A pass between
the ceiling stints,
ivy sinews,
and unhinged bricks.
The broken glass
still shifts and cracks
in narrow steps
of a time passed.

Streams of oil,
weaving between,
to a seamless,
tar and fissure,
smoke clouds pummel,
passing stranger,
surging street lights,
to the waves of.

On the edge of
the coming rain,
consignment times
as beauty lies.

Craving for a lost soul,
Darkness all over my head
Happy when you're miserable,
Your jealousy I know where it'll lead.

Ecstatic feeling for your lust,
Your wrath that fed my heart.
Wrap my body with your pride that last,
For my demons on your head that chant.

Rockhoppers cry in hunger
Like you in that diner
A plate of fish, raw and cold
Was all that appeased you

Like you in that diner
Candlelight burning bright
Was all that appeased you
Lusting for more

Candlelight burning bright
Could not satisfy your gluttony
Lusting for more
Did the fish taste good?

Could not satisfy your gluttony
A plate of fish, raw and cold
Did the fish taste good?
Rockhoppers cry in hunger
I don't really like seafood, to be honest.

In every direction, to the limits of sight
Squirrels
Scrambling to fill their cheeks
With treasures to sustain
The coming sleep
In every corner, of every block
Squirrels
Frantic, pacing, scouring ground
For imaginary ignitable jewels
Dropped in a dream the night before
Down the paths of affluence
Opulent interests guarded with teeth
Squirrels
Frenzied hoarding for more
Smart black top-coat,
Covering a shiny shell,
On stiff skids of leather
And an armor of importance
Spitting orders, to the others
To forage and pillage,
And steal the nuts
To fatten and fan the
Flames of false dignity
And good intention
Inside holes hidden deep.
I love squirrels, the furry kind.  I carry peanuts in my pocket at all times should I see one.  They are simple, non-judgmental, and what you see is what you get.  I love squirrels, the furry kind

Close your eyes,
Tell me, what can you see?

Blue unclouded skies,
With thousands of stars shining upon me
I see landscapes with snow and sand,
Deepest sees and highest mountains,
I see beauty of nature in every wave that rolls on the land
In every wind blow that refreshes my face,
I see animals, fishes and birds,
All different but also all with the same chords

Now open your eyes, and describe what do you see?
I see ash and terror of creatures that came before me,
Now the results of their greed and gluttony you can see
For today, this world is merely a shadow of what it once used to be

He spoke to me of Heaven and Sin
But he knew I didn't believe in Heaven
So he left me with Sin and prayed for my soul to believe again
Instead I wallowed in those seven demons engraved within
Not Lust, Gluttony, Greed, Sloth, Wrath, Envy, or Pride
My demons go by different names
Lonely, Anxiety, Fear, Judgment, Hate, You, and I
For within myself my own sins lie

“not all that glitters is gold”
they say
he smiles
gold or not, he wanted to have it
needed to have it

his mind splits in two
limbs too heavy to move
thoughts rushing and falling
but they don’t
translate

he determines his worth by his work
the best
being on top means
there’s so far
to fall

his body begging him to stop
he can’t
he lost control long ago
the bottle draws him in
with the bitter taste of oblivion

the red haze of anger
residing in his blood
if you play with fire
they say
you will get burned

always second best
never wanted never chosen
over the ones who could do better
the air is acrid
his face twisted

bodies tangled
skin against skin
neon lights
dopamine and oxytocin and
want

Lust. The way I starve and crave
For that red voluptuous lips
And the other one underneath.

Gluttony. The way I would never
Have enough of your flesh
And your rawness and innocence.

Greed. The way I will never
Share you with anyone else.
Be with me 'till my days in hell.

Lust. Gluttony. Greed.
It's almost poetry by themselves.
Those words fit each other.

Lust. Gluttony. Greed.
So deadly and yet
We are beautiful together.
