"dethronement" poems
“The most important scientific revolutions all include, as their only common feature, the dethronement of human arrogance from one pedestal after another of previous convictions about our centrality in the cosmos.”
Stephen Jay Gould
Give me
vacuum tube torus Lorentz-Klein interference receptors
dual noble-gas maser integration processors
at least one
prosthetic Gaussian carbon-coated ribosomal Tesla coil
an anthropomorphic hierarchical temporal meme-pseudopod
some
support vector k-nearest neighbor algorithms
reverse engineered quantum optic die-cast silica motherboards
self-assembling three dimensional electro-active protein polymers
maybe even
a superconducting spectral alkali resonance analyzer
paired with
harmonizing piezoelectric kinematic thermal modules
dipped in
subzero Kurzweil-circuit nanite neurotransmitters
and voila!
God.

I played the game with a smile.
Pawns suppressing the move
Made by my hand for the king.
A mistake, and it's all over.
Checkmate.
The king couldn't move neither direction
For the opponent's difficulty,
But rather an invitation of defeat
Spurned with soldiers left looking
At a king's dethronement.
No more.
I lost to a mere
Enticement
Of a Queen.

Well if you're wanting honest,
sometimes I know it all.
I have said it before,
and with this, they will surely have a ball.
But here's another truth.
I know nothing at all
Blame it on my worldly youth,
certainly not the alcohol.
I have persisted in being right,
but self-righteous? I ain't that type.
Hollywood smile, and a body to match
Seemingly lovely, but there's certainly a catch.
Watch your sins and thy evil back.
I am of light, and in fact,
I am coming for atonement
of those opponents who lack
grace and love behind their backs
I AM SEEKING.
dethronement,in the form of modern day locust.
A plague on your houses, as I focus
on what you hide out of sight.
**I find my best days
come after ridding the world
of the longest and darkest nights.**

*Born within a terrible mess
Nothing lasts in your sleepyhead
Music dashes your thoughts to bits
By some sort of gnawing loneliness
Your composed of broken bones
Dethronement shifting within control
Enclosed are senses so unknown
You are now a means to an end
Though your wonderful view is hidden
The shine lifting you, bent and dimmed
By some sort of gnawing loneliness
You're beautiful across the room
With the skunk next to you
Though you'll never discover
That I could be your lover*

We all just long for peace at heart
And for life to allow us a restart
With gazing eyes we start dreaming
Reminiscing times when our cheeks were beaming
The weather outside is a distinct drizzle
Making the world appear like a single grizzle
And you just stand there waiting
Because nothing else seems to be more fascinating
Than the rain drops and their continuous sounds
That just makes you feel so inexplicably profound
And you breath deeply through this moment
Thinking about nothing less but gods dethronement

Even war is crowned with solemn peace
That crown passed on from reign to reign
And from king to king even the gold does fade
So does the glory in the sword that's stained
The sword was silenced and then was heard no more
The blood stained veil tore before my closing eye
Thus it is the dethronement of peace that's the coronation of war
Yet could ever a higher cause such a darkness dignify

Unbashed you
come and go in dreams,
like chrysanthemum.
*
In captivity
of clouds, the moon paints
your eyes with tears.
*
Dethronement of
roses was the art of
bare all artist.
