"fdr" poems

This is not an attack, it is expression.
*This apparently isn't a very popular subject,
but then again, when has popularity changed anyone's mind..*

**** the 'Selective Service System'; the SSS.
It's neo-conscription.
FDR made us a deal we couldn't refuse
which included a stipulation
that about half of us still cannot refuse:
Selective Service
also known as
Peacetime Draft
But only for males. Only the males.
Not the females, though. Oh, no, not the females;
We need the Females
to bake the next batch of mindless soldiers/housewives/neoslaves.
We need the women to uphold the status-quo.
We need our women
to remain passive, docile, and beautiful ******* doormats
for our glorious and infallible western society.
We need our women
to be complaint, subservient, sex-starved, archaic-gender-role embodiments.
I see it as overtly 'cherry-picking' as well as misogyny both ways;
sexist, selfish, and prejudiced on both sides:
'Feminists' (read: Feminazis) claim to plea for true gender equality, but here is my plea:
If such is true, where then are their demands for mandatory selective service?
Why do they feel above reproach when it comes to the unsavory sides of society?
Why do they turn a blind eye to the ******* Draft if they ***** up such a storm about equality?
Why is it not a federal offense punishable by a $250,000 fine as well as up to 5 years in prison
for a female to not sign their life away to the military from when they turn 18 until at least 25?
How is that 'gender equality'?
Huh?
They, too, are cherry-picking.

.*oh forget Disney H'america... technicolor H'america was the bomb... gentlemen prefer blondes... oh **** no... the seven year itch... the Rachmaninoff scene... bell, book & candle scene... whoever the genius was behind the technicolor project, outmatched the Disney in 1950s H'america... little town America... big little ******** worth of Europe... eddi reader...more like: keep the cats, a woman may desire luxury, but a man a freedom... keep the town, the summit, the fireplace... keep your luxury... just give me the shadow, the sun, the moon, and the road: perpetually greeting me.*
oh forget looking
for scapegoats
these days...
full blown schizophrenia,
happening,
all over the anglophone
world...
me?
i'm just looking
at the lampoons...
sorry...
lemmings...
and the English?
top the table in western
world...
they thought they'd be
bailed out by
the H'americans...
good luck rolling
that pin-ball...
not gonna happen...
they have their own ****
to deal with...
it could have...
but now it will never
work out, no anglophone
alliance bail-out plan...
it's a ******* farce...
it's a bogus in the bogie
in the ******* coalmine...
forget the canary...
**** i'm seriously flipping
the coin on phrases...
FDR contra DJT?
magic!
no... the politicians were always
going to place the card...
the joker... free-fall dance-loose
feet...
my bet is...
it'll fall flat on its face...
the eastern European Achilles
heel of the europhiles...
that's a supposition,
not a proposition...
or thereby, pre-....
but i do love being a spectator
of rare sport...
en masse schizophrenia...
a nation, divided...
what a load of ********
the English thought that their
anglophone alliances would
last, would encrust them in
a new globalization mechanism...
even the ******* Icelandic people
think they're European...
what did the English think?
just east of Las Vegas?!
an island surrounded
by a massive prehistorical lake
"facility"?!
no one is looking for scapegoats
these days,
there's no one to blame...
mea culpa, mea culpa...
these days?!
everyone is looking for the lampoon
brigade!
- and let me tell you...
mea culpa mea culpa...
no one is looking for a scapegoat
worth kristallnacht;
people are looking
for a lampoon...
or...
karmesinrotherznacht,
the night of... broken hearts;
broken, crimson hearts.

My country right or wrong
we shall still sing her song and bombs away
on you
Bombs away on FDR we think he got away too far
in giving peasants below, our merit, the audacity to inherit,
our country 'tis only for me'
We'll work you until your flesh falls off, nine till five is not enough, to sell our gizmos here and far, to gluttons all alike
Ooops! (melody old man river)
... Oh tote dat barge and lift dat bale,
ya gets ah little drunk and ya lands in Jaaail
Pull yourself by your own bootstraps, who cares if opportunity naps, while the "America Dream" fades away
cause thirty years of us
America ' tis only for me but not those signers of Democarcy
in Philly where they took that oath, on that **** parchment
I abhor,
on that damnable parchment I ABHOR!!

You remind me
of a wet New York,
a summer of oily
lights on the roads,
of concerts in the park
and the white, loving claustrophobia
in the sky,
you remind me
of standing at a window
fourteen floors up
watching cars on FDR
in the darkness,
hoping that one of them
is yours,
you remind me of
sirens
always, you remind me
of
a confidante
in an alleyway
stale with garbage
always,
you remind me
of subways
and dark knowledge the length and width
of a city
always, you remind me
of crossing a bridge
over grey water
and pewter boats.
It is hard for me to let go
of the city
even as it dampens
in the slate rain;
and the stretched clouds
are pulled down
over the highrises of love.

After years of bleeding
Seeing society retreating
On oil slick sands
On bible belts
And boy bands
The world is ovulating
Waiting for the impregnation
Of a dreamer’s nation
Intertwine
With an age of the mind
The birthing pangs
Blanking on the dark ages
Yet we cycle back
Again
Rising up from
The ocean’s foam
Then sinking
Deeply into
Their dark depths
Another age of greatness is due
Returning
From the spurning of
Science and poetry
FDR to McCarthy trials
Beatniks to Vietnam
The Roman Empire
To the dark ages
The last sages
Got trampled on the road to war
The great poets
Frequently ignored
But it’s time
For another revolution
Evolution
End of pollution
And the dissolution
Of our greed ran

Put a few quarters
in me,
and look at the island
with the woman on it
swaying loosely beside me.
I don't know if I'll be able to make it
where we're going.
"Let's go!"
you shake me.
You go hard.
There appears in front of me
a lake of black coffee.
A caramel hand and its tiny bones
peopled by sweeter fingers
with fingernails as white as gondolas
stirs in a hurricane
of cream and sugar.
"Drink this,"
I sway to your voice,
but your body is as indistinct
as the sun split open
like an egg on the ocean.
Am I going to make it
through this night?
Stumbling out of somewheres
into the salt of Brooklyn.
You
hold me
up
because it's high-tide
in Venice.
And I might've drowned
in the subways
without you
telling me,
"This is our train,
Get up babe."
And that's how we made it back
to my uncle's spot off of FDR,
you fording the waters
as I waded back
on broken oars.

Driving in on I-278
The world is in a hurry
When the skyline appears
The top of the Chrysler; The Empire State
A sea of mirrored glass and steel
Windows on the world
On the FDR
The East River by my side
Burnt out buildings stand hollow and haunted
And my mind is on you
Racing towards you through the gridlocked kaleidoscope
Five bridges surround me
Only one leads me to you
Wait for me… I am almost there

Our way is the right way
Just like ****** has shown.
We will carry automatic weapons
And you must leave us alone.
Keep your liberal mouths shut
Give KKK politicians a pass.
If you don’t our President will
Okay thugs to kick your ***
You had your own way too long
With jerks like that FDR guy was.
We have taken over everything now.
Haven’t you heard the buzz?
We don’t care about equal rights
And **** and blacks and Jews.
We have plenty of Republicans
And Fascists we can use.
We’re going to beat you up
We’re going to **** your kids
We’re going to blow you up
’Til you agree with what we said.
Our way is the right way
Yours is a piece of crap.
We will walk all over your rights
And give The Constitution a slap!
We can take those stupid laws down
That tell us to agree with you
Or hear you or behave ourselves.
Any time we don’t want to.
So quit all your sickening whining
About the things we have done
Like rioting against you wimps.
Your day is over, we have won.
We won because most of you
Like the Germans of the forties
Let spread our righteous hatred
In murderous, cleansing sorties.
So don’t look for magic tricks
Played by a powerful evil elf.
Everything that is happening now
You can only blame yourself.
We’re going to beat you up
We’re going to **** your kids
We’re going to blow you up
’Til you agree with what we said.
Our way is the right way
Yours is a piece of crap.
We will walk all over your rights
And give The Constitution a slap!

“If I could only paint,” the despondent poet said,
“If I could only paint, I would surely knock’em dead.
Like Rembrandt or Picasso, like Whistler or Van Gogh.
I’d open up a gallery, and everyone would see
The pictures that I’d painted and they would envy me!”
“If I could write a novel,” the painter empathized.
“If I could write a novel, then I’d have realized,
My dream to be like Hemingway, Faulkner or Thoreau.
I’d be in all the book stores, my books would be top shelf,
And I would finally know that I’d made something of myself.”
“If I could hit a baseball,” the author next agreed,
“If I could hit a baseball, I’d be in the major league.
I’d hit home runs like Willie Mays, and run like Shoeless Joe.
The fans would come to all the parks to see me lead the team,
The kids would want my autograph, and all the crowd would scream.”
“If I was smart,” the ballplayer said, “And studied law in school,”
“Then I could be the President, and I’d make all the rules.
I’d be as great as Washington, FDR, and Honest Abe.
I would meet with foreign diplomats, and help the world find peace,
All America would know my name; Play ‘Hail to the Chief’”
“If I could write a poem,” the President bowed his head,
“If I could write a poem, my ego would be fed.
I’d describe the beauty of a flower, and the winds that softly blow;
I’d keep my poems in a journal, let no one ever see,
And be content in knowing that I had done it just for me.”

I've written so many,
Some grandiose, some terse,
And published them here,
To express and converse.
But the most pretentious of all
You've read or passed over,
Is The Invisible Poem,
Subtitled, Blank Verse.
Some gave it their blessings,
Some cried foul, and some cursed.
Isn't brevity the soul of wit; (Shakespeare)
Writing is 1% inspiration, 99% elimination; (Louise Brooks)
To write good poems is the secret of brevity; (Dejan Stojanovic)
So,
Be sincere. Be brief. Be seated. (FDR)
Take it as is,
For better or worse.

Some old black and white footage
Of Stalin, Churchill, and FDR
Meeting at one of their conferences
If I knew nothing of these men
I can see one is different
His eyes
There is no light there
Even when he laughs or smiles
In the footage of him at Potsdam
He does not radiate light
He is evil
He committed evil deeds
He is not a man at all
But something much less
Look carefully
Look into the eyes
You can catch a glimpse
Of who that person is

on the puke and blood painted
walk in front of a Juarez **********
sat a blind mendicant,
his cup half full with pesos, pennies
and a grand FDR dime or two
beside him a cur loused in lassitude,
perhaps the personal, impotent Cerberus
for this den of five dollar iniquity
sixteen I was, an acute expatriate
from a drunken El Paso house home
free to roam the streets of old Mexico,
so long as I didn't wake any Policia
or **** on the wrong curb
an empty belly and nascent love of drink swung my moral compass
from wobbly to dead down
and I filched the eyeless beggar's blue tin
he couldn't see, but the jingle jangle of his coins sliding
into my pocket filled his old ears
"ladron, ladron, cabron, " he screamed
thief, thief, *******
his words trailed me down the alley into an avenue of neon noise,
until I slipped into a bar, nouveau riche
my ***** was better than a buck so I ordered two beers
and a double tequila
feeling fine until I smelled the dung of the dog,
scribed penance in the grooves of my Keds
olfactory justice for stealing from the blind; a small price to pay
for the riches of drunkenness, the sweet taste of oblivion
(Juarez, Mexico, 1965)

Watch over my family Jesus
And watch over the good people of this earth
Who try to do what is right
I was at the gym this morning about 2:20 am
Then I came home for a bit of breakfast
Toast and cereal
An avocado too
Who doesn't love an avocado?
I listened and recorded
A Buddhist talk on tranquility
Then it was off to the golf course
35, 50, and 80 yard pitch shots
This afternoon
In the local park
Meditating
While I listened to the Shurangama mantra
Lying in the grass
I watched bees pollinating small flowers
A mother played with her daughter
As I left I saw a beautiful asian woman in her backyard
I came home and cleaned a few golf clubs
And recorded a lecture given by a speaker
Who spoke at the National WWII musem
About important military decisions
FDR made during the war
I also began a recording of a lecture
About how the Red Army defeated Germany
Then it was off the golf course
I chipped *****
There was a mother and her daughters chipping
And another lady too
I accidentally picked up her yellow ball
Thinking it was mine
She said it was hers
I apologized and told her I have a yellow ball just like that
She didn't say anything in response
I wish she would have chatted with me a bit
And said not to worry
But that's okay
Peace be with her
Then I went to the range
Where I hit 7 irons and gap wedges
3/4 swing
Good extension on the back swing
Follow through to the target
Good crisp shots
Hit off of sandy turf
I came home to my family
I love them very much
Jesus please forgive me
For the hate I have had in my heart
Please forgive me for the evil thoughts that I had
Sometimes it has just been so hard for me
To continue to live here
I love my family so much
I really do
But it's not fair
I've tried so hard to do what I would like to do
Well, I'll just keep trying
And in whatever I do,
I should remember to try to show the love
That Jesus showed to us
Freely given love
It is in giving that we receive
Well, I'm alone again
I wish I had a girlfriend to hold
Maybe one day
Until then I will have to hold my pillow

i think the americans ought to relearn
their policy on isolationism -
the chinese have already overtook
the americans on the grounds of
national capitalism -
and what a ****** opinion this
ends up being,..
the only way americans will
retain their americanism is by
isolating themselves from thee rest
of the world,
lest they become the lingua franca
that equates itself as merely
lingua fornicata -
no, i'm not the ***** of french joke
with bilinguals, or mono-linguals,
or mono-linguals = americans,
or three language speakers being
tri-linguals,
it just means: you own a *******
**********
how's that?!
lingua franca became lingua fornicata...
i swear to god the americans ought
to rekindle the isolationist policies
that FDR made real...
to live in a monochromatic world
is about as interesting as
living next to 20 taj mahals
within a 20sqm radius...
i have more of those
marble monstrosities in my head,
abstract...
americans ought to relearn
isolationism...
just to slow the **** down
on the globalist agendas...
given the made in china
national capitalism,
which was only perfected via
socialism...
funny...
nationalistic capitalism only
emerged from socialism...
well, you save capitalistic
countries via pumping them money rather than
pride....
english doesn't actually
encourage ******* why would it,
it already has ******
it's lingua fornicata...
perhaps, once upon a time it
was lingua franca...
now what
the english economises is *****
everything else is made in china;
the english used to be the marco polos of
this world, now? they're the don giovannis.
don't you worry about me,
the slavic women adore the fact that
they can be the ****** of
the kings of europe...
hey, i'm done in 70 years
or less given the chance i shorten this
prison sentence by 20+ years...
if i take to the fetish of prayer...
which part of the story am i take
honour for?
the part that i die,
or the part that i am born,
but have no allegiance to life?
mesmerise me, indulgence me,
tell me the difference.
i will be content with the last
breath, prior to any breath akin
to mine: take its first.

it's plain to see, economy is meant for us
the working poor now,
gonna have to grab our own bootstraps
and pull the leather up to our necks
in this new society
gonna have to take care of each other
walk with the old lady down the street to
the church giving out baskets of food
find the ****** addict under the bridge
and leave him a box
full of warm dry socks and underwear
because
it is in the interests of the ruling class
that promised no cuts to health care or
Medicaid
no one's gonna do without health care
and like all
the promises before
by the politicians it
all comes to naught
except for the rich who
have their taxes cut
chumps come and go
and it has always been us
against them
I thought FDR changed that.
I guess not.

I wonder how i'm going to end this chaos
I hear people are suffer in display
I see the paperwork each day
I want do the best to shine light in this world someday
I am hope and justice
i pretend to stand tall and proud
i feel like crowd know about me
i'm touched by the heart of our nation
I worry that i'm be facing this all alone
i cry and scream on this chair and moan for our soldier
I am hope and justice
I understand what our nations have to do to end such a things
I say that justice will win and light will shine into our skins
I dream of a places i will be able to rest by the Colorado springs
I will try my best till death oh wait me
I am hope and justice

How can I follow up?
Sipping tea, realizing my dark age in the ides
of March was just a melancholic cover up for
intensive art and getting **** done
"Adulting," I hate that word
We can learn so much from having a child-like nature
But they got you coping with drudgery by
coddling you in comic book imagery
Is your boss your dad that gives you play time or
a **** that's increasingly stealing more of your time, and money?
Stand up if you have the energy
The old don't protest cause
they got nice pensions from FDR and Mao Zedong
We're still the ever lazy young
with distinctive wealth gaps
not seen in a couple generations
It's a grim calculation by cold algorithms
as if that absolves the humans that
put the spirit of the questions into them
How much can we make them work so
they don't have time to protest but can still survive?
We've already stopped the pensions but
how can we stop social security?
It's been well invested
can we really just say the money's run out?
Yes, I suppose they really do believe anything
if you couch it right
Good work everyone.
