I magine Icarus
C reatively carving his dream
A **** the soft features and
R idges as strong as his beliefs, lays
U nderneath an innocent soul
S tranded in a fantasy.
            Icarus
Flying towards the heavens
Embellishing the sky with pearl like wings
Caressing Icarus, soaring passionately.
His own hero in his eyes.
            Icarus
Glances up, suddenly hypnotized
By the gleaming sphere of light.
The innocent splash-
Tasting the bitter, revolting sea.
Swallowed whole without notice
With the sound of silence as
Icarus now soars freely with the angels.
I had to write a poem in English class, about Greek myth Icarus.
(written on March 7, 2012 as a junior in high school.)
T he memories always play back to haunt me.

R ummaging through a stack of vinyl records at Amoeba.

A nxiety finds its favorite record to play, speed up my heart rate... start the mosh pit.

U nderneath that pit, a prisoner sits.

M ay there come a day when freedom wins.

A nd until that day comes let the record play.

A [R]ainbow [E]cstacy [U]nderneath [M]e
Such beauty in the colors that I see
Because in this crowd of gray uniformity
You're my daily dose of purple and green

Come find me
I'm hiding.
Let's play
I'm deciding
On fighting
Or flying
Or spying
Or dying.

Come play dead, be my glorious Mrs. possum
Where we'll strip the snakes skinless
And wash ourselves in this river of red
Endless red, it's all I see, besides you and me.
Three orange suns set to raise a yellow one
Bringin green grass back to who are shunned
And blue skies will forever grace our face
As Equal Lips lock in this endless purple craze.

What's this, my dear?
You say I missed something?
Indigo, you say? Oh no, no, no.
For indigo was the color of your hair.

Hey everyone, what's going on? Why is
Everyone running around going nowhere fast?
Yelling into their phones, driving crazy-what's going on?

Yesterday seems like forever ago and
Other days seems like they will never come.
Underneath the stars, I sit, & wonder if people even
Notice the beauty around them or if since they're
Going to fast they miss ever little
Beautiful thing around them?
Life is short. Live for the present!
One day you'll regret it.
Once today is gone, you'll never get it back.
D**on't regret. Live for the moment. Love each other!

Underneath this full
Moon I sit
And watch

These people come and go.
Hoping that one day we can have peace,
Understanding, and love again.
Right now this world needs help, a
Miracle---something to bring us back to
A** time when we cared about our
Neighbors and each other. Someday.
Inspired by and song title from Fall Out Boy. Thanks to Uma Thurman, she's awesome!

Down with the world.
Only the strong minds will survive.
No one can pay their way out of
This one. Forget your money you don't need it where you're going.

Just love, peace, music, and memories
Underneath the cork tree, playing. So
Many memories, so many
P**eople--just gonna live my life and enjoy it.

Stop. Please. Can't you see at all how this could hurt me?
Underneath this broken frame there is a beating heart. And you're not helping.
Rage is a very despicable feeling. I don't like it.
Very near talking. Spilling. Overloading. It almost feels right.
I** know not why these feelings persist. They are ghosts and I am going to exercise them.
Valiant efforts are useless. Hatred and sadness always win. Always.
And no amount of love I bring, I'm always afraid of the hate my heart brings.
Love is a myth. You will never feel it. Nor will I. Give up.

Everything about you makes me sick. I can't stand feeling this way.
Never did I think this would happen. These thoughts would come back. They were gone.
Deliver me from this darkness. I beg you. Bring me forth from the shadows.
Stop. Please. Can't you see at all how this could hurt me?

Burn
Underneath the cork tree. Are you
Ready to fight
In the middle of the night?
Everyday I
Deal with being buried

Alive by all the money I owe. I just
Live each day for what
It's worth and take it with a grain of salt.
Very much so and with
E**verything else going on it's very tiring, but that's life!

Enjoy this wild and crazy roller coaster ride.
Just Enjoy Life!
Love. Peace. Music.

(A) rose within a garden of thorns sits still and glowing.
(N)ot to be prickly but to show a beauty that is over flowing.
(D)own the lakeside crystaline water flows.
(R)ising deeply, to a depth that no one knows.
(E)ventful is the sight created by a "Godly" hand.
(A) magnificent view to behold, an endless story written in the sand.

(U)nderneath a clear blue sky a lovely face sits beneath a tree.
(R)eading a penned story by an author, and that is she.
(E)ntwined, the words that cannot be written in rhyme, and only another tale to be made in time.
(T)o write another is to be done in a different tale.
(A)nd to write it freely is to be like ships preparing to sail.

Zephyrs stirred the warm salty air around my softly sleeping soul.
Orange danced with pinks and reds, the sky ablaze as the sun lays down to rest.
Optograms of you whirl around my head, my feeble raft floats, fearlessly falling.
Macrobian is this? Though guarded, I wistfully wonder,
as mabsoot I am.

Ocean arms envelop me in a coolness so bittersweet, I live and die a thousand deaths swimming in thoughts of you.
Underneath a velvet black sky, I sink, infinite celestial bodies gather to say goodbye.
T**ime may leave my immortal body behind,
so I will love you enough to last eternity while were here!
Zephyrs = a gentle breeze
Optogram = images burned on the retina
Macrobian = long-lived
Mabsoot = Happy

I** know that for sure.

Shall those moments not repeat,
Tilling the land of youth for maturity,
Irrigating the seeds with my love,
Lowered my voice in tensed times,
Lost in your dreams my mornings be.

Lost in these dreams,
Of your plain youth,
Violent violet hues pull,
Encumbering memories.

Yeoman of youth I had been,
Ousting the blues away from
Underneath the carpet of lies.

Bringing up the zombies of stale issues,
Until all of my sanity just vanished,
Trounced & trampled upon my heart.

In this digital ink my heart bled.

Wuthering away my own youth,
In return of momentary pleasures,
Loving yourself via me you were,
Luck has never been kind to me.

Awake I am in your memories,
Loving all the dreams I get,
Wherein I only see you,
Away from the world,
You actually live in,
So prone to negativity.

Righting your wrong I was,
Enchanted by your youth,
Mine was nothing ever,
All was just yours,
In the night too,
Not just in the day.

Lightheaded I always am,
Onto the ground I might fall,
Not poised to die in the deluge,
Ever I will be made to suffer,
Losing next battle of life,
Years are limited for me.
Don't worry, you will get married too.
Like every other girl that I used to love.
Be thankful for my bad luck.
I am sick of this burning headache.
Of this tinnitus & vertigo as well.
Pray that I get some kind of cancer.
I will be at peace with myself after death.

(I) s this really all that's left?
(C) an I get out as a thinker with a pen?
(A) m I worth the trouble in the end?
(L) ife seems not to think so,

(I) s it really all that wrong?

(V) engance will be mine I swear
(E) ven if all along I cared
(N) ow you've tipped the edge
(T) onight as I hang above my bed
(I) s it going to be enough to turn your head

(O) nce just so you could look
(N) ever again
(T) ill you
