Now I can float with you
on dreams of possibilities
daring to hope again
for a season of light.
We are partners of the universe
in flight
not fright.

Dreams are made of possibilities
not of economics or hands
and bare-***** probabilities
but of living tissue
of heart.
I bow to and send thoughts and prayers of gratitude to Cne for her poem, “It’s Good to Dream” on her page on here: https://hellopoetry.com/livandletliv/poems/

You are the single flame in my life
when I focus on you I can dance
I have passion red and damp
I can burn until I am light.

Lady of the lonely street
Why do you smile so sadly?
Are your days just as sour as mine?
Or do you bare a pain born of the mind?
I wonder if one day
You'll see me walking too,
See I'm just like you,
I bare a sad smile too.
wondering
do you ever wonder why,
as i drive by,
how i throw my cigarette out the window?
so violently..
it's because i dont want it..
to fly back in.
sometimes i think,
you're just like that cigarette.
you fly back in..
unbeknownst to me
and burn my carpet.
leaving another mark,
so subtle.
yet another reminder,
of my black lungs
and black heart.
no thanks,
to you.
all that glitters is not gold

In the End, It will all fit together.

i rip open my skin
not much different than i rip the band aids off of it
tossing it aside in much the same way

thirsty for the secrets my body is keeping from me
so disappointed that i have a Physical Form

It's a hard thing for me
to realize that I never
truly loved you

because love was not
supposed to be two broken
people sharing sheets in
hopes to heal their wounds
