Sajid
He woke up in the morning as usual
He hated tying up stuff
He went for breakfast that he never did unusual
He ate some bread and cheese stuffed!

His daughter came running to him
Hey dad ,"wazzup" she called
She wanted him to tie her hair
As mom was at the mall

He tied' her hair any how
To escape from the hatred ,
She got up and realised he had to tie' his shoes
And after that she came again for her soes to be tied..
He did it all....
For what could he do he did it all along...

As he walked out of the house the lock was a lace
He had to tie it for the door to open in pace
Odd he felt but in a rush he was
He did it any how and walked up to his car
He saw a tied knot on the car and the grass beneath was tied......
He started going mad after all and just kept on opening all the ties......
His hands were soaked in blood as he was tearing the ties not opening them......
He pulled the laces and red liquid came frm them all...
From the car from the soil from the concrete road...
Eveything that came in his way he pulled all the ties apart.

A loud thud on the street ,
he was hit by a car..
.. His eyes were closing.

He opened his eyes...
Heavy breathing,
He was zonked and all was a dream,
He saw his hand they were red.... all around was red
There was lots of hair on the ground
His daugher ,bald on the floor
Her head covered in red..

~

where clear blue sky meets water's deep
his sunbeams reach her waves to tease,
to warm her currents, foaming spray;
dawn to dusk when daylight fades,
till only afterglow remains,
an interlude of celestial stage.

he speaks to her on written sky
and in the mournful sea-bird's cry,
wraps sultry ribbons in her tresses,
his fingers linger in caresses,
and in soothing choreography
he gently stirs her ocean's breeze.

he sends her gifts of palm and dates,
wrapped on waves in salty sprays;
watches her with much delight,
he sings to her each eventide,
love songs with the calling gull,
and rocks her tween the gusts and lulls.

wedded at horizon’s edge,
devotion to her he has pledged,
to have forever and to hold,
his comfort to her storm-tossed soul;
his tender kiss on tear-stained cheek,
where clear blue sky meets water's deep.

post script.

when one gazes
into the vastness
of sea and sky,
of what is from
height to depth
an endless blue,
one cannot but think
of eternal devotion,
of the relationship
between two who have
pledged their forever troth!

as i wonder from what recesses
this one came, i remember…
our 36th wedding anniversary
is fast approaching...
i’ve been thinking of what to gift her
that will make her cry anew.

**thank you to Hello Poetry for
the tremendous honor bestowed
with their designation of this poem as the daily
and to all who have expressed their heartfelt
love and appreciation... your message
came through loud and clear...
there can be no denying it,
i am an incredibly blessed man
because of each of you!
thank you, truly,
from the bottom of my heart!

Come, my beloved, to meet the bride
Let us together welcome the fall
We'll lie on the sand until eventide
And watch the waves of sea crawl

Come, my beloved, to see the white veil
Let us together utter a song
We'll dance on the sea with a sail
And laugh bold and strong

Come, my beloved, to feel the rings
Let us together exult and cheer
We shall cherish all these things
And be happy that we're here

In all the years I have lived,
as a man, a boy, a kid.
Pondered have I, with every breath,
how would it be that I face death.

Some promised me an afterlife,
Of pleasures I seldom craved.
Some said I would burn in hell,
afraid were they, I wish them well.

Some said I needed a soul,
some said I had one.
Albeit naught in a vast whole,
some said I was the soul.

Redemption is the way some said,
to rest in peace, beneath the grave.
People to possess, places to haunt,
else they said I would ever hunt.

A few said, I would meet with GOD,
albeit only if I agreed to bow.
With empty heads and holy writs,
spreading fear is all they did.

Seldom did they know death,
Soldom do I;
Seoldom does anyone,
for all are yet to die.

The Moon does play a nightly tune
Springing against the sky
The leaves are blown and have flown
Into my open eye
There it goes, the lovely rose
Nearing the day of wilt
Oh, where it grows, nobody knows
As the clouds they have spilt
It’s passed the bend, near the end
As it waves a leaf
This was one that was almost done
As it passes underneath
Oh, how I wish it could flourish
Right before my eyes
The one last thing I hope to bring
Is this rose’s paradise
I pray that at the end of day
The night will be so kind
To the rose that is pleasant prose
And that peace it will find

today
i feel weak and small
today
small problems become big
my brain is so full
i can hardly speak
today*
i’m batteling my mind
fighting the pain
trying to survive
with teary eyes
and an aching heart
