To a Virtual Friend
Viswanathan Iyer Aug 2016
We met by chance.
We chatted.
We became virtual friends.
We become good virtual friends.
We remembered each other likes.
We learnt from each other.
We inspired each other.
We read each other's thoughts being anon.
We spoke a little in person and much online.
We feared of eye contact in public.
We thought 10 times to make a phone call.
We argued sometimes.

We chose a different path.
We chatted once in a blue moon.
We wrote mail, 2 times a year, on each other's birthday.

We lost contacts.
We are strangers now.

We still hope and want the other shall be doing great and being happy.

Friendship,  virtual friendship.
To an old good virtual friend whom i met during my college days.

Letter to a Star
Viswanathan Iyer Oct 2015
Everyday I search for
the brightest and shiniest star
on earth while walking home
her look can cure my deepest scar

Everyday I wish to
reach this blazing star
However I try
she is so near yet so far

Everyday I know
in few moments in time
she will be gone very far
left with shallow memories in eyes of mine

What if i can't be with you
in this life on earth
some says we become stars in future
I want to shine next to you by all my heart
Dedicated to someone whom i consider as a star, this star i see for a very tiny moment everyday.

I Want But I Can't
Viswanathan Iyer Aug 2015
I want to dream with you
I want to smile with you
I want to weep with you

I want to go places with you
I want to see sunrise with you
I want to see dawn with you

I want to walk with you
I want to see the stars with you
I want to listen to seashores with you

I want to  jump with you
I want to enjoy the rain with you
I want to pray with you

But I can't
Viswanathan Iyer Aug 2015
I don't know how, I summoned all the courage to tell you,  I'd this feelings
we both holding a black umbrella, during a drizzle, under a tree,
by the side of an old car, I and You in that seven minutes talk

I don't know what, made you smile for few seconds, but I was glad at least
you laughed on my thoughts and may be on my first poem
I must have a strange confusion

I don't know why, I couldn't carry the talk a little further so I could
have seen that gentle sly smile on your face
a little more time

I don't know where we would meet in future, whether I will start the talk
and you will hesitate to answer  or you would start first and say few words
and again make my few more nights sleepless

Pain
Viswanathan Iyer Aug 2015
There is so much pain I see in the this orphic world and my pain is a like a small sand particle nothing compared to this huge mountain.

Biggest sorrow in our life is we can just understand each others pain but can't feel it.
Viswanathan Iyer Jul 2015
I don't know, whether I like you or this is just an illusion
I don't know, why i keep thinking about you and then repent it
I don't know, should i tell you my feelings or keep on repeating those in my mind
I don't know, I'm falling in love or just baffled

May be You will forget me
May be You will change your way
May be You will just ignore me
May be I'm falling in love or just baffled

Though I can't say it to you in sound words
Though this brings me a total sorrow
Though We can't be together
Though I'm falling in love or just baffled

Inconspicuous me
Viswanathan Iyer Jul 2015
I see you at streets
you glanced my way
passing the crowd
on every ordinary day

often I see you
praying in every temple on the way
I hope god listens you
and gives all happiness in your way

I was following you
from past few day
you didn't turn back
while walking on your way

I stand there everyday
to catch a glimpse of you
you didn't notice
you don't have a clue

my heart trembling like a wave
thoughts running like a free air
the only sorrow on my mind
is your eyes didn't meet mine

I will Wait For You
Viswanathan Iyer Jun 2015
I will wait for you
on a crowded street

I will wait for you
on the busiest bridge

I will wait for you
on a fussy platform

I will wait  for you
near the rushed office gate

I will wait  for you
near a temple

I will wait for you
near your house entrance

I will wait for you
wherever you assure to come

— The End —
