There sits a paint-brush-thin monument,
A crooked rocky record built by many unwilling hands.
This cockeyed testimony announces a difficult man,
A man befriended by nature
Whose oakish form turned in opposition to his kin,
Took root on stony ground,
Prospered on infertile soil
And sheltered under nature's canopy.

mix like melted crayons
i'm tired and wish that they could stay on
my skin, but they drip down and in
to a puddle at my feet
the moments that drip, slip away
are the ones that i wish that i could keep
but they melt, mix and make
a puddle so deep
i should step in
i'd be delighted to sink
take turns to tip back and taste each one like a drink
splash, spill each one over my skin
make each a mess for memory's sake
turn, tilt, and take time to
clothe my self in all the caressing colors
like a motley collage
of rainbows turned chameleon camouflage
i'll hide in the folds of these memoreies
for earth's forever
fly where they take me
daydreaming while waking

money could buy happiness if

as our late night...not dates...adventures...and deep talks
the early Tuesday morning
walks and discovering
our very own piece of paradise
complete with waterfall
the overall romance
like an always sheepish glance filled swing dance
the innocence...
the spontaneity and
"do-it-you-won't-i-wouldn't-even-be-mad" spring break trips
taco bell and heathens and sheathens, HELL!!! comments
fresh beginnings and new starts
curious minds and ravenous hearts
lakes that look like bits of Scotland
and arms with seals also on hearts

he will take the memories that i can't shake

why did i ever go out on a friday night?
drinks with "friends" and hitting the essex
club "scene" -
well - no much of a scene -
there was never the music you'd want to listen
to: come friday or saturday -
even mid-week when all the rock kids
were "hanging out" -
what would be chances of being your own d.j. -
catching something really new...

but i used to: and i remember that gehenna of
a sobering walk - alone after a night out -

those were the days of having milk skin

rough friday nights in my youth -

once or twice the company was worth the drink -
but most of the time you only kept
such company: because you were drinking -
drinking was never an afterthought -

now... i like drinking alone -
at least i can keep fact-checking the company
and the odd vocab peacock taking to the catwalk
of a ruminating free-fall tongue waggle
and rummage - the needle in the haystack
adventure - or... the ******* bucket

there have been some awful friday nights -
but: seeing how i started to give my beard
a welsh name borrowed from a willem dafoe
novel - and how it simply became pointless
to wake the dead with the angry tantrums
of youth: and how i seem to have
forgotten where my 20s "went" -

i "wasted" 2 years on one book by kant -

and: how i didn't have the time to "catch-up"
on the greek classics -

oh these island dwelling people -
i try to imagine them not being a seafaring:

be digested come the hour of noon -

and what a fine friday night it has become:

i don't mind a people being right...
but the overt-gloating...
without having to work around the sort
of paranoia associated with:
how the russians are not allowed to glutton
themselves on gloating -
because they are always made
to feel suspcious - the russians can't gloat
like most of the anglo- speaking world...
always suspect: russophobia evil genuises...
tip-toeing goliaths - less the blundering
fudge-packers of "global ****"...
and i kissed a boy and i liked it...
my genitals started shrinking
and my *** started to exfoliate with:

and that tongue in my mouth always helps...
but imagine my surprise when
i started to navigate my hands

i once had a mathematics teacher in high school
bemoan the origin of modern numbers

and all arithmetic functions
were "spoken of" but never depicted...

aid of fingers when haggling

or by the abacus aid in a bureucratic office!

i said this was the most perfect friday night...

but... oh my god... the sensation of

how many times will this already painful reality
need to be emphasised once more:

own passage on this Earth

peddler wayfarer,
passing through with truth
poem pots and rattling pans
(nowadays, mostly panned),
a historic factoid,
and not what Amazon delivers...
truth is a genetically modified
bitcoin currency, misunderstood,
prone to sometimes useful,
but never ever, to stick or stain,
for I got excuses and who gives a ****,
yesterday is forgotten instantly

The coldest truths,
the confirmation of same
by mirrored image text sent,
(immediacy a necessity,
for though poor, it is 'real')
the twitter that methodically
A-lists your major crimes
B-lists your petty,
hope-you-didn't miss my
exposé of latest misdemeanors

the hot truths,
only whispered,
merely mint hinted

the heat itself
a cover up,

Can't write about moon and June,
alabaster is a fine word,
but white suits me fine,

The way I write is
just the way I think, believe,

there is no misdirection,
just silent labor conception

Poor poor real truth
is out of favor these days,
because there is nothing
no one won't cease or hesitate

flaunt the anguish,

but that is real,

Though I meander and excuse,
there is one state of truth,

Too oft when tapped turned on,
it is rusty water and rusted truths

I love the color rust,
overused in my poems,
but compulsion is not a
conditional, but a must

This then is the form

You might think that rust implies
lack of use,

My rust is from overuse,
my eyes don't see
what the popular want nor
could I provide it

Rusted but unvarnished,
undisguised by fancy words
or silent cries, what you read
is what you get
until I find
a more "authentic" voice,
one that satisfies the world
not just me...he sneers....

Feel for me in the summer breeze,

has always been plucked

to kiss your cheeks,
slap you alert

I used to write
on both feet
upstanding,
then Hillel was asked for
the whole truth
while standing
on just one leg

His reply:

So I switched
and now compose,
in quiet ignorance,
a wrong footed poet,
left only with his what's left,
and to put his left foot truths
first, forward and foremost,
is what he got, and
what I got, you'll get....

But a cautionary note,

wealth,

A thrush is singing from behind
enemy lines.

Spring can't understand
humans and their ways

dresses the trees
in their freshest  green.

"Jack...Jack Jack!" she cries
to the wind from the south.

( O South Wind )

She Abode's in the flesh
Just a short earthly extension;
She wasn't meant for this place
Another strain, from starry rain's, intimate connection's.

An intellectual, gifted at nativity
Untamed, yet maintained with life's finer qualities;
She shelter's me whilst the storm's beat upon the portal
Wing's she hath, like skyline glass, everlasting love immortal.

I thought I was dying
Tis I was in midflight;
I was rushed out of the window,
A dark haired queen in the night.

ii

Tis none fright
Her in a maria clara gown;
A tawny undertone,
The other cherub's danced around.

iii

As she carried me, in the dark suspense
Ourn spirit's drifted peacefully;
Yellow blanket flower's, amour so immense,
I saweth the pearly gates, as tis she stood next to me.

She let me knoweth
The only way to enter beyond;
Was to promise her loving kinship
As tis I promised mine soul and all.

v

I shalt never breaketh mine vow
To mine asiatic rose, I am quaint endowed;
She gaveth me the golden ticket, for the ivory pass
So I was humbled on mine knee's, thanked God, I kissed her sash.

She writeth mellifluous calligraphy
When she speaketh in her mother tongue;
She's ineffable, irresistible,
Tis, she's mine chosen one.
                                                Her kaleidoscopic ambience
pirouettes around mine being, heaven's own, the most beautiful soul; O' how I'm blessed with this queen.

Supine I layeth, looking aloft mine glimpse, a brightness flashed, in Asian sash, turtle shell's around her hips.

At that moment, I hadst an epiphany, I was finally living, to God I owed thanksgiving, for this archangel he hadst sent to me.

           in that Treasure Chest
Locked up tight,
          next to my bed
I don't know who has the

At night,
             I can hear it inside

What fascinates me about stars,
is that they are born from explosions
and built from collapsed particles.
I like to think that people are like that as well.
So whenever you feel like everything
is getting a little too much
and you are about to give up and explode,
don't be afraid to collapse.
Let yourself crumble.

it is your birth
it is your time to shine.
