I took your hand and held your pain
close to my heart whispered your name
and shared your joy while all the while
consoling the sorrow behind your smile
A reflection on true friends who don't need to comment, criticize or judge.  Who will laugh while you laugh and all the while hold close your pain and never let you go.

lo the ugly duckling, a face no one could take,
left all alone to live an unknown fate

who by chance met a blind rabbit, who's hearing was very keen,
and they became fast friends, because he remained unseen

and one day he reflected, I'm glad you cannot see,
I didn't scare you off so you found the inside me

Oh you silly duck, I can see just fine,
I found what really matters, in your heart and mine

I would give to you a gift, something from the heart
That you may remember me, should we be apart
I searched for something special, that lends itself to say
How much my heart burns for you, every moment of the day
I looked around to see, flowers of every kind
The colors were so beautiful, the scents so divine
I saw a lot of animals, kittens and puppies too
But none so soft and warm or nearly as lovely as you
I turned to the Oceans where dolphins and corals thrive
Reefs of endless beauty a mirror of the sky
But still the deepest oceans were shallow in compare
To the wisp of your voice and the flowing of your hair
So I took to the heavens and witnessed the birth of stars,
galaxies and nebulae, wonders from afar
And in this place of wonder, I finally came to see
to show my love and passion, what I give to you, is me.

In the glory of dawn and serenity of dusk, in the crisp winters air and a cool summers gust.  As the leaves flutter in autumn and the rains cleanse in spring, I'll always hold close to me these very few things.

The radiance of your smile and the warmth of your embrace.  The sweet smell of your hair as it caresses my face.  The soft touch of your skin as it passes over mine, those very gentle moans as our bodies intertwine.

Heavy the weight that one must carry when things start to come apart,

Emotions unbound a soul in sorrow the burdens of a troubled heart;

I will be your friend and while your heart mends I will share in your joys and sorrow,

And wait for that day when you finally say, things will be better tomorrow.

Dancing in the moonlight
a shade of heavens glow
Your lonely heart is seeking
for what you do not know

I wonder if you see me
And how would I portray
This love I have inside me
That grows for you each day

Your smile
Your eyes
Your heart

I've always loved you.
