As sure as David wrote some Psalms
As sure as babies have to yawn
As sure as sunlight keeps us warm
You are my rainbow in the storm!

As sure as stars shed twinkling light
As sure as day follows the night
As sure as wrong opposes right
You've given me the strength to fight!

As sure as leaves fall down from trees
As sure as skies are blue as seas
As sure as Jesus set us free
You'll always have a friend in me!

As sure as flowers bloom in Spring
As sure as angels have to sing
As sure as Jesus is the King
You have given my soul wings!

As sure as reeds bow down and bend
As sure as Tempests have to end
As sure as Trails wind and wend
You'll always have a Praying friend!

As sure as leaves fall down from trees
As sure as Saints pray on their knees
As sure as Jesus set us free
You'll always have a friend in me.

I sent this poem to Daystar television network. They've always been very faithful to pray for me. But it could apply just as easily to Hello Poetry! You really are a wonderful group of people! Thank you!

Sitting on my porch in the early morning
An Inca dove flew to a ledge where
A succulent had just been watered.
She sipped from the edge of the ***,
Cocking an eye at me occasionally.
After she'd had her fill, she didn't fly away,
But looked at me with curiosity.
What a cumbersome ugly creature she probably thought... large. Pale. Bound to the ground like a stone...

But why do we antromorphize the thoughts of wild things? Who knows their
Minds? Only God.

But I like to think that I had a connection with that Inca dove. She didn't fly away for a long time. But peered at me with such a lively interest. She wasn't even afraid as I got up to go back inside. Brave and beautiful are the untamed. Many would say God gave me a chance to look at her.
I'd say God gave her a chance to look at me.

Remove the gospel from the schools and tear down the crosses from the public cathedral's. Change the law to make the bible hate speech and shut the churches down. The blood of Calvary still flows from the cross. The forgiveness of God has not been lost. Try as the world might, this is a fight they cannot win. For all power in heaven and earth was given to Gods perfect lamb.

I arise in the morning
to a soft gentle dawn
All to worship and praise You
and to sing a new song
The leaves lightly play
in the soft summer breeze
And the birds are awaking
in Your beautiful trees

All creation is stirring,
and the darkness has passed
I gaze up at the sky so blue and so vast
I gaze up in wonder
at Your pink rolling hills
And I feel Your presence
and ask for Your will

The sun rises up in the palm of Your hand
And the light chases darkness
from the face of the land
I look 'round in great awe
and ask myself why?
Oh why would You do this
for a wretch such as i?

Clouds scuddle over
the skies where You bid
And the fish in the water
Go beneath and are hid
Vastly great is Your wisdom
so in part do we see...

I'll arise in the morning
You've given to me.

It's a beautiful morning here in Tucson. I love the dawn here in the springtime. The clouds are touched by gentle brushes of lavender, peach and light fuchsia.
The hills here roll like purple waves on a deep pond. As if it's been disturbed by angels.

God is SO good!

I'm going to be very busy this morning. There's a lot of work to be done in the house. I'm sure you know housework is an endless story told by a hausfrau who has a rather sadistic streak... I hate it! But it must be done.

Have a beautiful day! I hope this poem blesses your heart!

Sequestered
Once this breath,
Existence gasps to grasp;
When wrath is wrought with wreath,
And fate, life bequeaths
Unyielding hasp;
Upon all, death's arms shall clasp.

Beyond bounds…
Colours, creeds and cultures,
Death's assured end shouldn’t be forgotten;
All’s bestowed ‘same measure,
Once birth is begotten.

Lust...
Carnally minded,
Screams chaos,
Seeks selfish pleasure...
Never reliable.

Love...
Spiritually minded,
Whispers calm,
Seek another's pleasure...
Forever faithful.
LUST vs LOVE (20 words maximum)

Sequestered
Like boundless estranged snowflakes,
You breathed your cruel boisterous blizzard;
Freezing every warmth ever woven in me
From crystal sunrays into numbness.

Those streams to the altar of my heart,
Your bitter and biting pathways left frozen;
Forgotten as frigid and rigid for all eternity,
Entombed beyond salvation’s arms...

But one fortunate mistake you made;
Leaving that tiniest of crack within my depth,
To embrace that faintest strand of crystal ray
That began my journey to warmth again.

As the daystar crowns a new horizon, Night's silence is sundered and Light's symphony rings.
Divine rays colour the low-lying clouds a veritable plethora of hues, both bright and subtle. Cottonwool-spun gems are arrayed, layered and drifting about on the morning wind.
Heaven shows itself in the sky.
They have no need for make-up.
They have no use for a new hairstyle,
and certainly don't need to colour their hair.
For they are full of brilliant colour.
Everywhere.
Beautiful flowers.

They do not need fancy clothes in the latest fashions
to feel good about themselves.
They feel no need to impress.
Yet, look at how pretty they are dressed!
Touch their soft, lovely petals.
Beautiful flowers.

Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of them,
the Bible says.
Beautiful flowers.

Oh, that I could be like them!
With no need to impress.
Knowing I am wonderfully made by God.
Oh, that I could see myself
as a beautiful flower.

Might there be a fountain
where souls long dead from thirst
find spirits raised to life in floods abounding free,
so that what once walked as corpse,
night-bound and blind, may see?
Old self exchanged for Treasure,
diving in tastes such rejuvenation
as can't be weighed by mortal measure—
wine unlike our earth-grown fruit whose petals fall,
from this Vine flowers the pleasantness of Love Divine
which bathes in healing waters all
who come as humble newborn with bold **** to dine.
"Jesus answered, 'Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.'"  John 4:13-14

"Then Jesus declared, 'I am the bread of life. He who comes to Me will never go hungry, and he who believes in Me will never be thirsty.'"  John 6:35

"On the last and greatest day of the Feast, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, 'If anyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink. Whoever believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, streams of living water will flow from within him.'"  John 7:37-38

"'I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in Me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from Me you can do nothing.'"  John 15:5

When I give a glass of water to some who thirst, let the glory be God's. When I sew a seed of hope, let the glory be God's. When I answer a friends call for help in the midnight hour, let the glory be God's. In all things that I do that are worthy of honor and praise, let the glory be God's.
We are called to be the hands and feet of God to do his will upon the earth as best as we can given our human frailties. Let the glory be his always.
