Man
A million books around us,
Yet no knowledge in our minds.

Windows in the room,
Yet no air to breathe.

Keys to every door in the world,
Yet no liberty to unlock.

Hearts which pump blood,
Yet no feelings to expresss.

What have we become?
Are we zombies or machines,
Beings without remorse or humility.

Nobody knows.
We just know that it's downhill from here.

A picture
                 slices a sliver of time
                                the traveller rewinds
and misses a beat

We can live life
                                          or
create timelines unlived

Robot replaces all unpleasantries

A picture,
cut from the reel of reality.
Nobody to miss the time,
between the jumpcuts.
Except, when you've had
a few too many

Grey mirror
I thought I  left the past behind,
But instead I squeezed it all
in my backpack
And carry it wherever I go.
The past still haunts me, and follows me wherever I go

In humility learn to learn in all situations
In tears learn servitude
In silence learn to hear the inaudible
In pain, learn gratitude
When in doubt, learn to have faith
Little black girl don’t cry,
They just don’t understand your grace.
Too scared to try and give you an embrace,
Because the media have taught you to hate your face.

Curly hair and plump lips,
They wish they looked like you so don’t feel dismissed.
I know It’s hard sometimes to wake up with a smile,
But baby girl you’re something worthwhile.

Little black girl don’t cry,
If they appropriate and take your style.
Doesn’t mean you still cant shine with that beautiful skin,
So reflective that the sun can’t help but compliment your melanin.

They say you’ve got that black girl magic,
But drag you down when you try and project what you want to say.
Have you noticed that you get more attention when you wear that swimsuit,But not in that cultural garment because it is too empowering and not subtle like a flute.

Little black girl don’t cry,
When they point at you and laugh.
Dignity is what we were born with
and unfortunately it can never be taught.
We are strong, powerful and so full of prosperity,
that we will always have the last laugh.

From one stereotype to another,
Life can be nothing but trouble.
But from one black girl to another,
Keep slaying like no other.

Stay bright like the star you are,
They only see darkness in our appearance because they cannot fathom the indescribable.
Your skin tone is the beauty they refuse to see,
But don’t you dare let it be the reason you cry yourself to sleep

Because little black girl you are a beautiful sight to see!

Northern Poet
When you're with someone
That you don't love
What will you do
When push comes to shove

Do you sit there in silence
In these self-hurt times of violence
Or do you cut the rope
And lose all hope
'Until death do us part'
Or will you go back to the start

Do you lie and cheat
Until you start to spy
And then you can't eat
You can't even sleep
And you never felt so cheap
And *****
It was only
A bit of flirting

What started out as lust
Is now all about trust
When the happiness fades away
It all turns to dust

Sometimes, when I lay in bed, things crawl into my head. They tell me how to think, as I fall asleep.
a few joined the campaign
and as a body of one
they relentlessly harassed
a specific two

mob mentality
won the prize of control
the methods they used
so rancid in toll

victory is theirs
yet only for a while

others are marching
with a new drummer's parade
ready willing and able
to oust the sitting crusade
