what happened to it all ?
when happiness depended on yourself?
when you would walk out the doors confident about yourself ...
living the life you always wanted to live as a child .

generations change .
we care what others think about someone .
following what others do or say .
being afraid of being made fun of .
our generation isn't how it used to be

we act like other people just to fit in

what happened to being yourself ?
everywhere you go , you can't find someone unique .

If you aren't stressed or depressed
They are gonna treat you less.
So shut up about how you're so *******
Blessed.
Like sorry im happy,
And my life is alright,
Am I gonna lose my fans
Cause my  brain is skewed on right?
I don't see how this could be a fair fight,
And I think- what would my idols do?
But even further they've developed mental illnesses too!
Like we're all looking to be biggest threat,
To be the most disturbed person you've
Ever met.
Cause it's poetic and dark,
And I wanna feel deep.
And this positive **** isn't gonna raise a peep.
So I gotta take a jump of faith or some kinda leap.
So I can be who you psychos what me to be!
Like it's easy,
The sadness enticing,
Will help me rhyme better,
Or flow more lyrically.
Like this is my new style.
Give me a minute to think...
Fill my silence with your laughter and childish chatter
As I make myself fall off sanities brink.
Because what really matters
When all you want is hype in twitter?
And to look thoughtful among
All your so called haters?
But your life is perfect...
And you want more,
So you you act like it's less,
So you feel indie and on media adored.
Like maybe you picked up your
Life's passion off the clearance rack in a grocery store. Lol.
But as long as you're not okay!
You know kids be acting fake trying to get some internet love
Posting pictures probably faking gay
Or posting some scars like
white girls have it so hard.
All I'm saying is that this according to this  generation
You have to be broken to get some attention.
And its kinda twisted we gotta feel down
So that we can get lifted.

"Let's go Surfing", said the Father,
on a calm Summer Sunday.

The Son turned on *Wi-fi.
This is a improv poem
As vibrant and vivacious as a brand new totem
My luck feels like a bad game of Texas Hold 'Em
Instead of picking up the cards I fold them
The moon is covered in clouds when I walk out on the porch
Letting my presence sink like a dying torch
I'm not the one who rides on self pity
But I'm the lonely beggar drowning in the city
Barely making it
I can swear to you I'm not faking it
Everything that happens in my life
Should not contuine in my offspring
For they only know unity and peace
Until I send them off into this world
Where people are hanged and ******
For being the ones who want to live freely
As I know times are tough
I must not get my hands too rough
I must make sure the water is just right and my tone is prestine
So they can comprehend why I'm intently serene
So they can remember my words
So that they can swing the sword
With only thier words
For that they can become much more ambitious than other kids in their generation
And seize the hearts of a nation
They could become beloved sensations
That would be my greatest iteration
God bless me for that I've loved
Will bless me with the most beautiful people the Earth could possibly have standing
Taking after their mother
Who is my queen of the kingdom I so want to return to
As life is the opposing men capturing me and keeping me in their cold, lonely, prison.
This poem was done by improv. I really honed my skills at coming up with poems out of the whim. It's a beautiful skill.

Oh programmed youth
youll forever be confined by the lines you're assigned

Youre taught by a rubric for a purpose
so no other thoughts may surface

Youre wordless
worthless

We were raised with the ideas that love endures eternity,
Friends are forever,
Addiction is a myth,
And bad things don't happen to good people.
As we grow up we come to find
Love expires,
Friends turn on each other,
Addiction of some kind is inevitable,
Not everyone has the same heart as us.
We never saw this coming.

Your generation is defined by definitions.
'This generation', this new-fangled bunch of hooligans
Cut out and put in the oven,
Lives pre-formed, based on premonitions,
Put into the system and cranked out
Made up of numbers and tests that really define who you are.
'This generation' that you have given a set of rules
A set of molds to fit into
To pour their lives out and 'better the world'
Shaped with your all-knowing tools
Scissors that cut funding to the parts that maybe,
Perhaps, might make them an individual.
Because here, no, here we don't have room for individuality
But we sure have room for this assembly
Your freedom of religion, speech, and freedom to assemble
No room for that, for fear of immorality
We don't have time for originals, we don't have time for strays
I'm sorry that you've got ideas, Generation Y
But this is the generation of time constraints.
We've got technology to innovate, an ozone to fit
Communities to build and lives put at risk
But that's not as important as what's in the now
No, not as important as these tucks and nips
We've got to put you under the needle
Even after we swore, 'first do no harm',
But this isn't going to hurt, I swear
Well, maybe not on the outside.
Look here, Y, you'd be better off compliant
To fix our computers and drive our trucks
To turn off your TVs and just trust us
To read the chapter and finish the assignment
Because to us, you all learn the same,
To us you are still just a number
Even if you think you're out when you graduate.
So what, you graduated the system,
And it's done it's work on you
Have your daddy pick the college and your mama pick the sheets
Pack your bags, you're ready for the big world
And that's exactly what we made you think.
Generation Y, you are fitting into the molds we gave you
We tried to crank you out in groups of 300
And we did
You were never allowed to be original
And you weren't.
Generation Y, this cookie-cutter, uniform
'Glued to technology', uninterested
Group of 'stupid' teenagers
You were forced to unify
And forced into corrals, thereby,
Forced into lives we've blessed you with.
I swear, by my very intelligence
That we're good by you, good by the world
In evaluating what we need
Where we need people
Hopefully creating a society less-gnarled
Generation Y, you may hate the population
But you are the population
And you are what we told you to be.
Your lives were pre-formed from day one,
So, please,
Sit down, shut up, finish your definitions,
And stop asking why.
I will be doing a reply to this from a 'Generation Y' perspective, as this will hopefully be a debate between the generation gaps.

Knowing that history repeats itself
and to define a fool is also repitition
Theres madness stacked in minds of many on a shelf
mankinds unordinary fatal condition

Our generation is falling
while temporal worldy attainment rises
Technology renewed us into babies, crawling
to the new updated components that buys us

So blend up the world and fit it in your cup
i hope you choke on the faithless future that fuels you
Dont get out of bed dont wake up
when you dont know how to

The spirit of this race was depleted
when the disease of identities was treated
