 Sep 2018 beautiful tragedy
Bella
Black and white.
What’s the difference?
One is darker? Lighter?
One looks deep, the other looks pure?
I see nothing.

Male and female.
What’s the difference?
One is smaller? Bigger?
One is more shy? More outspoken?
There, again! Do you see it?

14 and 18.
What now?
One is greater? The other smaller?
Both are even, what is wrong?
What you are is wrong.
This poem is about love. My parents are Christian and they always told me that if you are gay then you will go to hell. If you love someone much older or younger then you will burn. If a white woman marries a black man, or vise versa, you will die in hell. Well, I say they are wrong. Therefore, I am no longer the Christian baby girl my parents “raised” me to be. Simply, I am me. I have decided love is love. No matter what kind of love it is.
I wonder if there's love after life

If nights of music and manic love
Lives on after we die

Or if it all just stops
If our love discontinues
If our beautiful bodys
And empowered existences
Get swept away into oblivion

Last night You asked me why I am so afraid to lose you

I'm afraid to lose you because
You are the reason why
I am afraid to die
I'm useless
I'm ugly
But he still loves me.

I hurt him
Because of my own insecurities
But he still loves me.

I'm fat
Have many flaws
But he still loves me.

I'm broken
Been hurt a lot
But he still loves me.

I'm tired
Of pretty much everything
But he still loves me.

I've given up
On many things
But he won't give up on me

He still loves me

When I say
Stupid things
He still loves me

When I act a fool
He still loves me

When I'm being a dork
He still loves me

When I cry
For small things
He still loves me

When I sing
Way off key
He still tells me
It's beautiful

He still loves me

He still loves me

And I will always love him.
For him
Just know...
He’s had lives & loves before you
Remember that when the bricklayer or the mechanic
Asks for your hand
You’ll receive one flower
Instead of a dozen roses
Picked on his way home
Handwritten notes in your shoes
Instead of Hallmark greetings
Elaborate dinners cooked by him
Where he said he’d clean
Afterwards
But didn’t
Spur of the moment
Road trips
Instead of planned vacations
The opening of windows
For the springtime thunderstorms
Listening to the beat of his heart
While the rain drops
Drip
Drip
I
N
T
O
The drain
He’ll write you with jazz playing
Wine in his bottle
Records in his head
Absorbing you into his world
And if he dies before you
And you bury him
And you mourn over him
Lasting for years
Remember his flower
His notes written just for you
And if you see his ghost
Haunting you
Then the Poet
Has fallen forever for
...You...
You say you want to be with me,
Give me a better life to see.
Then why do you push me away,
Teating me like a bored option for the day.

I fell like I'm a hobby to you,
Just a game to play on through.
Maybe just something on the side,
To boost you ego and pride.

Your in a relationship and committed,
And I still try my best I admit it.
Well i can't help my heart chose to,
So it wont change no matter what you do.

Push and attack, ignore or stab to bleed.
It just hurts but i wont leave.
So here I am,its for you to decide whether,
my heart you will torture or pleasure.

But why am I giving away me,
When you share you with another being?
What am i to you? why cant you say it?
Do you feel the same, or are you hiding the feelings?
