Walking in dim thoughts
with the sound of rain outside.
The dripping pattern takes
me on a pitter-patting journey.
I'm neither here, nor there,
and yet somewhere
I must be.
Craving to be healthy,
in mind, body and soul.
Content perhaps?
Aware of who I am
and who I will
always be.
Is anyone like this?
Really?
Or are we a collected
mass of android
arms reaching
lamely for
robot parts?
Artificial emotions that
fester out like
***** mud shoes left
in the hallway.
We yawn internally
to avoid the truth
that we are bored
with one another.

Raindrops continue, as
does my doubting heart
as it wraps around
the possibility of
funerals and
Requiem Masses.
Long faces and
sighing masking
the indifference
of striving.
Together in mood
but far apart
in disposition.

Carry on, rain,
carry on. Slip
your wetness
against the dry spell
of my perception.
I can see. Or, I can
close my eyes to
imagine that the
tomorrow of thought
becomes the infested
reality I will be living.

I spend too many
careless storms wishing
for other days to arrive.

SG Holter
It's almost June.
Still got a fire going.

I don't see myself as one of those
Scandinavian poets who write

Almost only about the weather
Without reason.

The weather is a woman.
As angry as she is breathtaking

Around here.
Turned on and scared,

We brace for impact before
Every forecast.

Will there be a summer at
All, or dull, lightless skies of

Unblue until the rain comes
Down solid again?

I dip my pen in warm memories.
Sad that they are mostly

From abroad, I surrender the idea
Of truth in poetry.

Well, we drink around fires.
Cling to the military standard long

Underwear we stole when we were
In.

See too much as potential
Firewood.

We notice that the sun never
Really sets these months,

But there's room for cold in
The light.

We pray for summer. Hoping
This year it falls

On a
Weekend.

Take my hand as we walk together to the nearest star
Trust me with our love it won't ever seem that far
Unless your love is just a scene of a lucid dream
A clever scheme a nightmare impossible to scream
Let's redeem our vowels take a trip to the clouds
Rip off our shrouds dive off the edge into the crowd
Put down your doubts lay out your heart
Just play your part, like a priceless piece of art
Beautiful yet so smart my Venus and my fire
My universal desire coming down to the wire
You inspire the wildflower to grow in my garden
As our love hardens I begin to feel uncertain
Remember graduation what seemed like forever
Was an endeavor my first true wildcard lover
You think I'm clever when ever I talk about the future
I think you're cuter so for every wound I'll be your suture
Even the earths curvature couldn't keep me from loving you
But is it true all of the crazy things that you do
The birds eye view I had showed me the truth
I had wisdom in my youth to cover-up and sooth
Prehaps to smooth the tension I couldn't mention
So I waited oh so patient for your confession
A recession of aggression grow cast by hate
While you participate on your date I try to locate
What's now my fate but It was too late
Love and fate

She became a secret, never opening up
to anyone, and she wore the years like a diary,
no one ever wanted to read.

A broken back
Just will not do
You’ll take too long
And burn the stew.

On note of burning
From where’re, the scars
That, stomachs churning,
Make up the bars

O’ the prison that binds you?
A cast iron shackle
Society’s scorn
And a hollowing cackle.

Empties your soul
Of the love it once held;
For the people around you
By whom you’re impelled.

The dregs of a rag
On which a blind man once sat,
You are the nothing
No more than a rat.

I hope you don’t depress
And cry in the broth
Or bleed on your robes
For we might need the cloth.

A penny well saved
Is a penny well spent
And yet all I can say is
“You’d best pay your rent!”

If a benevolent master
Is all that you want
Then I would suggest
Not being a runt.

What man could desire you?
What motive to care?
For most not your money purse
For that is laid bare.

A whispering wisp
Once told you to wait.
A malevolent spirit
You’ve taken the bait.

Within this jungle, which is ours
I ride the back of Thunder-cloud, my friend

Around and through the thickets
thick banyan trees & palm fruit fallen leaves

Down muddy earthen paths
until everything is green and shadows

until inside its heart, the rain forest
trees of this jungle are city buildings - tall

and choir of fauna high and low
do not fear to sing beneath our cathedral's shade

In this kingdom of flora and ruby rich dirt
belongs to thunder-cloud and dirt-poor me

A Mowgli on his elephant,
hollars ahead to any that hear "We are free!"

Here, far from the whips' lashing, guns,
away from the loud business of murderous money

They who say that I am nothing
in their eyes who abacus my worth with looks

with upraising lust of wolves
but I a free man, a simpleton for beloved (Earth)

I am dark skinned
Krishna on my steed of thunder-clouds

A native son of brown & green wilderness
caterwauling to the beyonds unknown

Within our jungle, brother thunder,
my elephant of deep clouds gray

we are Mammoth and as wild as wide
as open as free... with every step forward

on this living journey
we will take

a peaceful kind of smile
will only be what is written
                                                       upon each lovely lovely face

*(Within our jungles...we live simply
without the Man's hate
not today will I hunger, nor will I thirst
fed on real wonder, drank clouds of Himalayan rain
without a rupee to my name... on the back of thunder
my gentle Ganesh - I have no one to blame.)

Hold me as I silently sob
Rob me of my loneliness
Caress my empty flesh
Mesh your heart with mine
Dine on the small of my back
Lack in love as I also do
Glue our pain together
Forever we grow cold

If i'm a sunflower
You are my sun
Your warmth & light enlightens me
& Bestows energy to my soul
When you rise up
I always turn to see your face
When you come to me in the morning
I really start growing,my darling
When you come to me in the noon
Floating, tossing & dancing in front of you
When your rays kiss me
I bow down my head and shy
When your brightness hugs me
I happily move and bloom
When your light shades
By God my face fades
When you hide behind the clouds
My crying voice louds
When you become sad
I also feel so bad
When in the evening you show red light
Me turn pale, old & lose my sight
When you go away to home
My loneliness starts killing me
When you say good bye
I finally wither,fall & die

Sequestered
Slandered
Without evidence;

Possessed
By seven demons.

Delivered
Into discipleship;

She didn't
Betray nor deny Christ;

Neither fled from
Garden, cross nor grave.

But the first
To herald His resurrection.
A brevity poem inspired by the person of  Mary Magdelane.
Who was Mary Magdelane really.    Was she the ******* everybody assumes.  What is her story?

"Thirteenth" was penned in 30 carefully selected words exactly
