 Dec 2024 Ayla Grey
Nameisis
she was forged
by the songs of joanna newsom
she said:
"no one ever talks to me quite like her"
and i understand
and i see the beauty of her words
reflecting in her sea-glass eyes
she stands
in the city square of some polish town
she got here by train
she carries a bag like a woods witch
with literature for more intelligent folk than me
and she wears a smile
for more deserving folk than me

The nightmares I have in my mind while my eyes are open are far worse than the nightmares I have when I lie my head down on the pillow.
I’d much rather awaken to me falling than to breathe through these thoughts of loved ones dying.
I often wonder if I’d awaken to find that it’s all just an imaginary dream
But everything’s the same day by day night by night
I’d much rather be having sleep nightmares than awake nightmares at least the nightmares when I’m asleep give me a break.
Do you ever get a break ?
You had every right to leave
But not without saying
Goodbye
I needed some closure...
Loving you is the
One stupid idea that
I'll never regret having
How could I ever do so...?

the most hurt
comes from the people that don't understand you

and most problems
come from the people that do

Hey there, sweet stranger

I see the way you hide

Bottling everything up inside

I read your words over and over

Knowing you're just on the verge

Of finally breaking apart

So let me protect your heart

I see you, sweet stranger

And all your works of art

I feel your pain deep inside

You never need to hide

Not from me

In my monochrome life
You're the colourful rainbow
after rain in sunlight

In my silent life
You're the musician
That breaks the silent with melodies

In my blank paper
You're the poet
That filled the emptiness with rhymes

You said I love you I think
I said What do you mean?
But I knew what you meant
That's exactly how I felt

I am.

I am noise, I am flame,
I am fury, unbound pain.
Rage and storm, blood and fire,
I am chaos, raw desire.

I am wonder, I am strife,
The raw, unyielding pulse of life.
I am art in its truest form,
Brilliant, fierce, a cosmos reborn.

Eve
I stand amidst chaos, lost in the haze,
Reaching for you, but your gaze never strays.
The one I once sought, my refuge, my guide,
Is no longer waiting where hope used to reside.

You, my constant in a world so unkind,
Now absent, like others who’ve left me behind.
Perhaps you've surrendered, as they all have too,
Given up on the soul you once held true.

So now, I'll play the role they’ve designed,
Proving them right with the scars in my mind.

No, I haven't abandoned the fight within me,
I’ve merely become what they forced me to be:
Friendless, loveless, and cold as the stone,
A shadow that lingers, lifeless, alone.

This is an old poem from 2018 that i decided to revamp.
