The day's inertia grips an old, cold body.
Too dangerous to doze while ice melts.
Early morning commotion at the brain station.
An unnamed bird tweets but lacks followers.
Gesticulation of unknown parts. Shake the
waking brain: dissolve the haze of logic.
A Day Of Decision: to shave or not to shave.
Curse all the rules you learned in schools.
The difficulty of simultaneously breaking out
and in. White boys with hoodie-heads clearly
ignorant of color wheels. Each word waffle
in the mind meaning means. This craft makes
crazy but air and fire clarify these lines.
Poets voluntary outlaws in American eyes.
Who needs shrink wrapped verses? You are
implicated in whatever you choose to read.
Do not interrupt and demand exegesis;
we do not deal in scripture or litany;
you may only get the interpretation of wolves.
Only this blinky moment of alphabet unites us.
You are changed by this reading

In memory of
him?
her?
I do not know.
______________________________________________________________
In the hushed moments
before sleep,
you summon the
loveliest memories of him--
memories now
resigned to heartache and destitution,
to some far off, phantasmic realm
(wherever that may be);
you come to school ill
one winter's morning,
flesh cadaverous,
pale cheeks embellished
by bloodshot eyes
wreathed in dark circles.
He rests his hand atop
your forehead affectionately,
his eyes shaded with concern
as he comes to the realization that
"You're burning up."
(But, eventually, his affections
begin to ebb away,
and with them, so does your fire--
the stuff of magic);
Mouth frothing with rage,
you haul off and
punch the living ****
out of a bathroom stall.
This escapade of fury
leaves your left hand
inflamed
bruised
splintered.
When you tell him
what you've done,
he meets you outside
of the girl's washroom
and takes your hand in his,
runs his fingers over the
inflammation
bruises
splinters
softly and asks you,
"Does it hurt?"
(These days, it hurts everywhere--
and all for him, darling);
He pulls you--
fretful and teary-eyed--
to his chest,
his palm cradling
the back of your neck.
For a moment
you forget about
the cuts on your thighs;
the blood seeping
from your nylons;
the sorrow gnawing
at your bones.
For a moment,
you can't help but wonder
if this boy
is to be your
Gideon--
your Holy Grail.
(And, to think,
one abrupt gesticulation
of his wrist
and your neck snaps--

My writing, my
Frivolous scribblings-in a
Negative light, you tell me,
"You have to write 200 bad poems
Before you can write a good one."
And I have not known you
Long enough to understand the
Nuances of your speech but
I have learned, quickly, that you
Are poetry
Now, this might sound cliche but what I mean is
That when I see you with your bony knees and
Isaac Newton hair my heart
Dips backward in between my ribs the
Fluid motion of your mouth flipping into a grin is a
Chain reaction to my own smile your
Piano fingers stained with ink or paint or dirt caked in life,
In adventures, are their own language and the way you move
Them when you speak makes a dance, a
Twisty tango of gyration and gesticulation.
Exhaling clouds of smoke from your lungs, you
Frame your forehead with tobacco laurels
And I don't worship you, no, but I admire you,
In the way that you cultivate goodnaturedness but
Hide behind it
In the way that you discuss bigdeal things in a
Nobigdeal way
If you wonder why I like you, it's because you are
Honest in a way that is raw and I've never
Felt someone cut me in two with just a gaze.
You are nervous energy and social anxiety and bred to live in nature.
You are suave in a lanky way and still unsure of yourself.
You are a star collapsing in on itself blazing so bright before you
Burn out.
And I want that.
I want that easiness and integrity and
Dancingontablesbecausewhynot and
Singing a song you don't know the words to in a rubberduck voice.
And I want you.
I want you to want me, to
Want to understand my nuances and quirks and hopes and fears and
Why I cringe inside a body that I never belonged to.

The rudiment of life.
Shown in embryonic form.
Implant.
Once protected against unwanted risk.
Removed.
Another wanted implant
Now implanted in the wall of life.
Once was mere ball of jell.
Definite form created.
Gesticulation unborn wave.
Still in uterine home.
Impregnable in warm and cosy world.
Glancing via ultrasonic image waving back.
Forty weeks or thereabouts.
Grand entrance made.

me and my grandfather, buying candles to place on graves of family members, discussing topics hushed for the public, two hyenas of the graveyard... my grandmother frequenting the grave of her mother and father and nanny like frequenting an armchair... i've heard her cry... like a joy division song: an egyptian will tear us apart! but me and my grandfather the two hyenas of the graveyard - a friendly ghost of resurrected israel, suddenly everyone in western europe starts wearing an arabian scarf in the "cool" and "educated" sector of society of a bachelor's degree... vocal terrorists who only experienced the Blitz but not the holocaust; yes, domesticated cats returned into the hands of the wild by nesting in the graveyard... oh the scent of smoked wood of early winter of Poland in the air, winter in siberia, an air of such cold as if climbing Mt. Everest, walking on the frozen tundra plateau.
why do old men suddenly
get a monopoly on guidance?
why can't youth guide youth?
the old are guided by an automaton
of death, no one guides them
but suddenly everyone younger than
them frightens them!
why take advice from the old
who's sole concern is to die in
their sleep?
if we try transcendental passing
of knowledge we'll be left
with a 100m sprinter in a zimmer-frame
running faster than the the most
agile athlete... why take advice
from the old farts? are we in this
together or not?
are we a wave born in the 1980s
or just cripples of splintered appreciations
of past and future generations?
well, i can't appreciate the culture of youth,
younger than me... but i also can't
appreciate the wisdom of the elderly...
and that's because the culture of youth
is without experience worth a maxim...
while old age has too many maxims...
while we're craving a narration to serve
like a duty to prayer, although lessened
in terms of necessitated gesticulation
for dumb-struck rather than lighting-struck
realisation...
while old men start being avatars of death
and actors of past life,
the youth start to become competitive
and rude and un-guiding...
clench my teeth at the matter...
the young become passports of sight into lives
you sometimes wished you led
but eventually realise by their example
you haven't; and then clap... clap... clap...
you begin clapping... as a cursor to ensure they
do not conjure up an encore.

Aye, yes, we've been here before.
I see you remember me.
How long are you going to be here, existing on the precipice of
planing insurrections to gain the keys
to your resurrection?
A helpless and hopeless
festering yet motionless
Wretched shell that once graced an entire hall,
now sitting alone at this hole in the wall.
I'm here for you friend,
A fraction to whom you cant pretend.
we'll polish that fifth till a quarter to four
and lay our lives out on this cobblestone floor.
We are as cracks, grooved and carved by the storm,
that she wrought true to form.
Whats that?
Was there more of me than of you that drove her away?
They posit that I guided her here with guile and wit
unaware, ensnared, you are adrift with it.
Candied smiles, a laugh, a nibble, a flight.
Stifled dread, her whimpers, the scars, the fights.
The fitful sleep of lonely nights.
And it is as it was and only because
it reached the end of this frostbitten extremity.
Or did you want the affliction to last for eternity?
What a waste of endorphins better spent two timing with dopamine
to drown out what there was to prevent the abyss that will be.
Of course you wont listen to me.
The discourse of your double dealings
The despair that left you reeling.
The swinging rope adorning the gallows.
Gesticulation among the shadows.
A furnace to burn your feelings and cauterize
the wounds you inflicted upon your eyes.
I'm no more sinister than you are selfless,
a desire at various states of undress.
We are gland in gland through the steps of this misadventure
to a tune that bears no to time signature.
I'll envelop you in my various appendages
to drive home the clincher:
Though you may push me away for a while,

some kind of a mime
now you see me-now you don't.
some says..i can be often comical.
If i open the invisible box of chemical,
will you catch it?, i think you won't
cause i have
nothing but voice
of a serious silence
on a black and white face!
a mimic out of you,
a ponder of different hue,,
come laugh with me
behind the teary eyes of mine!
through the quirts of my gloves

alone, which if left unspoken to,
ceases to make meaning. what we
said is what shapes our mouth,
and what we mean curdles
the body of who hears it:
hurting which is another word
for weakness, and bravery which
is a transmutation of lout, this rigmarole
is far nothing but a ***** if you wish
to call it that, or perhaps a gladiolus,
a scimitar, a punched daguerreotype,
a subliminal stereo, a ludicrous cacophony.
and if there is much conspiracy to say that
the rind of words is tensely, the appropriation
of sound, then it shall be that the song
I sing, is for the world to own, unmindful
of its hapless victim. and because trees are
brindled, thatched to the Earth, reaching
for the desolate sky, it is the distance in between
where our words are, trying to make

Your eyes remind me of the sunrise
Your lips remind me of how much
I long to touch you
Your hips remind me of a garden
Your fingers teach me about the earth
Pianos sing melodies of water
Hours pass before the earth changes color
We are watered down versions of our ancestors
Messengers speak in fleeting gestures
We harbor gypsies and poets in our ports
To keep them safe we erase their memories
Cancerous conglomerates
Long defy their promises
Blossoms of sound
In the garden of drowning women
Symbols surround our shadows
We make art out of plastic water bottles
Jugs of fresh drinking water
Found along the shoreline
I swore to keep my promises
If we were alone i’d hold you to my soul
For without a shirt you look like a goddess
I am compromising with my heart
I wish to take you into my arms
And hold you against the wind
Windmills fill our sky-lines
You speak of your hurt and your pain
I write about my vision and my soul
Confused and aroused by women in gowns
I am surrounded by my shadow
Lands of adulation
Flocks of gesticulation
Floods of fornication
From where ever we came from

My Portuguese sadness,
My Italian gesticulation,
My German treatment,
My Northern simplicity,
My Brazilian compassion
Can only explain half of me.
I don't know Yoruba
And I don't know Tupi,
I am a Brazilian suspended
In European webs,
But all of it have a bit of me.
I cannot decide between
Abequar and Icarus,
For I am a constant mixture of opposites.

Within gradients and midterms,
Undefinable, then.

In this chapter, I'll be writing a rather pleasing storylines. The pages are rough, old, dusty & sandined with the weather's breathe. Exactly my point.
I've watched and also learned that linguists seem to soar in language, and freely express themselves in the tongue of the Language they speak. But, good poem outweight a sane course. It's indescribable express where every words have their own thought to act and rhymes as figures in the speech.
I'll say a man whose words slur like nocturnal isn't perfect, and imperfection is a beauty rare. Good poem is a world apart, like consciousness morphing into unconconsness unconditionally. Yes! Good poem breaks the law. It's outrageous to say that this poem can match your heart like a sorcery of visual, and tactile of kinematicism echoing auditory patterns of gesticulation.
Good poem is alive, a merlin, a warlord that fight against injustice with intoxicating and provoking characters coming alive.
As I'd say as a new regent,
'good poem **** the bad ones'
Write a good poem, I'll like to read some a savor.

Ovarian cancer affliction

and crossbones characterized mortal death
oxygen tank to sustain each measured breath.
Nonetheless her angry spirited accursed
ferocity, ejaculatory, denunciatory burst
expletive and epithet
peppered preponderant rant,
(no kidney you) laced
and dull livered worst
fulmination, exasperation,
(albeit feebly faint)
damnation well versed
lips mouthing implacable thirst
to defy grim reaper uber
lyft driver analogous hearst
jubilation immune to
interrogation and/or humiliation
diatribes interpreted glorification,
remained scythe lent bore
scathing rebukes hurled regarding
her sole son (courtesy
