Amitav Radiance
left the soul deserted
a gamble didn't pay off
losing the heart to love again

In the frost garbed winter all I could notice was her
While delicately she let the tea fall into the cup
Her spell binding beauty magically won me over

Roaring oceans in her eyes
The sun bathes in them to
Birth dawns to embellish her skies
I noticed over the cup of tea

Spring sprouted alive in her smile
Fuchsia gave away on her cheeks
She tames seasons in her own style
I noticed over another cup of tea

Winds matted her hair with wild lilies
Her every step like favours on carpeted heavens
She commanded every breath in the stone alleys
I noticed over the cups of tea*....
I guess tea is not a bad idea !!

Zainab Attari
The blaze of the sun cut through their flesh
Sun kissed sweaty skin and dehydrated lungs

Knelled and cried for mercy
The heavens answered their prayers

Loud thuds were heard like a roaring lion
Lightning struck like a shooting star

Their quench was put off
Soil's aroma spread; it rained.
Although I am not a lover of rains, but I am still very grateful for the rains today! Since morning it has been pouring and it has turned my warm walls and the hot air outside cold and blissful! So this is me, giving thanks to Allah for the showers of blessings. The heat was killing everybody in Mumbai! Okay, that is about how much good I can say about the rains.
To the rain fans – have an amazing time playing football in the muck and getting wet in the rains! Stay safe, don’t catch a cold :) Do share with me your experience in the rains and your take on it.
P.S. My first try at a fifty words poetry.

Nick Oh
Every day for an eternity, the Moon misses the Sun
He never sees her, forever on the run.
At the break of dawn, he tries to catch her
Horizon yonder, he just misses her.

In his dreams,
He gazes at her, crowned in golden rays.
He holds her, so warm in his embrace.
He listens to her, the melody of nature.
He kisses her, the sweet taste of nectar.

He wakes up to her halcyon wisps of light,
And loses sight of her to the darkness of the night.
But in their loneliness and solitude
There is one thing that will bring them fortitude.

Patience and love will bring them together
Even the Sun and Moon will meet each other.
No matter how long it may be
An eclipse will happen, eventually.

The day that I see you again
Will be our eclipse.
Together we will remain,
A promise we seal with our lips.

Every day for an eternity,
   I will think of you
   I will care for you
I will be by your side
   I will protect you

Every day for an eternity.
Every day, for an eternity.
I wrote this while she's away in Europe from me. I miss her so much and it frustrates me sometimes that I can't be with her.

अमावस

1.

Moonless**

1.

I asked for all the time, just with you,
and nothing more, but your hands in mine.

Both may never meet, however,
the dark moonless night, longed for her Moon, in loneliness.

2.

The day turned into a lovely evening (yesterday),
and the moon looked young in his brightness.

Gently faded the evening twilight (today),
and the night was suddenly moonless.

The sky got covered with dark gloomy clouds
and the night smiled in her darkness.

Perhaps, the moon fell asleep in the arms of his beloved,
lost in love and happiness.
