load your bullets
in the firing chamber
and they'll fly
from your lips,
ricochet and lodge
past the scarce armor
of my ribcage
into this glass heart of mine
     let my insecurities bleed out
                         don't staunch the flow

pierce my skin
with the shards of my heart
end my misery,
squeeze the trigger
with practiced ease
     breathe in,
          breathe out
               breathe in,
                    breathe out

                             *(you'll find another victim
                              downrange of you)
find someone else for target practice, *******.

An axe.
A sword.
The horse
He rode.

A bow.
An arrow.
His heart
of sorrow.

His armour
and shield
in the
battlefield.

That loss of
breath.
His comrade's
death.

Weapons did
clash.
Decisions were
rash.

Heavy was His
head
with all the
bloodshed.

Years were
spent
till the war's
end.

He returned finally
to his love.
Looked towards the sky
there flew a dove.

Why was Adolf ****** so powerful? Why was Martin Luther King Jr. Powerful? Why is the Devil powerful? Because they have the three most powerful weapons known to man. ****** used Fear. The mind was in panic, and didn't know where the monster was, or what it was. Martin Luther King Jr. used hope. The example of a better tomorrow. A chance to destroy the very evil walking among the earth. The Devil uses Temptation. To make you think one drink, one pill, one shot, one try, is only harmless; But in the end, he killed you, without even laying a finger on you. To have the most powerful weapons doesn't require physical objects. It requires the mind's powerful side of the brain. Fear, hope, and temptation.

Your words pierce my skin
Like a knife cutting steak
They go back and forth in my mind
Until they sever a piece
Of my heart off
Because that's what your words are meant to be
A weapon you use
Against me

Darts formed in the mouth
Fire through the heart like bullets
And you know you're in the wrong
But your blood boils and at boiling point
You lose all sense of morality and justness
And eye up your opponent
Trying to weigh up your options
Oh where did I go wrong?
Are we fighting to make up the passion we used to share?
Oh lay me bare on the battlefield
Spill your guts, put down your weapons
And as we come to an end of fighting
Hold our hands up and surrender
We notice that no one can remember
Why we started in the first place
And we fall next to each other
Waiting for the next round
Waiting to see who the champion will be...

The future of warfare
Technology is different but the mentality is the same
Human beings will continue to be slain
But people will do anything to claim
That we need them
Because profit is the benefit of fear
We’re told to fear those “terrorists”
When truthfully that word doesn’t mean ****
They’re different from us, sure
But that doesn’t give us the ******* right to
Claim that every single one of them is a murderer
Aiming these weapons at them just makes us what we’re trying to claim
They are
Politicians will tell you it’s just protecting our “security”
When all it does in reality is make us less safe
They see us the way we see them
This is a big problem and this is why war exists
Assumptions, stereotypes, and *******
Made to sound pretty and patriotic by militaristic dipshits
Isn’t it time we learn that the line between enemy and fellow citizen
Is one that doesn’t really exist
The only difference between them and US
Is location and the names on a map
Their culture or religion doesn’t make a difference
None of it gives us a right to point a drone at them and go “zap”
Let’s start a conversation
Before we have another useless war
They’re just as human as we are
