The tremble of her skin...
Like rain tapping off of
a jigsaw puzzle formed in glass.
Among my last poems,I'll try to make my final count. Hope u are all well.
It's a treasure trove
Words tossed up like confetti
Falling in our hearts
Equations
in the sand

Laid out
and toweling off

Curvatures to
algebraic form

They define her lines
shape her axis

My island of
expectation

Amid summer's long
subterfuge

in this dream
I am drifting

my body is light
floating above

everything with
weight

nothing can pull
me down

there is no
such thing as

pressure

I have nowhere
and nothing

to be

Grief is a liquid
It is the tears in my pillow
Sweating you out into bedsheets
It is sickness in the morning
Whiskey in a mug before breakfast
It is the water I can't drink
It is the storm that kept me awake
The night you called
It is the rain that's followed me since
And the coffee gone cold on my nightstand
Where you left it.

I did love you, I

walked around in your body –

and got lost in you.
