give yourself permission
to be who you are
and still be loved for it
don’t be afraid of yourself

I thought
I knew you
so well -

like the
back
of my hand.
But every time

I look
at my hand,
there's a new

bruise,
a foreign
scratch,
a scar

I never had
before.
So the truth is,

I really
don't know
the back
of my hand

all that well.
So what does that say
for you?

I wrote for 10 minutes,
A lifetime of carefully chosen words,
But the app crashed and closed and burned,
And my finished poem disappeared.

It’s
Not
Difficult
To
Love well

            Unless you’re selfish

THEN IT’S IMPOSSIBLE
The greatest lesson humans will ever learn is to love and be loved. Love Well ❤️

Apocalypse 2000

It happened
It was subtle
Bloodless coup

DEMOCRACY
Comment from author about the poem: Every day, what I hear, what I see, is that we are suffocating true democracy. Our will to compromise is dead or dying and we are becoming a nation of extremes. If morons are appreciating bafoons to lead, what else can it be termed. After winning the global war of politics, we lost our own way. Who needs sitcoms and reality shows, when it is being enacted on the largest open air theatre - no addmission required.

Am I the living nightmare of my alter ego
Am I living the nightmare of my alter ego

You stood by my side
when I couldn't sleep
on cold and lonely nights.

You stood by my side
when I was losing
everyone in my sight.

You stood by my side
when I kept over thinking,
felt scared and terrified.

You stood by my side
when I wanted to quit
and commit suicide.

You stood by my side
when I wanted to hide.
You became my best-friend
and that's how I feel inside.
