"occupier" poems
you can wear your cap twisted sideways
sag your pants down to your knees
ride a pachyderm or a mule that brays
be whatever kind of fool you please
sing love songs in the rose garden
or complain how the dollar done fell
knowing qadafi, hussein, and bin laden
have all been dispatched to hell
you can rant and rave about raw deals
you can raise your snout and sashay about
or he-haw and buck, kick up your heels
or vote for more hope or to kick da *** out
you can lean to the left or to the right
weighing the pros and cons and hype
but you can't stay out of this fight
and claim you're just not the type
to freely elect their governments and laws
evers, walesa, mandela, and susan b
lived and died for just such a cause
to see the people's voices set free
but if you just call it mumbo jumbo
and aloofly let this moment pass
we all may be led by Dumbo
or maybe that other *******
what percentage do you claim?
forty-seven, one, or ninety-nine?
tea party? occupier? some other name?
are you just spouting a party line?
all our blood runs red
'bove us all the sky is blue
and no matter what is said
there's one thing we all should do
hadn't you better cast a vote?
against the ones who vote aginst you?
i think you'd really better vote ...
it's the least but the best thing you can do.

settlers came to the frontier lands
holding guns in their seizing hands
the tribal people's tears and blood
fell on the earth in a torrential flood
they'd been dispossessed of terrain
so lasting was the anguishing pain
their ancient grounds ceded away
to the occupier's colonizing sway
the Indians of the vast Dakota plains
had a culture under great strains
the foot-print put down by forebears
was nearly lost like the brown bears
yet the spirit of the tribes still survive
in their ancestral territory it's alive
they've a heritage enduring of flow
which is seen in the sun's risen glow

This brokenness inside would be kindling for fire,
that tiny spark that lit it all would come from our chains;
True companionship was something I strongly desired,
But vulnerability I thought it needed to be contained;
I learned to be uncomfortable, to truly perspire,
To share in what I thought was vain;
If I had known what I would've acquired,
My secrets I would've never retained;
Now I’d found a place to retire,
A feeling I can’t explain,
I'd found a place where love was the occupier,
somewhere I could remain.

the current occupier of the white house
is unable to lead the battle against the pandemic
sends unmarked secret police
to push peaceful protesters into unmarked vans
lets police use tear gas and rubber bullets
to clear a place for a photo-op before a church
into which he has never set foot
holding up a bible which he most likely never read
spreads birther lies about possible opponents
tries to defund the US postal service
because he is afraid of mail-in votes
attempts to destroy anti-pollution laws
that improve people’s health
wants to abolish Medicaid
tries to celebrate a wishy-washy peace agreement
between UAE and Israel as his success
throwing the Palestinians under the bus
& cetera & cetera & cetera
all he has managed to do in three-and-a-half years
is destroy many achievements of his predecessors
destabilize world diplomatic alliances
insult longtime allies and cuddle up to authoritarian leaders
killing 170,000 {updated 300.000] Americans due to his lack of leadership
sending tens of millions into unemployment and joblessness
and blame everybody else in the world for his blatant incompetence
today the USA have lost all credit
among the global community
and left a vacuum
China and Russia are racing to fill
make America great again?
the best cynical joke of the past 120 years

malignant soul
racing through life with eyes fixed
not on the stars
but on these satellites you wish to destroy
system crawler
captain of the drones
your walls hide you no more
for I
survivor of the phase
occupier of the after
thinker
now multiply
and we
see
you

Rows of sky scrappers
Are standing high with pride,
Looking to the hutments
With a nagging look and hate.
Said 'how ***** and shabby
You all are -
With full of filth and stinks '? ?
Hutments were in laughter
And replied them on face
'Yes, we may be poor
And may be stinking even , as you've said,
Still we do not occupy the sky
The invaders,
As you did invade'! ! !

Thank you Mr Trump ...
thank you Trump ...
to **** The peace process ...
to take of it's last breathes ...
and forever ...
this peace process ...
which we never need ...
as an Arabian nations ...
and the Islamic people ...
thank you ...
thank you Trump ...
to end this silly peace
which we never beg for
and we will never ask for ...
we just ask our nations ...
to get Palestine free ...
from the baddest occupier ...
the Jewish since so long years ...
thank you Mr Trump ...
to fire up the area ...
and to get us back ...
to our right direction ...
to hold again our weapons ...
to fight again the occupier...
as our great fighters before ...
until we get Palestine free ...
our holy land ...
our kudos...
as our Allah needs us to do ...
thank Mr president Trump ...
to crush this silly peace process...
which we really never beg for ...
we just only need to fight ...
need to get back ...
our Palestine free ...
thank you ...
thank you Trump ...

Shivers travel my body as
the temperature of the room starts to drop.
I've come to a realization that I'm scared to voice.
Got company over, one that I didn't invite.
A guest that can't stop babbling in the morning,
afternoon or the middle of the night.
I'm afraid it's the only one that has been coming around lately,
can't remember when I gave them a key.
Part of me doesn't want to change the lock, so
I don't end up all alone so I set up the table and shake hands
with the darkest of thoughts.
Let it haunt me at night
and freak me out on my way to work.
Curse my loved ones out and convince me
to leave everything behind,
'Cause I'm not worthy of their love.
When will I realize that bad company
it's not better than no one at all?
- occupier.

The revelation came to me
in a dream
& I screamed,
but no words
came out,
the shout tapered
off into the cosmos.
I realize
this place is not my home,
it's a space
I occupy
until
I'm gone,
this song ends.

"This bed smells like a lot of people."
She says with an exasperated flop onto her bed, which has been scheming about giving people nightmares.
it has so far succeeded.
Perhaps its previous owner had taught it good christian values.
this current occupier had abandoned hers years ago,
when they chose to start living.
But now everything is who was,
who was the lover she could never get over,
who had brought them the most gifts,
and who had stayed.

Reign
My beloved children
Your ashes will be rained upon
Your soul, everliving
Your name remains
Let them dream, during the night
Let them feast, during the day
For the occupier
Will find himself occupied
'One day'

The occupied
Never negotiate
With the conquering invaders
He will think
You are pathetic and ask for more.
He will respect you
If you refuse him
And have contempt
If you give way.
If he built a house in your garden
Is constructed on your land
Eventually, it will be yours
You sign no contract
You gave no ground
In the end
The occupier leaves
Defeated
By your steadfastness.
