Mida Burtons
cleaned my face, fixed my hair
washed away all my tears
now stood here looking at you
wondering why, so confused
i ask around
you say you're fine
but here you are alone crying
how could you have been so stupid
how could you have let them in
you thought that they would change
well darling think again

Yearning

When soul fire

Longs to be free

Heart and Bone

Ache

But the words don't come

And beauty is stilled

A dry garden

Dust in the wind

A living thing

empty

With the promise

Of rain

Raven
The girl in my poems,
she lives in the darkness
and never steps into the light.
I have never seen her
but I feel her when I step into the dark.
I can feel her tears when I touch her,
I can hear her quietly speaking
while she's lying in my arms.
And while she'll never come into the light
I can try to draw her with my words
'cause that's the only way
she can be seen.
I just hope that you'll see
the beautiful girl
I met in the shadows
if you look at my words.

I'm so scared
I know what may be coming
And it isn't pretty
I just want to crash already
And burn up into smoke and flames

She grew tired of her thoughts
and the weaknesses they had found,
So she flicked her embered cigarette;
and burnt them to the ground.
