seems like
the greatest
perhaps, the
eventual epitome
of the finest
taste of ecstacy,
if you'd be
allocated
this slice

when you left
I waited for your return
I waited until daisies sprouted
from the hollows of my collarbones
and until vines weaved themselves
into my ribcage, wrapping tight around my lungs
and taking away my breath
much in the same way you once did
but this was less painful
because the vines were a part of me now
a product of my own misery
and unlike you,
they couldn't leave
it appears as though
there was a coup,
in kookaburra land,
this morning.

much fuss,
and cacophony.
as the brown and blue kingfisher clan, reassembled,
their royal court.

the big old king,
uncurled his talons,
unfurled his wings,
gave one last,
manical chuckle....
and fell from his perch.

to lie still,
upon the dusty,
brown earth.

shocked, silence for some seconds, and then...
the eucalypts erupted into, (what would appear to the outsider);
cold calculating mirth.

as the young jacko princes, all began the joking joust
for the top place berth.

in a melee of swooping, chuckling grace,
a contest no less,
set to test....
mettle, worth and cackle call.
each young bird,
takes to the wing and flies into the maddening...and how close,
         how loud,
                  how startling,
         they can be.
            is made known,
by those,
whose years,
            have flown.

when all, is said and done. tourney overflown,
feathers are preened.
then the winner
is presented,
with opportunity, bold....
to nest the queen.
as to the rest,
they take their place,
in the chaotic, cackling, cacophonous,
kookabuurra clan nests.
to bide their time,
until, the next coup,
                        comes calling...
this is fiction, i have no idea, really, how jackos sort out their hierarchy. they where just exceptionally excited at dawn this morning... and this flowed through.
To be honest I am something but nothing
Everywhere and nowhere
Amorphous, free falling, solid
Tangible, intangible
Beyond comprehension
A Shape
Nothing more
Simple
Things
Stay with us
I want to move you in the deepest way
To change your mind and make you stay
If crafted words on paper were enough to make you love me I would write until my fingers bleed
I will send a thousand letters you will never read

And I wonder how is it that I've
Seen your face...
Felt your touch...
Tasted your skin...
Inhaled your scent...
Heard your laughter...
Without ever knowing you before

shut out the light
shut out the sunshine that reminds me
of how much i will have changed
when i leave this place

i have hardened my skin and my resolve
to ignore time until it favours me again
i can't stop the shifting days, and i don't want to
but i can't hurry them along either
and i need to

basic needs will be met, sure
but you are more than just basic

you are complicated and simple
and everything in between a smile and laugh
that i have memorized and forgotten and saved again
a million times

shut out the light
and take it from me, take whatever you need
take it all before i notice the change
that pervades the air here
as my skin darkens and my smile tightens
and my resolve buries itself deep in the places
where winter still keeps me pale
and you still keep me warm

i'd take a whole summer of this grey sky
just to know you were spending your time
under sunshine
truth
The room is empty,
The air is still,
Nothing but me,
My contempt.

It's cold,
Smooth,
Sharp,
Uncontrolled.

I turn the killer,
Over in my hands,
I turn the breaker,
The thriller.

I wrap my fingers,
Over the handle,
Open,
It lingers.

Fair skin,
No marks,
No scars,
This what would've been.

Press,
Glide,
Cut,
Regrets.

Drip drop,
Red,
Blood,
No stop.

Pain,
Mental,
Physical,
No gain.

Sharp breaths,
Gasps for air,
Bad thoughts,
Deaths.

Back to reality,
Realization,
Wounds now scars to come,
No morality.

The blade,
Not the killer,
The one who holds it
The killer betrayed.

Just one,
A single burning cut,
All this hurt,
What have I done?
A poem about cutting.
Pollen is taken,
caressed gently by the wind,
Gentle seedling white.
soft petal pink lips
caramel ice cream skin
big brown eyes that say come in
and a heart that's made of diamonds
