Our Flying Days
I’m flying over the lake near where you live.
There’s your house, your small wood cabin by the shore.
Looks child like from up here.
The fishing is great.
Views even better.
Especially when you’re stood by the water, at sunset.
My Goddess of the edge; deity of all.
Remember when we made love there?
Do you?
Oh I do...
I mustn’t dwell too much on that.
Watch the gauges and fly.
Don’t want my precious airplane touching the trees.
Not when you’re sat next me.
No distractions baby!
You look over.
And smile.
That says it all.
I return it.
And climb us up towards the clouds.
Standing on our tail, we climb, climb, climb!
You know where I live; in the sky.
I thought flying was the best thing I’d ever do.
I was wrong.
Being with you, my twin flame, is better.
And that means we can fly together in my little tin aeroplane.
I’m no longer alone, just me and my machine.
My friend saw how alone I was.
Now I’m not.
She asks about you.
And is happy for us.
I no longer give into darkness or endure a blade.
Have learnt to trust and love again.
Thwarting Lady Suicide, for good.
I can take you flying and what joy that is, doing this together.
Only making love with you is better.
Flying takes second place.
Freedom of emotion, freedom of movement.
In your cabin, in the sky.
We have that my dear, part of us.
Our lives’ are simple.
We live by your lake in your cabin,
you showed me your Native Indian ways and we fly twice a week in my tin aeroplane.
Our needs are simple and our wants basic.
Just each other and time together.
In your cabin or flying above the clouds.
Soon my dear I’ll teach you to fly.
I trust you with my plane as I do with my heart.
Our cabin, our little tin aeroplane.
You my forest wife, me your pagan husband.
Always and forever together.

A.
Cause that's most people care about these days
Just to get yourself an A

Cause if school says that you are great
Maybe something in your life could change

Life is not about an A
It is something far more greater
That just meaningless accomplishments
Marked upon some written pages

Wanna have a job someday
Wanna live the life you want
Start to learn the stuff you like
Out of pleasure and for fun
Not to hear a guy one day
" Good job, you got an A "
just writing for fun

He goes through women like a food critic goes through a restaurant menu, one after another they were all flings and one night stands. But as his loneliness grows evermore, he comes to realize that one day he wouldn't want to give up a woman that fits all of his desires. That one day Cupid will catch up to him and lock the shackles of love to his ankles. He laughs it off as he orders another drink. Then she walks in, and he can feel those shackles close around tighter.
This is the third and final poem of a three poem project that I've been working on to celebrate the people of Valentine's day. This poem is dedicated to all the bachelors that were finally caught by cupid's arrow.

Never in a thousand lives
I will trade you for gold

The moment I undressed
                     Your expensive clothes
Only to found out the finest of leather
                Can never outmatched
                  The luxury you have
  Between your thighs
Marker
i threw the rose into the canal

and

you pushed the tired away into other people's
eyes

I've always wanted to harvest the Moon
While it sleeps during the day
So that nighttime would be where I am
And it would orbit around my Earth
I would never miss its alluring glow
or the tranquility that brings me to sleep
But then my mind shifts to the Sun
And how worried she must be
Her soulmate is nowhere to be found
The sky as empty as a mourning heart
I deprived of her this glorious being
To satisfy my own selfish needs
I wanted the Moon, but the Sun needed her
I could never be okay with keeping
Something that was never mine
We go after the things we know we shouldn't, and we chase away the things that are meant for us instead
