We were just kids
Who grew up too fast.
We grew too apart
For our friendship to last.

We laugh and we talk
Like nothing has changed,
But I hear your tone
When you speak my name.

It was all a lie;
The good and the fun
But at least for awhile
It was a good one.

I don’t understand
How one can move on
From a friendship that ended
Before it begun.
This is based on real life. My best friend and I are kind of growing distant, and it’s sad. She has many other best friends, but I don’t. Without her, I’m lonely. This has happened to me too many times now. It’s worse now though, because there’s nothing physically keeping us apart. We’re just slowly watching each other become strangers.

This goes out to my BFFL (Best Friend For Life)
It hurts to breathe.
All I want is for all the pain to go away
But it's reluctant
and sticks with you as if there's a
glitch in the system,
and it's stuck hovering above you.

Or maybe it isn't a glitch maybe
it's just life's reminder
of the fact that you'll
never be happy

you'll never be okay
you'll be forever in pain

well that is until
there's no more
well that is except for peace.

I went to many people
who promised they could fix me
but it is because of them I am broken
They make me relize my fault
my failures

I pleaded with them to make the pain to go away
they tried, oh how they tried

But my der best friend,
you are the reason I made it this long
Thank you,

But I can't deal with the pain anymore
If you want something done right
you must do it yourself.

So I will
Goodbye
This is the note my best friend gave me, before he committed suicide 12/12/19 at 2:26pm. His Parents knew he was suicidal, nothing sharp was in his room. So he grabbed a pen and stabbed himself in the neck, and laid on his bed. Bleeding, until there was nothing except peace.

10/13/2019 - Poetry form: Kimo - An Israeli form of haiku that has three lines with a 10-7-6 syllable format and which does not rhyme. Also, the Kimo is focused on a single frozen image (kind of like a snapshot). So it's uncommon to have any movement happening in kimo poems. - Copyright © Mark Toney | Year Posted 2019

Bye
I take a deep breath and released all my feelings away.
Removing all the love that I have for you and changing it into something new.

Putting all our memories inside a old rusty box with chains.
So one day I'll open it again and remember that we are once one.

Getting the key of the door in my pocket so I could now go out of your life.

Walking out in your life with a bittersweet smile and tears in my eyes.

As I walk away I still thank God for letting me meet you and be a part of my life.

Looking at the stars where we all started to bind our so called love
And smile because they align just like how our life starts to align now.

Looking at the sky as the sun is saying bye just like how I bid my last goodbye.

It was a pleasure to be a part of your life, now I have to let you go.
Go back to your rightful partner and spend the rest of your life with her.

Be happy and smile bright because you're back in your home.
Be positive enough because you found your positivity.

Be grateful of second chances because you had the second chance to be with her.

Now it's my time to bid goodbye, bye to our love but let the friendship remain.

Best friends stick together.
Best friends know what's what.
They know everything
About the other's heart.
But sometimes disagreements
Make them fall apart.
They still remember everything.
They always keep it there,
In their heart they hide it,
They still deeply care.
Best friends aren't forever.
Best friends aren't for keeps.
Best friends aren't eternal.
But best friends are a dream.
Best friends can be selfish.
I'm sure that we all fear,
Losing our very own.
Even if we do, it's not the end of us.
We will always find the ones we truly care.

My best friend is anorexic.
So I feel it is my job,
To make sure she eats once or twice a day.
Sometimes she gets upset with me.
So I listen to her words.
"She is skinnier than me"
"I'm pretty fat"
I roll my eyes and disagree.
She tells me she is right.
But the fear I have is there.
She won't listen to my words.
Almost eighteen and ninety pounds.
I'm scared that she will die.
I wrap my fingers around her arm,
And tell her I am scared.
She says she's fine and rolls her eyes.
It's not that she doesn't care.
I know deep down she fears.
She'll die from her self torture.
But I see where she comes from.
I understand the choices.
I'm little hypocritical.
I don't eat, and force her to.
I know that she sees that.
They say nothing, I am fine.
It's not like I am her.

This is actually about my best friend.

three little kids
spend every friday
after school together,
make fashion runways
out of eachother’s
building halls,
went from going
on field trips together
to each discovering life
in separate ways,
one grew more popular,
one grew more reliant
and one more in peace
with her surroundings,
how can it be that
they learn to accept
that bodies grow and
distances increase
but not that hearts change?
