They who cheer your coronation
Are they who cheer your execution.
I think I'll call them friends.

They who weep for your wedding night
Will weep with news of this ungodly plight.
I know they are my family.
Family is forever.

I don’t want to talk,
So pretend I’m sleep.
I don’t want to eat,
I’ll just drink tea.
I rather not be touched,
Human contact; not in your dreams!
I’m quiet for a reason;
Are you too blind to see?
I’m having a ****** day,
Where no one knows what to say.
So, if you like the “nice” Ree,
Good advice is to let me be!
Just one of those days

Is it weird that I miss crying
Like crying because of
a good movie
a sad novel
a soulful song
or perhaps because
it hurts so bad
that all you can do is cry
and I miss it
because now
I just feel so numb

The night is always darkest
before the dawn.

It’s always okay to cry.

I have someone with whom I can
share my dreams and my nightmares,
my worries, my muses and inspirations.

It always gets better in the end.
If it’s not better, it’s not the end.

What makes me happy
doesn't have to make others happy.

My opinions matter,
I am worth something,
and I deserve to be loved.
These are thoughts to write on the walls of your room, on your forearm, on your mirror. These should be shouted from rooftops. These are thoughts I wish upon you.

These Words

The heart --
        Can never be open
        Unless somebody
        Breaks it.

The love --
        Can never be true
        Unless somebody
        Makes it.

The seasons --
        Can never change
        Unless somebody
        Feels it.

These blankets --
        Can never be warm
        Unless they are
        Somebody's arms.

These words --
        Can never be relevant
        Unless they are
        For you.

If only you knew
How many of both my loving and aching poems
Were written because of you.

King Panda
everything is on sale
and I eat and eat
and yell at the couple
arguing in the ATM line
and smirk at the pharmacist
as I toss my meds in the
can behind the counter
king soopers
my realm
of crushed potpourri
honeycrisp apples
black cocktail dresses
stuck
shut with
peanut butter

I love grocery
shopping.

We three wished upon a star.
One is fairest, one had the car.
One is the bind that is the love.
We three stare at clouds above.

Slowly, softy, changing shape;
Like we; folding, holding, loosening chape,
Warmth of breath upon taut strength.
We roll, and stick, and cling.

For each other, we sustain.
Pleasures ache, quakes refrain.
Touch brings shivers, slivers wide,
Ever growing, rolling tide.

Upon the Earth, beneath the sky.
We three embrace, nuzzle, sigh.
We recede from the crest.
Reluctantly, we rise and vest.
I wanted to write something a little ******, but also a bit on the alternative side, a little bit of the underground.
