, nothing else!!

Don't laugh don't cry just live
She was not not yours, not yours never!
Naught can change the course, survival
Bread and water, no butter no jam.

Laugh and the world laughs with you
Cry and you cry as you do!!
Tis past midnight and you all alone
That's your life and you live it as you do.

Valsa George
In dazzled astonishment
She looked up from her reverie
As she heard the flap of wings overhead
And saw the flash of laser beams in her dim lit room
Before her, stood a winged seraph
A radiant silhouette with such gentleness and grace
As never beholden on any human face
With its hands raised in benediction,
It saluted Mary and said
“Blessed art thou amongst women…
……………………………………
The rest she heard in a trance.
Unable to comprehend what was said,
The girl looked up nonplussed.
Again it said, “The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee
And a son shall be born of thee
Whom you shall call Jesus”

In that nanosecond of a new revelation
Did Mary’s world shatter like glassware
Or did her ****** womb thrill with new life
Did she swim in the waters of joyful tidings?
Or gyrate in the sweeping swirl of tidal waves

For the girl already espoused to a man
In whose dreams his comely form had begun
Flitting in and out
Was it a moment of silent ravishment?
Or of stupefied bewilderment
Did a dagger cut through her heart?
Or did her soul take wing in flight???
This is Christmas time. This poem is an exploration of Annunciation by Gabriel to Mary from an average man's perspective.

A chariot is thine heart,
O thou rich tressed Selene
In which doth ride the tides,
of ardor, tepid aflame.

Strung to thy chariot by chords
Unseen yet tangible knot,
Whither thy chariot wandereth,
Thither draggeth me, constrained.

The chord unseen, yet bindeth,
Ethereal, tenuous sublime,
A barb so dolorous in seasons!
Other times candescent delight.

What causeth this bond precision?
Nay no reasonable cause,
Entrapped in each a residue
from prior existence unknown?

Why doth the string pull so constant,
Tho' intervenes a thousand miles!
Why cometh thine chariot  instant,
When unseen, my spirits' downcast?

Selene! ageless,deathless, thy Endymion,
Eternal though his sleep,
Our souls entwined forever,
Many an aeon shall we keep!!!
