Got Guanxi
She is like a wave the way she breaks and formulates.
Calm and crazy change of state.
She moves in her own ways,
consistently different,
but the motion seems familiar to me.
Too far gone and lost at sea.
High and ready to break down.

I’m sure she’ll always bring me back to land.

Every card I was dealt said bad decision, so how can anyone expect me not to draw? I will shoot and aim higher with phenomenal precision even if it means a bullet lands in your head.

I'm through playing games,
I'm through listening
Everyone likes to hear themselves talk
But we all know money walks the walk
Too many followers mimicking;
Cheerleaders
Too many followers tweeting
All birds
No bees
They sees where I reside
All rhythm and blues
You snooze?
You lose
We play for keeps
But yet every card
I was dealt
Said bad decision
I wonder what it'll take
For one of us
To gain some vision.

Wounds

M
This all looks good, but where are your wounds?
My wounds? Yes, where are your nail marks?
Where are the scratches on your back from carrying
anothers' burden? Where is the blood you shed for your mother
where is the ache in your soul for the pains of your brother?
In the end, when anything and everything is lost
your wounds, on your tender and sacred heart, in sympathy and health
matter most, for the way you felt upon that cross
will be more than enough to pay your sins' cost.

Forehead touching knees
Tears streaming, pleading with God
But he says nothing.

She looked like she had it all together
She laughed more in ten minutes than I had in a month
I wanted to talk to her about it
But I didn’t want to dump my pain on her all at once

I’d never seen such a natural beauty
It wasn’t just her face, it was the way she wore it
There was nothing to draw attention
Except her happy eyes and the way they were lit

You don’t look like you need me baby
But you’re not wearing a ring
You’re out on the town
You don’t look like you’re missing a thing
But everybody needs somebody
And I want it to be me
I just have to calm myself down
And remember it’s real and not a dream

There she goes out the door
Her long brown hair waving goodbye
If I hadn’t been so taken
I wouldn’t have acted so shy

It seemed whatever I could say
Couldn’t open a door that didn’t need to open
I guess love is just about luck
You can’t walk up and say you’re the one I’ve chosen

You don’t look like you need me baby
But you’re not wearing a ring
You’re out on the town
You don’t look like you’re missing a thing
But everybody needs somebody
And I want it to be me
I just have to calm myself down
And remember it’s real and not a dream
Song lyrics... you know the beauty across the bar...

Peter Davies
I have seen Death
And he isn't a bone-white, saggy old man
Or a dark hood with a cape
And a vile, gleaming sickle.
No, Death is much different
Than the stories of horror
Painted in humanity.
Death has a sweet face
And soft, warm hands.
He holds you while you're weeping
And takes all your sorrows
With a sweep of his arm,
The twitch of his brow.
He catches the hearts of teenagers
With flowers splattered on their skin
And fire in their fingers;
Itching and uncomfortable on their own home.
He pulls away the chains
In the young's unspoken minds.
As they fly through the air
Out their Peter Pan windows
He is right there beside them,
And the bitter taste of pills
Is masked by his lips.
You see, Death is so attractive
With foggy fingertips on hearts,
The young and the lonely
Jump into his arms,
Make split-decisions in his smile
While he just tries
To soften the blow.

Tina Marie
I'm not the one that walked away
I'm not the one that stole your smile
I'm not the one that broke your heart
I'm not her

I'm just the girl you met one day
I'm just the girl that stood by your side
I'm just the girl that fell in love
You're just the boy that said goodbye

Because I'm not her.

I just want to let you know
That I am still here for you
I had to let you go
So you could figure out what's true.

You hold my soul within your eyes
I never wanted to love you
You haven't said your goodbyes
And I hope you never do.

Take all the time you need
To figure out what you should do
Ignore my pain as my heart bleeds
I just want what's best for you.

But when you've got it figured out
If you still want me let me know
Please don't give me room to doubt
If I should stay or I should go.
Sometimes the ones we care about need space. They need time to figure things out on their own. It's hard to step back and give it to them. Even when you're sure they care, it feels like goodbye.

Got Guanxi
A sublime structure,
that breaks down in subtle stanzas.
The perfect protagonist,
who relates to most.
Memorise your lines,
the casting call is imminent,
the stage seems so intimate,
but you've waited a long time for this day.

Break a leg i've heard them say,
but I know you're ready to change.

this could be the beginning of a new chapter,
a mid life crisis,
to end your life in that perfect way you always liked in those movies.
second poem. will improve. thanks for reading :)
