He's a house panther with fur dark as night
A non Newtonian cat with eyes of starlight
He won't bring you bad luck, he's a softy at heart
But if you do play, he'll tear you apart
He's stubborn as hell but I'd like you to know
His name is onyx and he's my bestest bro

When I was
young
I had a dog
She had a
crooked tail
and a
twisted tale

I see you there looking at me
cutest thing you'll ever see
pink peach fuzz all over myself
I sort of look like a cute little elf

my nose pokes through the fence
to show my eyes black and intense
I'm just a little guy, won't be a hog
I'll get along great if you have a dog

I'll be loyal, I can learn tricks
I'll trot along, feet making clicks
I want a home, I want to be taken
just please, oh please, don't name me "Bacon"
Cutest picture of a little pig! I want one.

As I lie in bed,
I think about my life.
I wonder about the future,
And I contemplate the past.

I begin to feel tears stream,
Down my exhausted face,
And before I decide,
If I should stay alone.

I remember a face,
One covered in fur.
Yes, it might sound strange,
But he’s my only hope.

I creep down the stairs,
Each creaking as I move.
I fight back tears,
As a look to the face.

This face looks old,
But he’s fairly new.
He has never said anything,
To make me unhappy.

In fact,
He’s said nothing at all.
Yet, it’s always this face,
That I look to.

I don’t wanna cry,
Before I meet him.
Hoping I can fool him,
Into thinking I’m fine.

But alas, I find him,
He’s on the couch sleeping.
That’s always the case.
He’s right where I need him.

As I look into his eyes,
I realize that I have,
No reason to cry.
I kneel down to put my head on his heart.

He looks at me,
With his wide, curious eyes,
And I know that he can feel,
My sadness drain away.

He is my best friend,
He knows how to help,
No matter how much,
I’m hurting, he’ll always be there.

He is a dog to you,
But to me,
He is a lifesaver.
He licks my hand and tells me it’s ok.

My dog is not just loyal,
He’s a superhero.
I need him,
Like I need oxygen.
I wrote this about my basset hound, Charlie, tonight because I realized (with tears falling down my face) that i needed him, and I just wanted to give him a little shoutout.... ❤️ I love you Charlie

I have two purrfect sweethearts and I'm smitten.
They are yellow and they're my two new kittens.
One of my babies is a girl and the other is a boy.
There's nothing like pets to bring a person joy.
They're beautiful, adorable and tame.
George and Peggy are their names.
I love to stroke their soft fur.
When I pet them, they purr.
They've taken a shine to me and owning them is something I'll never regret.
They're two purrfect sweethearts and they're wonderful pets.

Don’t cry mother
You’ll be united once again
Once again be in the presence of a friend
Friendship sometimes comes to an unexpected end
Mother, please wipe your tears away

Don’t cry mother
She may be gone but memories last a while
Remember when she’d snarl when she smiled?
You didn’t need a leash to walk her a few miles
Mother, please wipe your tears away

Don’t cry mother
He prolonged his life to be with you longer
Sometimes you didn’t think he’d make it, he proved he was stronger
Keep him in your heart, and never let the memories be conquered
Mother, please wipe your tears away

Don’t cry mother
Although they lost their option of survival
The Rainbow Bridge awaits your arrival
Companions and friendships will spark a revival
Mother, they’re waiting for you, so they can wipe your tears away.

I don't
want stray
dog freedom,
people bring
dogs home.

I do
want stray
cat freedom,
people leave
them free
to roam.

I had a dream about you last night.
You were laying in my childhood backyard.
I tried to pick you up,
but you were broken.
My mind refusing this reality
made you wake up.
You couldn't walk straight,
but you were your lively self.
Suddenly we were inside,
in my current home.
You jumped onto the couch;
Made silly noises like you always did.
But they were haunting.
My mind made you live as you are
body still broken.
Because you're in the ground,
and I'm roaming the earth looking for you.
Only to see you in my dreams.
At least I got to hold you
One last time.

I need to stand up,
but I am to heavy;
apathetic; hollow.
I wasn't expecting this,
I'm so sorry.
I failed you.
I can't distract myself from reality.
This is all my fault.
I should have treated you better,
I was just so tired; overworked; overburdened.
I brought you into my hurricane
only to be buried a child.
I'm so sorry I couldn't teach you,
to find a way to make you listen;
make you look up.
I loved you to death,
I'm sorry I was to jaded to give you what you needed.
I miss you so much,
I didn't expect this to be so heavy.
I keep seeing your joyous face,
and then the hole in the ground.
Child, I am so sorry.
You deserved better,
you deserved a long life,
you deserved open air.
I did the best I could,
but I can't make you look up,
I can't make their car stop,
I can't wake you up.
I failed you young one.
I'm so sorry.
My dog god hit by a car on 6/7/2018.

She was a beautiful soul.

Work in progress.

When you died I did not tell anybody
I carried on my life as though you were never in it
I did not cry for you
With no visitation your funeral was short,
but I still didn’t find the need to have
anyone there but me.
You were not buried
That didn’t seem to suit your personality,
A swimmer, free, should never be held
down by the harrowing weight of dirt.
A cremation seemed unsuitable too. You
were so frail in death no ash would be left
behind.
I flushed you in my porcelain bowl
One last final swim
