I have always been the earth.

There's soil in my veins.

"you like him."
she said it like it was a statement, not a question.
"uh...not really?"
I tried to be nonchalant, convincing.
"you do. I can see it in your eyes.
when you feel like no one's looking,     you look at him
and absorb all his features, and the smallest of smiles appears on your face.
and when he is looking-at you in specific-
your whole face glows. it's like he's the sun,
and you temporarily share all his warmth and light.
it's beautiful."
this is sorta not really a poem, but I like it regardless so I'm sharing it. the song for this one is "friends" by Ed sheeran.

Once in my life
I saw a divine

Eyes fluttering like leaves
Throbbing my heart beat

Pretty little smirk
No bad intentions ,no dirt

Flushed cheeks
Hair so sleek

My archangel , a holy soul
When made a sound ,not a leaf felt alone

For a while , I sensed Heaven
Descending down, tonight at eleven
As an appreciation for the beautiful people that God has created.

I am a child of the ocean

peaceful and warm

To be able to breathe
After a long time of holding it

Yes...

To fill your lungs with air
Letting it reach the farthest parts of your body

To laugh
And not suppress it even a bit

To desire
As a child does

To be in awe of nature
Like a blind who sees

To write a poem
Allowing words to drown your heart

To be given a lasting joy
By a crippled man with a big smile

To long for an adventure
Letting youthful vigor take over

To not be afraid of change
Knowing it is natural

To enjoy things
As simple as the cold wind that touches your face

To appreciate
Even the most common things

To share
And share..and share...and share

To love with all your heart
Without asking anything in return

Survive yourself first
Discover your thirsts
Quench them but in quiet waters

Find the path among the twisted roots
Invent the peace that does not exist
Be your day

James Joyce
Lightly come or lightly go:
Though thy heart presage thee woe,
Vales and many a wasted sun,
Oread let thy laughter run,
Till the irreverent mountain air
Ripple all thy flying hair.

Lightly, lightly -- - ever so:
Clouds that wrap the vales below
At the hour of evenstar
Lowliest attendants are;
Love and laughter song-confessed
When the heart is heaviest.
