If you are black, they can,

shoot up your car,
come into your home
without probable cause,
beat you down,
****** you on the streets
while being recorded,
demonize you after the fact,
get away with it.

If you are black
and take a stand
you will be seen as the enemy
by at least half of your society,
even if your trying to
help your community.

You will be imprisoned unjustly,
and even after you’re free
they will try to prevent
or impede
your right to vote.

This is not a fake news reality
this is something that is
quite openly done.

Have you had enough of childish lies
and incompetent response?
Have you bathed in toxic manhood
until you long for nuance?
Are we going to save this planet?
Or will we all move somewhere else?

Will we turn our eyes toward justice
or become a failed police state?
I propose a national "makeover"
a new "US" to change our fate.
You adults will have to do this -
I only hope it's not too late.
A poem about Americas choices
he's begging to breathe
Crying please..
though he's now gone,
the echoes of his desperation
shed light on a dark situation
we're all going through waves
of constant uncertainties,
Yet one aspect is certain,
societies accepted ignorance
is finally falling away,
a martyr, someone's son, our fellow brother
I'm sorry for how you suffered,
these tears fall
yet now maybe we can build
and stand tall,
instead of living in our bubbles
comfortably ignoring the pain of another

The failed struggle of our forefathers has caught up with me.
We all wanted equality, the pursuit of happiness and ******* liberty.
We went up from being slaves, negros, black and now dead - we are endangered species.
Today he was killed by the cold white hand of the one behind the badge, who swore to some like called an oath to serve and protect everyone but the black man.
To them he's just another tragedy, the next sad story amongst a million of his other brothers and sisters, all lay lifeless, merciless and black - but any ****** is justified as long as the cries of the white man are pacified.
Tomorrow the headlines will read "Black Man Consumed by Bullets" and no one saw him, no one killed him, and no one heard his cries.
But I know, us black folks know.
Being any colour but white is the death sentence.
Dead is the new Black.

I hate  political conversations
Especially ones about our dear nation
Should I start with the politician’s lies
Or society’s bias?
Yes, I am young and I don’t know much
But did you see how hard she clenched her purse?
Youths wanna be big
But don’t want to stoop to dig
Trying to look for shortcuts to success
That carries no stress
Men and women in uniform always forget life is A boomerang
they think they can play God cos they’ve got big guns
Our government claim they don’t have enough resources to help us all
but go the extra mile to fund meaningless wars
Humans have allowed their love for innovation to devour them
so much they have failed to acknowledge what they have become
People are so quick to praise loyal partners
Is Cheating acceptable and accessible now?
Politicians love  using tragedies to stay relevant
making false promises to win people over
Countries can’t fix the war on their soil
but go around bombing other countries
to steal their resources and destroy innocent lives
for their financial gain
I see you lot who embrace our black culture
but keep quiet when it comes to our struggle
You can’t choose when to be black sweetie
I don’t know why Vloggers brag about their good deeds
Don’t get me wrong, I am always moved by  your touching videos
but you shouldn’t film the vulnerable
for your views
The internet has  succeeded in painting the perfect body for its audience
that people feel they would be rejected if they don’t meet the society’s standards
We look up  so much to celebrities
because they are reflections of who we want to be
instead of using our little time for our development

Don’t get me wrong
I know and understand

Where have the great games
of childhood gone?

Father and son
tossing the grenade

Little sister skipping
over ***** traps

Somehow, someway
we reached a cease fire
in the "eleventh hour
of the eleventh day
of the eleventh month"

Not sure which of us
was gaslighted
in the eerie orange
of shoreline blood
and the unsettled darkness

"You were right, I was wrong."
read the treatise

Somewhere, someway
an airplane missing
for nearly a century
descends from the clouds
and touches down
in an empty field

The fallen souls
of weaponry
unload on the tarmac

Let the games begin...

By the time you let go
It was too late
What was it with you
That consumed so much hate?

How you knelt down
On his neck for so long
Did nothing in you
Scream, Wait this is wrong?

How bout the words
"I can't breathe"
The humanity
To give A MAN some relief

To see life drain
From pleading eyes
There has got to
Be some evil inside

A grown man
Calling out for his mother
How you had
No love or care for this brother

Black, white or brown
Let's love one another
One thing is for sure
We all bleed the same colour

I guarantee now
You'll never forget
What you thought was nothing
Is histories biggest upset

The BLM movement
Worldwide protestings
Black & white marching
From your act resulting

In that moment in time
You hadn't a clue
Just what the results
Of your actions would do

If you'd known in that time
The after taste from your cup
Would be so bitter
You would have got up!

Police brutality, racism
And the latter
All I can say is
Black lives really do matter

The hurt the pain
The families destroyed
Guess now you'll always remember
The name George Floyd.
I have a badge, an official hat
I know the law, but have no heart
Run your best, I am in uniform
In this attire, my integrity is deformed.

I have a shield, Sirens and gun
I love your chains, I hate your guts
In your best days, your innocence is guilt
Even in your grace, all I see is filth.

You take me as your saviour
Well, I can't, I have lost that savour
My evils shine night and in daylight
In 9 minutes, my protection will take your life.

Your 'I can't breathe' we only give you a grave
Be still, it is televised, you will enjoy the rave
I don't war alone, my demons are with me
You are not alone, there have been and there will always be.

You can call me names, but the deal is done
You can agitate all day, what next when all is said and done?
You can chain me, there are millions with my mind
It is not a war for the street, it is a war of the mind.
Inspired by Floyd' George
